Maybe he would be more interesting if they would stop trying to make him a romantic interest. This version of EJ is pretty boring.

Chad, Kristen, Nicole, Chloe are all three viable suspects. One of them will announce that the baby is not Nick's. Eric will refuse to conclude the ceremony.

Ej had character growth last year with Nicole and was all about only being with someone who accepted him for who he is. Shame all Tomsell care about is using him as Safe angst while taking away all his dignity and stripping him of everything that made his character enjoyable. At this point as sad I'd be if James left I would not blame him in the least. :shame:

No, it lasted about three months, which is still a short period of time, but it wasn't three weeks. Regardless of however long it was, EJ showed more character growth within those three months than he has during his entire stint on Days.

So after spending all this alone time with EJ, Sami finally decides that Rafe is the man she wants, but of course the truth about Will being the father of Gabi's baby will put them on opposite sides and once again, Sami will decide that because she can't be with Rafe, EJ is her next best bet. This triangle isn't playing out very evenly, is it? It's very clear who the man is she really wants to be with.

I am so mad about this!

I DO not want EJ to be her second choice.. is this what he deserves? I think not. EJ move on,.. please :-/ See the light! I want his old self back..

I don't know I think this romance this what is partly what is attractive about him (being good looking and all) but not as THIS sniffling hopeless romancer we seen for some time now. This Sami thing needs to stop,.. if they are planning for EJAMI then do it properly without the annoying Rafe interference.

I think partly because its failing and annoying fans so much (not just EJMAI fans) is,

1. Its being dragged on for years .. way to long.
2. The fact is that EJAMI never got a real shoot after Lucas and the arrival of the Rafe despite the "attraction" between the two.
3. They are repeating and repeating the EJ/SAM/RAFE drama.
4. ..

Can think of anything else? I am sure there is more but there is NEW YEAR here soon.. LOL

Point is, EJ needs to grow back some balls and get over Sami for a while.. at least until they are really giving EJAMI a real shoot. This is not giving EJAMI a real shoot and it won't be as long as Rafe is in the picture. Part of me wishes Samis sister would come back cus then I would know Rafe would no longer be with Sami again.. LOL

In the meantime.. give EJ someone that can give some excitement again... how about Abby? or ANYONE else really! That has not been married to EJ .. LOL

lololol, I just realized that both Chad and Kristen are messing with EJ's plans for Samanther.

Kristen sleeping with Brady has already been spoiled to make Sami go run crying. Chad's going to blow the whistle on the baby which will (probably) make Sami upset. So again she'll be angry with EJ because apparently EJ is in complete control over his siblings and as such he's responsible for their actions.

I SO agree. EJ needs to move on from Sami. A storyline with EJ/Abby would be new and refreshing. James really came alive in his scenes with Abby at the pub last week.

I'm glad that they are making it clear that Sami wants Rafe before all this wedding stuff happens. IF it causes problems for Safe and goes Sami to EJ, he gets to know that he never ever really wins Sami's heart. There will always be someone else.

Also, I am wondering if EJ is the one who over hears Cameron and Gabi talking...and after Sami gives him her happy news of reuniting with Rafe, HE convinces Chad (or someone else) to bust up the wedding in the hopes of breaking up Safe at the same time? The shocking news that Chad comes to Gabi with MIGHT be him offering Gabi an olive branch since he is getting happier with Abby now...But that is before EJ talks him into busting up the wedding...which will also cause him to lose Abby. We have the spoiler somewhere that Chad does something that Abby doesn't agree with....

So let me get this straight. Sami chooses Rafe. Sami was about to have sex with Rafe. This means EJ is going to go away now, right, with zero dignity left but at least he knows loud and clear that once again Sami chose Rafe over him. Not taking sides on the whole EJ/Sami/Rafe fiasco, but I guess I don't understand how obsessing over a woman who isn't that interested in him (and who chooses to be with another man) makes EJ not a DiMera. Isn't that what Stefano did to Marlena for years? :shrug:

When I said that line, I didn't mean it so literally. I meant when I think of a Dimera I think of bad, scheming, maniipulative, mob type person, not gullible, whipped, and pathetic like EJ is being. If he's tired of Rafe, put a hit out on him. I mean, he knows he can't win the Beast fair and square, that's for sure. Stefano may have wanted Marlena for years and he kidnapped her, brainwashed her husband, etc., to prove it, Dimera style. Kind of what EJ did to Rafe. Now he is just plain lost his edge and badassness. I want my bad guys on this show and now there really aren't any. EJ has lost any spark for me. I want EJ to be badboy who knows how to love and keep a woman, not a good boy who doesn't know how to give up on a woman who doesn't want him.

Jennifer ends up in the hospital after a sudden injury.

After Cameron realizes Nick can't be the father of Gabi’s baby, she warns him not to tell anyone.

Though Cameron assures Gabi he'll keep her secret, someone eavesdrops on their conversation.

Wednesday January 9:

Chloe assures Nicole that she'll win Daniel back.

Sami and Rafe get caught up in the romance on the eve of Gabi and Nick’s wedding.

Nick and Will clash.

As everyone plans for Gabi and Nick's big day to be perfect, someone watches with the knowledge that Nick is not the father of Gabi’s baby.

Thursday January 10:

Rafe tells Sami he wants to be with her after the wedding.

Sami is forced to tell EJ about her and Rafe's plans for after the ceremony.

Chad arrives with a surprise for Gabi.

Sonny plans to give Will a key to his apartment.

Nick ademently objects to Gabi wanting Will to be her baby's Godfather.

Chloe admits to Daniel that she found a job and plans to stay in Salem.

After Kate and Chloe have it out, Chloe warns Kate will never see Parker again.

Kate vows revenge against Chloe.

Friday January 11:

Chloe finds someone to help her win Daniel back - and away from Jenn.

Hope interrupts Sami and Rafe before they can make love.

Nick voices why he doesn't want Will to be Gabi's baby's Godfather.

Rafe delivers good news to Gabi.

Hope is happy to hear Daniel is still committed.

Just as Eric is about to conclude Nick and Gabi's ceremony, someone throws a wrench into the proceedings.

This romanticized family man version of Ej is heavy handed in the way they've had Sami acting all enamored by him for it. It's not like her children have known neglect and abuse by the other men in her life. Lucas is an attentive and loving father and Rafe has shown loving kindness to the children as well. If the children had never had a father figure before or had been blatantly disregarded I could understand better her taken by these family moments. As it is, it comes across as weak reasoning to have her forget/forgive Ej's past transgressions, especially those relating specifically to the children.

Ej shouldn't be Sami's first choice because it makes no sense for him to be the first choice. They've side swept all their nasty history and therefore are presenting a unconvincing attraction. I think it reeks of insincerity.

The fact that Ej is now the dullest character on Days just makes it all the worse. He and Kristen could be having such fun together! We should be excited to see what nefarious plans they put in place next instead of this insipid attempt to make him a changed man.

James Scott has said he likes to play the bad guy. He plainly excels at it with the enthusiasm he brings to light on screen. I don't understand why the writers don't play to his strengths.

I agree. Why the writers try to reform Ej is beyond me. JS does not play the nice, goody goody guy well; he never has. Let his character be who he is- plotting and planning to achieve his goals; snarky and underhanded. This version is a waste.
