I was just thinking about how ridiculous it was that Caroline was at the strip club.

Not only does it make no sense that she is in Chicago (remember they established that the club is in Chicago two weeks ago), but the story she told was that she and her friend from the Alzheimer's group had ditched the people they were with and had snuck away to have some fun. So basically, two old women with Alzheimer's are now missing in Chicago. And Abby just goes "oh, that's nice, let me worry about Anne seeing Cameron now." Kayla and Roman are probably going nuts with worry right now.

Not to mention that we're talking about Caroline "my second home is St. Luke's" Brady. Even if you buy that she would go to the strip club in the first place, there is no way that she be so nonchalant about Abby seeing her there.
Chalk it up to the Alzheimers. :P

I really don't see what the big deal is. She's old, not dead. Let her have some fun!
I see the point that it's cute and funny for the writers to toss in the old lady at the strip joint, but I also see it as the writers going for a cheap joke in a way that disregards the character. If the writers generally showed they respected veteran characters and this was intended to be part of a storyline, then I wouldn't mind. (For instance, Caroline having a "bucket list" of things she wants to do before the Alzheimers gets too advanced would be fantastic, but I doubt that is part of TomSell's plan.) It bugs me that the writers just toss in such a WTF? scene and expect viewers to fanwank an explanation.

Things no one thought they'd say a month ago -- "The strip club scenes/storyline is all kinds of fun and win."
The thing that kills me are the scenes with Cameron "preparing" for his act to build tension. Like strippers do that much mental prepping!

Interesting EJ mentioning his son with Nicole especially to a group of people who already knew everything surrounding the circumstances of the child's birth. And Freddie's good looks really stood out in those scenes with Will and Ejami.
Perhaps an anvil dropping. It would really throw a kink in ejerk's plans to wed Sami.
I think it was more of a reminder as to what is motivating EJ (beyond just his relationship with Sami) to push so hard for Will and his rights as a father. He has first hand experience in this kind of nonsense.
I thought it was stupid for EJ to use Nicole's baby as a reason. The entire time she was pregnant he told her and everyone it was his baby even after Rafe said the baby belonged to him and the baby was dead before he was delivered.

Maybe I am a bit evil but I wished drunk Anne had been hitting on Chad and they ended up in bed together, with both of them regretting it the next day. It could add another layer of fun to what is easily the most amusing story on the show right now.

Caroline at the strip club was so out of nowhere and so damn funny. It's too bad we didn't get a scene of Caroline stuffing some money into a stripper's shorts. That would have been awesome.

I feel badly for Parker. He deserves better parents than both Daniel and Chloe. At least his parents were tolerable in their scenes today. I don't think I have said that about them since this story started.

The rest of the week may have been dreadful but at least the week ended well as this was a fun and watchable episode.
Here's my problem: Who's to say Caroline won't blab about Cameron? Maybe Anne's not the only one they should worry about. In fact, the show might have set that up for later. Watch: Anne will be at the Brady pub while it 'hits' Caroline where she saw that young man at the strip club: it's Cameron!

That "bucket list" idea does sound fantastic! Since going to a strip club isn't something Caroline would do, she could have had "do something spontaneous, wild and crazy" on the list but told her friends she didn't know what to do for that one. Than her friends could have brain stormed till they came up with the crazy idea of tricking Caroline into going to the club and convincing her to stay, laugh and have fun

Dang, you know, wouldn't it be cool if these ideas could get submitted and acted on the sly by the actors and posted as a web series? The Alternative Universe Salem. I love it!

EJ knew Nicole was lying about the baby's paternity. He didn't really think that Rafe was the father. However, with Dan's help, Nicole was able to switch the paternity test. Gabi is not lying about the paternity and actually wants both Will and Nick in Arianna Grace's life. Nick doesn't want Will in his child's life and Nicole didn't want EJ in their child's life. That is the similarity. Nick is going to try to get Gabi to put his name on the birth certificate to further separate Will and Arianna. If Ejole baby lived, Nicole would've put Rafe down as the father. Which would have made it harder for EJ to claim paternity. It is not exactly the same, but EJ does know what Will is feeling because he was kept from his kids too. EJ wants Will to be there from Arianna's birth and not have him lose any time with her because of Nick. I think that was what EJ was talking about in this episode.

I'm LOL at all these posts about Caroline being at the stripclub... who the F cares. The woman was with her friend from AZ's, and I HIGHLY doubt that she's got AZ too. Caroline deserved some fun after looking after her grandchildren etc for years!! :D

I honestly don't see what EJ missed with Nicole's baby and Will has missed even less.I don't recalll EJ even going to see the baby after the baby was delivered and he went to Sami and offered to have his dead baby's DNA tested just to prove to her that Rafe was a liar. Will was present for the sonogram. He received a copy of the sonogram.I at a loss to recall what Gabi actually refused Will in connection with the baby.I know she chose a name for the baby without consulting Will but until the baby is born, the baby's name is not written in stone and I think if he has strong objections to the name,Gabi would likely reconsider. She is still shown as considering Will a good friend and wanting him to be part of his baby's life.Even Nick is not saying Will is not the biological father,he just doesn' want Will to have legal rights in connection with his daughter.

You highly doubt who has Alzheimer's?

What Caroline deserves and what's in character for Caroline are separate things.

Pretty much NOT EJ's finest hour. Even after the delivery the only reason he seemed to show up was to get Nicole to admit Rafe was not the father. The only child he did not know he was the father of and died before he knew about it was Grace (while she wasn't really, Sami did not know that at the time). While Baby Ejole fits the Will/Gabi situation a little better than Grace, Grace fits the scenario that EJ described than Baby Ejole. However, rewriting history on this show is nothing new (Nicole being drugged and forced to make porno movies by her father while underage entitles the rest of Salem to call her a porn star and act like it was something she did willingly and consentually, for example).

I miss having the full-on recaps for when I want to know something.

Like is Chloe really leaving Parker with Fetch? Has she said that specifically yet? Or are we still assuming at this point?

They're still posted for each episode the day after.
Learn something new every day. Thanks. :)

He didn't get a chance to take part in the pregnancy experience. I have no idea whether or not he went to see the child, (we weren't told what happened to the baby after his death either, but I think we can assume he's not still at the hospital) but he was shown being upset when Nicole and Rafe had him barred from the exam room when Nicole was getting a check up, so it's clear that he wanted to be there for those moments. As for Will - Gabi is not the one who's barring him from being part of the pregnancy, but Nick has already forced Will to sign over his rights and warned him to keep his distance, so he's in the same boat as EJ was, even though in this case, it's the future stepfather doing the shutting out, instead of the mother. Do you think Nick wouldn't threaten Will if Will tried to attend Gabi's appointments, or suggested a different name, or wanted to be there to see the birth? Gabi is basically a walking incubator in this story. Nick is running the show and taking liberties he has no right to and ultimately, Gabi is allowing it. And the situations are not exactly the same, but in both stories we have a father knowing that he's being shut out, unlike what Sami and Rafe did with Grace.

This is NOT even how it happened. EJ was at Rafe's, realised he got a call from the hospital and hightailed it over there because 'the baby is coming'. He approached a nurse to see his son and there is where he learnt that his child was dead. We even got to see EJ grieving in one of the rooms in the hospital where a little boy found him before he even approached Nicole to get her to confess to the truth.

A poster above described perfectly how these two scenarios are simular; being Nick and Nicole are doing/did everything in their power to keep Will/EJ out of their child's life while in utero. EJ knows exactly what Will is going through based on what Nicole did to him.
