I think the whole story is beyond stupid, but he was there to update the medical stuff at the cabin which they said was being used as an emergency medical place for the island. So it's really not that ridiculous that he had that stuff.
See, I thought that they were just restocking the cabin...like the medicine chests and shit like that. I did not realize that they were using it as an emergency treatment whatchamacallit. I guess I wasn't paying attention as much as I thought lol
Yeah -- the exact quote (from Maggie) was, "[...]we store all the emergency medical supplies for the lake islands out there [at the Horton cabin]. They need to be updated, um...expired medications replaced -- you know, things like that."

Which makes sense, I suppose, since they're treating the lake islands as secluded places that a person can become trapped on for at least four hours (per this episode, where Nicole and Daniel mention that the ferry is on a four-hour schedule) and, at most, overnight (per the episode where John and Kristen got trapped at the cabin overnight, as well as the episode leading into that situation, where Marlena had to wait until the following day to join John at the cabin because she had missed the last ferry of the evening).

No word yet on whether the ferry runs on weekends.

 LOL Oh well...I still like the idea of antibiotics being in the fridge at all times. With Dr. Perv around, especially.
