Probably because the character has had such shitty character writing since he debuted five years ago. i can't believe it's been 5 years since Shawn Brady Sr.'s death and the whole "Bo's pancreas" storyline.

After five years, we should know this character inside and out. I don't feel like I have a clue who Daniel Jonas is. Not after "knowing" him for five years at least. He's the result of shitty character writing. Yes, shitty writing or not, the character is big fail in any case, for me, a boring doctor who fools around with women not just entertaining.. I mean there are some characters that have been subjected to shitty writing but despite that the characters are still interesting: )

But is it possible that he was asked to stay (thus he was "wanted"), but he's choosing not to? Wishful thinking, I guess. Like many here, I have no issues with the actor, but his character needs to go.

Also another thing that bugs me, if you hate a character why be rude and tweet it to the actors. They are only doing their job and what they get pay to do. They have no control what the characters do.

Rowell goes for the jugular. She says things you can't really take back. I don't blame Steve Kent for not allowing her to work for him ever again. I just can't fault him. She accuses him of being a massive racist and wants everyone to boycott Y&R. Its not worth the risk of having her get fired from DAYS or not get enough airtime and have her blowing her stack against DAYS. The show isn't in a good enough position to risk her having any kind of negative impact. Having said that she would have absolutely ROCKED that role and if she wasn't a total nutjob it could have been a huge get for DAYS. Too bad things aren't different for her. She's done this to herself.
