OK,so for me, that only positive was the 25 second ad BEFORE this because it was a Justin Timberlake ad! :applause:

Geez, will this storyline EVER end? :badmood:

So unbelievably gag-worthy.
When will this show get a clue?

I understand that Dannifer do have their fans, but do they actually get excited about them or is it more like "I like them"? Do they inspire passion in anyone? The most irksome thing is how the writing transparently expects us all to love them so much, when they are gag-worthy to many because of Jack and sort-of-okay to those that had no attachment to Jack and don't mind them for some reason.

We know that the show must know that people find them annoying, else Anne wouldn't exist. But seriously, all this investment and desperation just alienates me.

:puke: :puke: :puke: When was the last time we didn't have a preview involving this lame-ass couple? Seems like forever. It's always them. I don't know why I even bother to wonder anymore who it will involve.

Well maybe it just seems like its always them. I'm just on Dannifer overkill. They've been on almost nonstop and I'm sick of it. I don't care for every story going on, but I'd still welcome almost anyone else in one of these previews.

You know, I might get my butt kicked by some for saying this, but I'm going to put it out there: I find it odd that the arguably, the best storyline out there is a gay-potential gay bashing-homophobic-possible great venue for social storyline out there, with a headwriter who is gay (are Tomlin and Whitsell both gay?), yet the one that seems to get shoved down everyone's throat is a storyline where the heroine (and I use that term loosely) is played by an actress perceived as being not so gay friendly (either that, or she just really likes chicken). You would think Tomlin would want to write more for the Will storyline, a la Ryan Murphy with Glee, and focus on this pretty strongly (which I am all for. It's got great potential). Yet...........Does anyone else see the paradox? Or am I thinking too hard? I am willing to be corrected (nicely, of course, LOL)

This promo is like a parody of the worst aspects of a soap opera. And I hate the breathy way both Melissa Reeves and Shawn Christian speak individually. Putting them together is like torture to me. And while I'm at it, Daniel just seems so dirty he reminds me of Pigpen in Charlie Brown.

She's perceived as not gay friendly on line. She's had support from several gay cast members and crew members, though.

i used to say basically the exact same reaction statement when the previews seemed to always revolve around Sami/Ej/Rafe.
i think it's safe to conclude that the previews NBC puts out are no longer highlighting the shock moment of the week, but rather what TPTB think that we should all be watching for.

It has occurred to me that Dannifer is part of the price we pay for having TPTB go along with the Wilson storyline. In their executive board rooms, they probably analyzed the pushback from the public for allowing a gay storyline on their soap, so they probably made some sort of deal that if they went there, they would have to also really push an (in their minds) old-fashioned romance story in parallel to give those viewers who might be anti-gay something. Maybe they're trying to demonstrate they know how to include a classic romantic storyline in their mix.

Meanwhile, the only story that has any old-fashioned romantic appeal for me among the current line-up IS Wilson. Ironic, no?

It still seems weird, but oh well.
