They get back on the original schedule on Wednesday (thanks to Tuesday's new episode). Monday's episode should have aired on Friday, and Tuesday's episode should have aired on Monday. Tuesday would have been a preemption, and Wednesday's episode would have still aired on Wednesday. So, what that means, as far as I can tell, is that New Year's Eve in Salem was originally supposed to take place over the course of several days*, so New Year's Eve-related events are still occurring on Monday's episode regardless...meaning that they can still tout it as a "New Year's Eve" episode due to a crazy random happenstance. We'll also see New Year's Eve-related events on Tuesday (just a guess here), and Wednesday will be a new day in Salem (as it was always intended to be).

Well to be fair, Sami's low-cut dress is fugly. Nicole's black turtleneck ensemble isn't my favorite outfit , but it isn't completely unfortunate looking either.
