I'm assuming that we'll find out that the switch never happened and if Stephanie had kept her mouth shut, none of the other stuff ever would have happened. Or something like that.

If this was the plan anyway, I don't see why they didn't kill him off and give Bope closure and/or set up for a return from the dead down the road. Now, Hope moving forward in almost any kind of a story will not be bought and the fans are robbed of a great send-off story. So dumb.
