Just rewatched the scene where Nicole comes in to see Eric and Marlena leaves. LMAO. I really can't get enough of it! It has to be Deidre and Ari doing this on their own when they do blocking for the scenes. Because Nicole looks at Marlena like "Really bitch?" after Marlena says "Nicole..." These two are perfect.

LOVE IT! There should always be tension there because Nicole was a selfish bitch who broke her son's heart. Twice, wasn't it? Eric wasn't perfect either, but he did have his heart broken by her. Would Marlena be able to accept Nicole if Eric chose to be with her? Sure, but there should always be a little tension between them. And those two are fully capable of making it awesome.

IMO, Samantha loves John. I believe it gose way back when the real Roman can back. Samantha and Eric thought that John was their father, they loved this man. Their mother was "suppose" to be dead, but they had their father. Samantha seen her dad go through all kinds of relationship, but it was nothing like he had with her mom, the closest was Isabella, the kids took to her, anyway, to make a long story short, when John was found not to be the father, and the real Roman was back (WN) I believe Samantha just wanted some stability in her life, her real mom and dad were back and she wanted them together. John wants to help with Samantha, because even though he's not her biological dad, he still loves her like she's one of his own.
Didn't Sami name Johnny after John? Or did I just think that for some unknown reason? Sometimes I get confused :embarrassed:
You're so cute!! Yes, I think she did! :eyeroll:

Oh, I totally love it. I just love how I'm confident that the actors are doing some of this on their own when they go through blocking the scenes. The subtle touches are just amazing. Its such a tease and making me want more and more of those two together.

Woow Roman acknowledged he has a conflict of interest! This is the smartest thing said by someone at Salem PD in a long time. Roman might even be right when he says he can handle it. Afterall it's the PD we are talking about.

On the other hand, where is Marlena's secretary? Eric is going to call the patients. No way.

I am ok with Brady and Nicole. Always thought they were friends with benefits. Nothing else.

ED I like you more and more every day!

OT: does Marlena still work at the Salem University? If I remember correctly she accepted a job as the head of the psychiatry department after her return from Switzerland.

I'm still not over Arianne saying that her dream is for Marlena to become sort of a mom to Nicole. I'd love that. Not in like an "OMG, I totally love you, everything is forgotten" like with Sami (oh brother, don't even get me started), but in like an "Honey, you want me to accept you as my daughter in law? Be someone I can accept him with." way. Not that she wants her to not be true to herself, but more in that Marlena would feel that if Nicole really loved Eric, then with love comes trust, and that she needs to learn how to trust in that love so that she wouldn't need to do shady things anymore. Marlena ain't stupid, she knows the crap that Nicole's done, but she also knows her history and knows that her foundation was shaky. IMO, it'd be in character for Marlena to be sort of a guiding parental figure to Nicole, because she believes that people are capable of change, if they really want it, and especially with Nicole's history. She'd understand that while it's not an excuse for the things she's done, having that lack of stability and not being able to trust anyone, would be hard to get over.

That's the only reason, in my opinion, Marlena doesn't believe Kristen can change, because she's shown that she doesn't truly that enough.

IMO Nicole should always be grey, and never all goody two shoes, but Nicole's also never done anything just for the hell of it. It all goes back to as a little kid, she didn't have a good, stable home. She couldn't trust that she wouldn't end up in a room crying at the end of the day. And that is where Sami and Nicole differ for me. Sami had a very stable foundation compared to Nicole. Yes, she lost her father, then sort of got him back, then lost her mother. But she still had a stable home. She had an incredible mother when she was little, who worked and then made sure she was safe and warm, who never let anyone do any harm to her. Then she had an awesome dad who raised her the best he could, with help from stable grandparents, aunts and uncles. She was loved and she knew that. Nicole never really knew that.

Add to that the fact that Nicole can't walk down the street to buy a cup of coffee without wondering if half the guys she's passing already have or are going to go home and masterbate to the child porn her father forced her into. That is a nightmare that victems of childhood sex abuse that was recorded and sold for money like Nicole must live with every waking moment.

I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure Sami and Eric were with their grandparents in Colorado for much of the RoJohn era. Isabella died in late 1992. Sami (as portrayed by AS) came back in 1993. And by that time Marlena and Roman were also in Salem, right?

Maybe there was another Sami before that (as there was a short period where someone else played Carrie). But I don't recall any interaction between Sami and RoJohn's relationships (e.g., Diana, Isabella, and the others in between), because only Carrie lived with RoJohn at that time. (Of course, maybe there were history rewrites starting in 1993 that I missed. I didn't follow their story that closely after JER took over.)

In any case, I saw RoJohn bonding with Carrie, but don't recall much of any bonding between RoJohn and Sami -- only John and Sami (if that makes sense). :)

Although they weren't on much, Eric and Sami did live with John (then Roman) throughout Marlena's time away from Salem (1987-1991).

Sami made 39 appearances from 1987-mid 1991, while John was raising her without Marlena:

1987 (4):
1/8, 3/10, 5/4, 12/24

1988 (8):
3/3, 8/26, 8/29, 9/9, 9/12, 10/27, 12/20, 12/23

1989 (9):
1/3, 1/18, 1/19, 1/31, 3/7, 3/24, 11/22, 12/22, 12/25

1990 (9):
6/5, 8/10, 8/13, 8/21, 9/11, 11/21, 12/10, 12/11, 12/24

1991 (9):
2/19, 3/1, 4/1, 4/8, 4/15, 6/11, 7/8, 7/25, 7/31

Yeah, this is completely wrong. Sami didn't go off screen until Roman and Marlena were both in Salem and even then it was only a few months. From 86-91 she was onscreen being raised by John. Sami had interactions with Diana (most notably when RoJohn proposed) and a good bit with Isabella. There really hasn't been a history rewrite with that but there are some odd timing issues because of the SORASing.
