Showbiz 411 is reporting that Prospect Park has contacted Susan Lucci about reprising the role of Erica Kane on its planned relaunch of AMC on the Web in 2013. The actress is slated to star on Lifetime's upcoming DEVIOUS MAIDS (Lifetime is partially owned by ABC, which is said to be fully supportive of PP's efforts). Lucci is not the only high-profile name in the running to sign on with PP, Digest has learned; the company has put out feelers to several stars from both AMC and OLTL and is interviewing producers, as well. For the full story on Lucci, go here: http://www.showbiz411.com/2012/12/19/exclusive-susan-lucci-has-been-cont...

||I could see Lucci appearing at the beginning, perhaps to send Erica off the show. Or maybe do occasional appearances. But no way would Erica still have the presence she had when the show was on ABC.|

||The line about Prospect Park just faking it to extend their licensing agreement is the only part of that story makes a lick of sense.|

Yeah, but maybe (and I know this is probably really dumb of me to even consider the fact that this is going to happen) because they now have deals with SAG/etc. maybe certain financial holdouts or backers came back?
I know. I know. Believe me, I know there's a slim as hell chance this happens, however, I'd love to be wrong. I really would but man, we could write a book or two on the pros and cons.
I just hate we might have to go through all of this again a year later. Ugh.
