I watched nearly every reel and pretty much nailed my predictions. Supporting Actor is the only category that gave me any issues. I only got 6/10 there. That also had 19 submissions so it was the most difficult. Lead Actor I was 10/10. Lead Actress I was 9/11. Peggy McKay is not a surprise to anyone who watched the reels. Its deserved. I don't agree with her submitting for Lead and I think the people who run the awards should have a little more say into where an actor can submit. They should have told her no, you're supporting. And they should have told other people to go into other categories. I don't have a problem with Jason Thompson being Lead AT ALL. He was a lead when this storyline played out. That's really what I care about. Its one episode. These awards aren't for a whole year of work or these things would be totally different. Supporting Actress I also got 9/10 right. My guesses are in the submissions thread. KDP screwed me over TWICE! There is no use in complaining or doing anything really over the Younger Actor and Actresses because they got a bye through the first round and were automatically Pre-Nominated. So their being pre-nominated doesn't mean they earned a damn thing. They haven't even been judged yet. I'm happy to see DAYS so well represented even if they don't deserve more than one of these nominations. They get snubbed too much. I have to say there are no big snubs this year based on who actually submitted. Of course the OLTL actors decided not to submit so that sucked. Some strong people just decided not to submit so it gives other people who wouldn't normally deserve pre-noms to get in. About to make my top 5 predictions based on original reels, even though they will change when I watch the new submissions. |

Not picking winners until I see the new reels that people likely will submit. Some people will keep theirs but I can see a lot of new reels coming in. I do this with very little confidence. Freddie Smith, DAYS Favorites : Chandler Massey and Max Ehrich 5 I want : Same 5 Young Actress 1. Hunter King, Y&R 2. Kate Mansi, DAYS 3. Kim Matula, B&B 4. Haley Pullos, GH 5. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, B&B Favorite : JMW 5 I want : Same 5. Wouldn't mind Banus or Alderson getting a nom though. Not that they deserve one. Supporting Actor 1. Bradford Anderson, GH 2. Scott Clifton, B&B 3. Billy Miller, Y&R 4. Peter Porte, Y&R 5. James Reynolds, DAYS Favorites : Billy Miller, Scott Clifton 5 I want : Anderson, Datillo, Miller, Reynolds, Vaughan Supporting Actress 1. Jessica Collins, Y&R 2. Melissa Claire Egan, Y&R 3. Blake isn't younger. He's too old for that category . But I do think he was robbed of supporting actor. He's been incredible and has been since coming back  . I wonder what reel he submitted. Surprised about Peggy. I thin it's great she was nominated but don't see her in the same league as the other actresses. While, I think Chandler is a shoe in for younger, I think Freddie may get a nomination. It's not based on several episodes. Isn't this based on one 2 minute reel and then another episode? So that is why some people that don't even have a lot of airtime wind up winning sometimes. Not being biased he was Emmy worthy IMO with the episode where Will pushed Sonny away after Sonny kissed him. I also thought he was Emmy worthy with the scenes where Will tried to have sex with Sonny after talking to Lucas and Sonny pushed him away or the episode where Lucas found Sonny and Will almost having sex. I really hope Kate Mansi gets a nomination. She's an amazing actress who is given more airtime. Edited by michr544125, Feb 27 2013, 07:47 PM.

Not that it would matter anyway, but I really don't think anyone from Days really stood out this year. There just weren't any noteworthy performances, IMO. |

Ari's miscarriage scene is really the only DAYS scene that jumps out as me as Emmy worthy. I don't think she will win, but I would be shocked if she weren't nominated. As far the rest Chandler's Emmy is basically by default because Younger Actor is so weak. Max from Y&R could take it though, but I don't know what he submitted. Not DAYS best year. I'm still shocked over BD, GV, and SC getting pre-noms. |

I really don't understand why soap columnists like Muhney. IMO, he's a straight up bad actor. however, he's a high scale azz kisser and that might be why the magazine critics like him. |

I overlooked Reynolds when I said just Ari. As I expect voters to do. He was FANTASTIC when Lexie died. I really hope for him to get a nomination and that category is so weak. Just think his name doesn't pop out like some of the others so I hope the voters actually watch the damn reels. Peggy McKay's reel is good, but when they submit full episodes in this next round I don't think it will work much for her. Her pre-nom reel with just her confusion with Bo and conversation with Victor was perfection. |

I agree. Every year there are nominations that make me ask, in an annoying, disingenuous voice, "Really?" None of these did. My personal picks (which, naturally, carry oh so much weight) would probably be Finola Hughes or Kelly Sullivan for Lead Actress, Jason Thompson for Lead Actor, Ari Zucker for Supporting Actress, James Reynolds for Supporting Actor, Kate Mansi for Outstanding Younger Actress and Chandler Massey for Outstanding Younger Actor. |
