wow, i WAS going to post on how i thought Days ratings were amazingly good considering the huge bump they had last week, but those Friday numbers stopped me from saying anything! Thanks NYD, appreciate your help in keeping the numbers artificially up. |

Sigh. They always drop on weeks I enjoy. So next week's ratings should be great! |

What I find amazing is DAYS were all new shows no reruns and GH rerun on Mon and no show on Tues Y&R rerun on Tues. and they still can’t compete with the other shows DAYS will always be in 4th place. KC keeps spouting off about DAYS is about love and family excuse me when is this version on? they have no rooting couples or characters, you have father & son fighting over a women, and breaking up a marriage for awhile, 2 men fighting over the same women, a man so hell bent on revenge that he will ruin a pregnant girls wedding, you have an ex wife coming back to town to claim the father of her child which everyone else thought belonged to a other man. Until TIIC change their attitudes about the show and give the viewers what THEY want DAYS we never move forward! They keep beating the same dead horse and it’s not entertaining anymore. There are just so many times a person can watch a rerun! |

You are swearing now that some day - some day you will destroy me. Remember, far better women than you have sworn to do the same. Go and look for them now.

But, does it matter to NBC anymore how bad the ratings for DAYS are, as they're renewed the show and they've publicly expressed confidence in the creative team behind the current SLs? DAYS is stuck in the 1.8 - 1.9 range permanently, it seems to me, and nobody at the network seems to care one iota - it's as if they're treading water, in the hope that GH's resurrence might stop in the next few months or so. |

Days is going to be waiting for a long time because GH is bringing back Genie Francis, the other half of Luke and Laura. And she doesn't even have to be paired with Luke as she's a stand alone character. They plan to write for her. Also, GH is setting up several couples and are writing for the ones they have now. Days has better catch a clue really quick and realize that convoluted triangles are a thing of the past and solid romantic couples are the future. |

GH could start creeping up on B&B soon for that 2nd spot. |

DAYS doesn't care about catching GH. They might care about getting those numbers up, but these shows aren't competing anymore. The numbers of the other shows are really irrelevant. The shows are each really just competing with themselves at this point. Only Y&R really needs to worry about holding onto that #1 spot, which is safe, so they can keep flaunting their crazy streak of being #1. GH is only going to increase in the ratings. They might be in a brief lull, but February sweeps and April will be insane and I'm really excited to see how high their ratings can get. |

That renewal contract isn’t worth as much as the paper it is written on. DAYS is banking on Ej/Sami sending the ratings through the roof, if they are such a hot couple why wait 6 years to bring them together, they could have had great ratings for years now. But the problem is Ej/Sami don’t bring in the ratings never have. And I agree about the other soaps and couples viewers want to be taken away from their problems for 1 hour they want to watch love and romance in the afternoon and a little fantasy never hurt anyone but DAYS is incapable of providing this. In the fall of 2011 they turned to the dark side and have stayed there, nothing good is happening in Salem! |

EJ and Sami have nothing to do with the long term trend of ratings at the end of the day. The show is doing bad, because the show sucks. |

It doesn't help that they have their sucky triangle EJ/Sami/Rafe and boring Dan/Jen front and centre all the time. |

Kristen's return has been good. Nothing else has been LOL. I've liked a few scenes, some episodes, but overall the show is in a sad place. |

They're part of the problem for a lot of viewers, especially me, but if they were the only problem the fast forward button would be my solution. The entire show is crap and not worth my time, and that's why I no longer tune in. |

I agree with King that the last four months have been good, and yes I've been back watching since Sept 2009. I skipped most of 2007-Aug 2009 due to the show sucking. Not that 2009-now have been much better, but I have enjoyed the last four months. |

I love Kristen, and everyone/everything in her storyline. And I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this Gabi/Will/Nick storyline. I like the EJ/Sami bits here and there. As for the bad... Daniel is a mess, and he always has been. Jen has gotten roped into that, and it is a disaster, but Kate and Chloe being involved are perking things up a bit. I do NOT like that Chloe is turning out to be the villainess in all of this, but, sigh...whatever. I love Nadia. I don't enjoy Greg Vaughn as Eric Brady. He seems miscast, and his acting chops seem to have faded. |

IDK if I'd call it great, but it's been pretty consistently good, since October IMO, and that's way more than I expected. I never thought I'd enjoy tomsell. |
