We want to know about your favorite Stefano DiMera moments. You have until next Monday to contribute. Remember, we're making a countdown, so the more "votes" a scene gets, the more likely that it will appear on our final list. Make sure you provide enough context that we can figure out which scene you're talking about. You can post your favorites in this thread, pm them to me, or tweet them to the DR account.

I can't remember the scene between John and Stefano, I was a bit young back then but I do remember a line he said. It's stuck with me all these years - "Go back to your loverrrrr, Marrrrlena!" when I think of Stefano, that's the first thing that comes to mind.

I really like when Stefano isn't being an evil psychopath. I think one of my favorites has to be:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzamPbz2TjQ&playnext=1&list=PL617DC79C2C664B17&feature=results_video

It's right after The Possession storyline, so he still has amnesia from when MarDevil threw him over the balcony, she had been exorcised & he was recuperating at the Penthouse. Joe Mascolo is really so sweet in the part.

I have four that come to mind:

1985. When Marlena shot him, on that catwalk. It was just this culmination of everything that had happened the last three years. Marlena wasn't psychotic, she was just lost in grief (Stefano killed Roman) and tired of being afraid for her family. And Stefano actually seemed scared of Marlena. Which is why I find the Stefano/Marlena relationship so interesting. Marlena is really, the closest thing to a real threat to Stefano. John may have the knowledge that Stefano taught him, but Stefano had actual feelings for Marlena. He wanted to kill everything she stands for and everyone she loves, as much as he wants to make her love him. I wish we'd continue to see that, but thankfully, DH and JM play up that little creepy-factor in every scene they have.

1993. When Marlena sees Stefano. He'd been gone for two years, Marlena is 9 months pregnant and she turns around, sees a figure in a wheelchair, and she just sort of knows. And then when he turns around...? CHILLS. CHILLS! Especially as the audience, because you know that Marlena is pregnant with John's child, but she's also married to Roman. The three people who hate Stefano the most. And there he is. And her "friend", Kristen, is by his side, the ever loving daughter. It's just really good stuff.

1996. In Aremid, Marlena seduces Stefano to save John's life. Another scene that truly shows that Marlena is Stefano's weakness. And ignoring the fact that Marlena seduces the man who's almost ruined/taken her life so many times, for the sake of saving John's... sweet mother of all that is angst! I love this scene because we, as the audience have known that Stefano has been faking his amnesia, but Marlena's still sort of reeling from that fact (Stefano doesn't know that she knows). Marlena's been by his side to help him get better, because she has a soul and conscience, and feels guilty for throwing him off the ledge when she was possessed (which was Stefano's fault in the first place.... damn, I miss you Reilly).

1996. While holding her in the cage, Stefano offers Marlena her freedom, in exchange for one night with her. She's debated it for a long time, and eventually is so desperate that she agrees. They have dinner, it's all good and creepy. Marlena looks pained, but she's determined to get through it... and when it's about to happen, Stefano can't. And that's the complexity of this character. Yes, he wants Marlena. Yes, he hates everything she stands for. But he also wants and truly believes, that in time she will come to him. She will love him, eventually, if he courts her (in his way) and shows her how far he's willing to go for her. But he can't force her (thus, raping her).

That's what seperates Stefano from Tony and EJ. He wasn't willing to rape the woman he claimed to love. He couldn't go through with it in the end. 1997 is when I feel we sort of saw the last of the real Stefano, the real villain... He was evil, but like all good villains, he had just one weakness.

In just a purely "I heart Joe Mascolo" way... I love when Stefano buys Marlena the burgers from the Brady Pub. It's just so non-Stefano, but so sweet.

When Stefano comes to Roman and Marlena's door with Sami's dairy, and the knowledge that Sami knew all along about Marlena sleeping with John.

Stefano showing up at the church during Belle's baptism forcing Marlena to admit the truth.

Marlena shooting Stefano on the catwalk in 1985.

After John died in 2007, Marlena drugs him.

I promise to find clips later if I can, but my favorite Stefano moment is the scene with Steve and Stefano in Stefano's hospital room after Steve finds Benjy's body. They have a really great confrontation and then Steve takes him hostage.

Tony finally gets his revenge on Stefano when he leaves him in the secret room, some of Joe and Thaao's best work (1985)

Stefano fakes his death at "Tony" and Kristen's wedding (1994)

Stefano gets his memory back. My favorite part is his flashback when he tells Celeste about being the Phoenix (1996)

When Stefano is in the middle of kidnapping Marlena, Lexie stops by and tells him that he is her father (1996)

Stefano returns to Salem and blackmails the judge to sentence Jack to life in prison (1997)

John stabs Stefano on the submarine (1999)

Stefano and John's standoff before he exits Salem (2001)

There are so many priceless Stefano scenes, but here's a few that come to mind right away. I'm sure they could be found somewhere on YT:

-When Stefano is finally locked up in 1996, and the prison guard tells John and Abe he beat him in chess three times. J&A automatically knew Stefano escaped. They race to the cell and then the guy starts peeling away a Stefano mask.

-Fighting the devil towards the end of the possession storyline in '95.... hilarious footage

-Coming through that armoire all the time in '94-'95

-Marlena drugging him in the jail cell after they found John alive in early '08

-I just think this little part is hilarious - at 5:40 when he says Celeste is the only psychic he knows "bogus, or otherwise" - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CmNevlyMuLk&list=PL36C244F2244B4513&index=13

-Any time he dressed up (Elvis, old woman, and the best as a waiter at J&M's engagement party - it was completely obvious); and any time he appeared back in the day, that flute sound would play... LoL

My fave band is the Stones, so this was a treat to find this gem: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sODGXdjtw_M

This Stefano scene always stood out to me. It's after he "shot" John & prepares to leave Salem, and bumps into Shawn & Belle at Salem Place. He says "Belle Black & Shawn Brady. Perhaps one day it will be YOU who is trying to catch me."

Starts at 6:37

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cpRaflE0Xso Classic villain exit scene. Love his hat & island shirt. LOL

My favourite Stefano scenes:

1. Maison Blanche- John thinks he outsmarted Stefano, not until he finds out that Stefano had an ace in his sleeve: Marlena. Stefano tells John, "Checkmate." (Love this, have not heard Stefano say this to John for so long)

- Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23R4HsZIs80

2. The "good" Stefano. I loved it that he really had amnesia; and despite that, obviously he was intrigued and besotted with Marlena, much to John's chagrin (and rage).

- Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsw8CG7KvhI

3. Stefano being taunted by Marlena- Marlena wants Stefano's help for Sami to be free/ let out of her marriage to EJ. Stefano wants Marlena's love and devotion in return. LOL

- Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZ7b8YMHTrI

4. Maison Blanche storyline - Poison soup: Stefano prepares a "party" for himself, John and Marlena, blackmails him into drinking "soup" to brainwash him (any of these links are filled with Stefano goodness)- especially Link 1.

- Link 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXRpm4UyrYY
- Link 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2sGo0HoosTo - around 3 mins in.
- Link 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMIZ0J8eFFs

5. John getting one over Stefano, but NOT without Stefano making his point heard (Susan's baby Elvis are boarded on a plane to London, John and Marlena outsmarted Stefano this time). Loved Stefano's reaction here, and you see the lengths he will go to get his loved one/ blood relation.

- Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ssve1VkRjdk

6. Who can forget this: 4 Marlena clones courtesy of Stefano!!! :D This is during the possession storyline in 1995

- Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ce7PhYiJzjA

7. Stefano's queen of the night ball

My favorite moment would be when Tony locked him in the secret room in 1985 (their final scene together for years; Sindacco posted it above). Such great acting.

I think the most iconic scene, however, has to be Stefano shooting Roman and Roman's subsequent fall off of the cliff in 1984. It's probably his most famous scene (in fact the most famous scene of any daytime villain), and it changed the course of Days' storytelling history in ways that are still felt today nearly 30 years later.

Tony wasn't in love with Liz when he raped her. He was in love with Renee.
