B & B is chugging and Days has just stopped on the track and is moving backward. I know that we keep saying that something has to change but I don't think it could evolve enough to really make a difference. Even if it did, it would take 3 months for us to see that change-- too late....

That's something I guess. (Although "good" is subjective). I don't understand these ratings though, I think the show's improved a lot in the past few months.

People are not looking at tv the week before christmas. Plus last week they were in the plus with viewers. I am enjoying the storylines. The stories they put in motion are coming to fruitiion now very well.

I take your point about the other soaps but it is the loss of two tenths of their share of 18 - 49 women which should be worrying them. This is the key demographic for advertisers and Days can't afford to lose points here. Also the same time last year figures were also the week before Christmas so a decline there can't be attributed to the holidays. It will be interesting to see if this week's Kristen/John/Marlena story results in an upswing as it has a far superior storyline and acting than Dannifer, whch was the focus of this ratings week. I am a little worried though that it wasn't featured strongly in spoilers or promos.

Deleted User	Tomsell are really going to have to stop with these lame predictable SLs. I'd like to be surprised once in a while and sadly I can predict most of the endings to these SLs before they even start. I'd just like a little suspense and intrigue. There's a reason GH is doing so well in the ratings, I'm amazed at how each episode gets me more excited for the next one. They pull out all the stops to make me want to watch while Days does just the opposite. It feels like Days almost isn't even trying. Also Days lack of respect for talented actors like Wally, Judi, Bryan and Matt have really turned me off. It'd be nice if Days could show more respect to their vets and fans. I really think that will come back to bite Days in the ass.

But general hospital is just too much camp for me and the writers just throw stuff and much of what they write does not make sense to me. I like tradition in my soaps which is why I like days.
