^Here you go.

I didn't find it clipped, so you have to go to about 3:30. There's some Carly/Lawrence action before that; maybe it's schmoopy too.

Yes, "Wonderful, Wonderful" is certainly schmoop, but it always makes me uncomfortable because Jack looks like being in a musical is perhaps the last place on earth he'd like to be, and his singing is rather painful (yet you know Matt Ashford is right at home singing in musicals). Of course, the Jack discomfort factor is part of what makes the scene good.

Re: Jack and Jennifer "I believe in you" kiss. Yeah, schmoop is perhaps too trite a word for it, but I do think it's in the running for most romantic scene in daytime TV. And I think they do both make declarations. One of them just tries to take it back. :)

Of the Jack and Jennifer proposals, my favorite is the Jade Plant. I love Matt Ashford getting his Jimmy Stewart on.

Rooftop proposal is also good, and I also love Jack's letter to Jennifer after their wedding.

Matt, thank you for those promo clips. Yes, that stuff is Days. But, dang, Anna's wedding dress. Was that a good look in any decade?
Thanks for the "wonderful" clip AHM :D I think the good stuff starts at the 2:15 mark in that clip. I don't really think this classifies as schmoop as I earlier stated but it's as close as I could get for any J&J scene.
Oh and I found the 2nd part of those scenes...which are just as good http://youtu.be/bq0aHpwhCCg

They really didn't do any schmoopy scenes LOL!

I always loved when Doug sang "The Look of Love" and "The Most Beautiful Girl in the World" to Julie when they were having their affair in the early 70s. Corny I suppose but I loved it. Here he is singing the latter song to Julie more than 20 years later right after they reunited and remarried off screen. It had been nearly ten years since they had last been on screen together. (And thanks Jason for uploading the clip!).

♥ LUMI ♥

I loved Lumi's last proposal too...it wasn't so cheesy as the first one but it was very personal to them, very intimate...just the two of them on Valentine's Day, in Sami's apartment and the acting and the dialogue was top notch. When they are sitting by the fire in that arm chair...man Bryan and Ali truly gave it their all....

where the hell did this Sami go...I believed Sami loved Lucas and only Lucas.....somehow that Sami I can't see ever coming back now.....not that I never brought her love for Rafe either, or Brandon....that is what I'm trying to say, I could BELIEVE from the acting, the dialogue and the build up that Sami was CAPABLE of loving...now, I doubt that very much.

That was one of my picks too, LL - it's my fave of the Lumi proposals (and there have been maaaannny) =) Ignoring what else and who else was going on at the time, of course (ok ok - I won't go on about it). And I agree with everything else you say - no surprise there!

Oh that's easy. The schmoopiest proposal ever:

It's a thousand kinds of velveeta and I love every minute of it.
Yes, I'm quoting myself, what of it?

I get that everybody has their favorite couples and there have been some wonderful moments posted. But, honestly, how can you not watch this and see that it is the schmoopiest, cheesiest, most OTT proposal ever? He's singing and SIGNING the song. She's DEAF and MUTE. He's crying (granted, that's not unusual for Steve, he's a bit of a sap).

Come on, people. Show some objectivity here. My boy wins hands down. ;) :D

LOL at your campaigning, esp. I will put in a vote for your super schmoopy with an extra side of cheese proposal. I really did love it and watched every second of it the other night when you posted it. Can't believe Steve did the whole damn song!

It is certainly schmoop. And good schmoop. Schmoop is so often crap, but this is good schmoop. I mean, it's OTT, and I don't care, because these two deserved some OTT.

Yes they did. I said this on Twitter, but I'll repeat it here. This scene encapsulates everything that I have ever loved and hated about soaps.

He's proposing in sign because she is deaf and mute due to an attack by her father in law, a Senator/presidential candidate turned serial killer. The proposal is coming now because her husband, his long-lost and recently revealed brother, has finally granted her a divorce after delaying the process despite the fact that he raped her after finding out she was having an affiar with the guy now proposing. Not to mention that the guy proposing had spent the better part of the last 18 months running from the woman he is proposing to for various reasons related to his thug past, his abusive/abandoned childhood, and his desire to save said long-lost and recently revealed brother.

It sounds fairly ridiculous when written out, yet it was one of the best (IMO) storylines the show ever did. And, it continued in various forms for another 2+ years. That is everything great about soaps.

The OTT cheesiness and schmoopiness is everything that ever caused me to roll my eyes at a soap opera. But when coming at the culimination of all of the above, it also made me bawl. And that's what makes it great.

^Yes, I've always said that it doesn't matter how crazy the situation is. What matters is if the characters seem human, and if I can believe their emotions. And I believe Steve and Kayla.

Last one, I swear.

I was young when this was going on and watched it in secret, lol.

Kate and Nick - in her office.

Kate is a MILF and Nick was sex on a stick.

http://youtu.be/3ITvovmhP3w
Holy crap! How did I miss this?
When you said Nick, I thought you meant Nick Fallon and watched it because I knew Nick and Kate never did it...Nick and Billie did and it wasn't all that hot.
I didn't know you meant Nicholas! LOL!

Man, Kate needs her office back. That woman knew how to turn it on with the guys...especially the young ones.
When she pulled off his towel, I didn't know what she was going to do! Holy hell!! LMAO!

They should have a HOT catagory and a romantic catagory. Because this should be in the hot catagory...along with Dan and Chloe. That was almost porn too.

That's a pretty solid debate for schmoopiest scene ever - I have to concur. :$
