I just find these shots add nothing to the development of the story. Unless people are in the actual fire I don't think through the flames shots are necessary. I don't need to know what the chimneys point of view is.

Apparently, instead of fixing it they just carted it away. I'm surprised they didn't have someone mention the fog that was blocking the ability to send smoke signals to the mainland -- just to cover all the bases.
