Day-To-Day Ratings - HH/Total Viewers

||That's much lower than I expected for Days.|
|outrageous||Jun 2 2013, 12:03 PM Post #3|
||The ratings have consistently been beter than they've been in years and they've consistently regained viewers. Good to see!!|
|Southofsoap||Jun 2 2013, 12:12 PM Post #4|
What level of ratings were you expecting?
|DiMera87||Jun 2 2013, 12:42 PM Post #5|
||This is what I expected. This is still a shit time overall for ratings so I don't think much more can be expected right now. The fact that they gained throughout the week is pretty impressive to me...rarely ever happens. That probably means people were actually making sure to tune in the next day.|

♥ RIP William Robert Horton ♥
|I expected higher after that press release. Oh and I'm not sure why but Days should really not bother with recognizing any trending of Days on twitter... Didn't Days trend in that Monday?? It managed to be the lowest day of the week. I think they also tended another day that week, does anyone remember when it was?|
|DiMera87||Jun 2 2013, 02:25 PM Post #7|
DAYS trended like every day next week so that correlation (or lack of) will be more obvious. DAYS was the #1 trend in the US on Friday. But I don't think they put stock into it as far as ratings go. Trending is more about the social media buzz, which networks will start focusing on more and more.
The press release had the numbers in the release so I'm not sure how anything more or less could be expected.

||Congratulations to Days for doing a wonderful job on a very tight budget.|
|Nate||Jun 2 2013, 03:57 PM Post #9|
||GH went down :)|
|lysie||Jun 2 2013, 04:38 PM Post #10|
But it's pretty impressive that they went up at the end of the week.
|talbab1994||Jun 2 2013, 04:42 PM Post #11|
I wish I could say that GH deserved stronger ratings, but sadly, they didn't. IMHO, these next go around of storylines aren't impressive enough to even watch. That's sad to me because just a month or two ago it was firing on all cyclinders.

||From the press release, this is exactly what I expected. Now if they don't get a 2.0 from NEXT weeks ratings (which may be difficult since they missed a day), I will be pissed. Tomsell can't write a love story to save their skin, but this week proved they could write drama.|
|natdot99||Jun 3 2013, 07:54 AM Post #13|
I would like to know why the ratings for AMC and OLTL were excluded from the ratings.
IMO, May sweeps for all daytime dramas were boring and FF material.
On GH, Robin Drake mystery should have been resolved before they brought back the OLTL 2.0 characters.

Because online viewing isn't monitored by Nielsen boxes.
|six||Jun 3 2013, 10:20 AM Post #15|
IDK about your question, but if Days trended on Monday then got higher ratings on Tuesday, the show could believe there was a connection between that free advertisement and the bump.
|T-Love74||Jun 3 2013, 10:26 AM Post #16|
I would think that would be fairly obvious
|tomsawyer||Jun 3 2013, 10:42 AM Post #17|
||I think the impressive thing about Days' numbers is the gains toward the end of the week, indicating the on-screen stories actually got people to keep tuning in to see what happened next. And also, the big increases in the key demo is nice. Unlike the other soaps, the vast majority of Days' increase came in the 18-49 age group, which as we all know from KC, is really what they care about.|
|Southofsoap||Jun 3 2013, 11:54 AM Post #18|
I thought you were going to say that you hated the show extra, so the ratings should have skyrocketed!
|happy||Jun 3 2013, 10:36 PM Post #19|
Yeah. GH is caca now. Makes sense that they are in last place.
RC has strengths and weaknesses. Strengths are humor and writing for the vets. He's a fan boy at heart.
Weaknesses are when he tries to create new characters. And his tendency toward camp. And he doesn't know how to write a love story.
But it sounds like there aren't any current soap writers who know how to write love stories anymore.
I wonder how Frank would be with another head writer?
|lysie||Jun 3 2013, 10:39 PM Post #20|
Ha! I did hate what I saw of that week, lol.
