The numbers for Y&R are not surprising. The show is very boring. Posted Image |

Well damn! I'm in the steady growing number of people around here that's actually enjoying Days a lot lately. They are known for high rises and pretty big drops from time to time but I didn't expect that much of one. I'm just tired of being in last place. |

And by drop, I meant total viewers but I see the 18-49 is the same. Oh well. |

The dailies went down over the week but the east coast preemption didn't seem to affect it. Weird. |

GH is on fire right now! If B&B didn't have Y&R's lead in, GH would definitely be number 2. |

Sorry for being off topic but whoever that is in the pic under your name needs my phone number STaT! Lol. I'm happy GH is doing well. While I havent watched that show in maybe 10 years, it's cool to see the final ABC soap grow in viewers. It's nice to see any soap grow. We all are soap fans and love one or hate two, I sure don't want to see another soap get cancelled! |

I don't understand something-- the 18 to 34 age group is what TPTB has deemed most important but not the 18 to 49? Do they not care about the 35 to 49 age group? Why wouldn't they look at that one as vital since you've got a wide variety of ages there. I'm really hoping that someone can answer me....thanks in advance! :) |

Not surprised by the drop in ratings. This is a sweeps month but the writing doesn't reflect that. Some of the storylines have improved but the show in general has a long way to go in the writing department. And there's still the problem of overuse of certain characters. At this point Days deserves it's last place finish.

I'm no expert so someone might correct me but I'm pretty sure the key demos are both 18 - 34 and 18 - 49 women. I'm pretty sure they're both important. |

If GH hits 3 million and DAYS is floundering around 2.4 or 2.5 mil I think it will matter. "Last" doesn't even really apply to this situation because there's only 4 shows, but if they're down that much compared to every other show...its going to start mattering. |

DO NOT MESS WITH SHARON!! >:O Sharon Case <3

Y&R is a mess. Trying to pimp Avery out as the lead star when all she does is bake cupcakes. And involving Sharon in Chadumb's mess isn't helping.. |

Right. Last isn't the issue. The actual numbers are. Pointing out that the show is last means absolutely nothing. It's not even a slam at the show. |

^^ITA. For example, look at where Days stood in July of 2007 8. DAYS 2,229,000 (-607,000/-931,000) <--- new low http://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/20736-july-2-6-2007/ As you see, they were even below where they are now and they were STILL not in last place, lol. In looking at these numbers it's a freaking miracle that Days wasn't cancelled already. Look at that year to year number, in early July of 2006 they had almost a million more viewers than they did a year later. That is why I don't believe that Days will be cancelled anytime soon. I still think that they will make it to celebrate their 50th anniversary and maybe then the network will contemplate what to do with them. |
