I haven't watched AMC since they switched the viewing schedule... this Colby is HELLA annoying!
They gave her some really deep material in the latest episodes though, which I think the character needed desperately. I like her a lot!

As much as I HATE to admit when I am wrong...I will. Partly anyway. While I don't like NuNOTColby - probably because I'm comparing her to when she was portrayed by Amber Childers (I wish they could have brought her back!!) - I will admit that the scenes with Cassandra when they were discussing what Cass wanted to do, were pretty damn good. I didn't & still don't like her with David - that's just creepy as hell - but if they give her more good writing with some depth & emotion to the character, I'll admit I was wrong all the way with it. I just don't like the princess/slut attitude she's been displaying since she returned to PV. Still, I'll keep myself on the fence for now about her.

I liked the scene between Cass and Colby. Colby (BN) needed to show another layer to her character. I think the spoiled, manipulative heiress persona is just that. It is a front. After Colby heard about Cass, she dropped the act. Later, when Colby hugged David, she said, "This should not have happened to another woman." I think something bad happened when Colby left PV.

I love Heather/AJ more than Miranda/AJ.

I liked the Dixie/BCT moment. Wished we saw Dixie finding out Billy saved AJ.

I love Joe Martin. Such a strong patriarch and sounding board for various characters. :)

Still don't care about Celia/Petey. Petey is fine away from Celia, though.

I think Celia witnessed her parents' murder.

I like the Angie/David friendship. I hope it remains just platonic.

Oooh - I'll have to go back and re-watch the Colby/David scene, I didn't catch what she said. You might be on to something too - we don't know where she was & what she was doing for the past five years, only that she came back to PV needing 20 large in a hurry. Thanks for the heads up!

The gala episodes were great!

Heather's dancing!

Loving Dr. Anders and Dixie. :wub2: Look at Dixie all flustered.

David so messed with JR's presentation. Loved the smirk on his face when JR lost it.

RB did a good job with those scenes. JR's 'roid rage has taken over.

Adam!!!!

Jesse's outburst.. :drunk: David won this round.
Opal recognizing Leticia... yay. This plan of JR's was lame and not thought out properly. However, it did lead to...

David seeing Oliver. It should not have been this way, though. :( Looking forward to David/Oliver scenes next week. :)

I don't understand Cara. She acts like David is a monster and should be kept from his son, yet treats JR like he is a good guy. How can she defend JR and then treat David with such disdain? Neither one are saints. David has a right to know he has a son. I can't wait until David reams her out for her deception.

Oliver is a cutie! His scenes with Angie(DM) were adorable. It was so funny how rehearsed he sounded when asked who he was!
"... I live here now. My grandma's the new cook." Cara and Leticia were probably drilling that in the boy. :D

Loved Joe coming to Angie's rescue with the reporter.

Loved the scenes between Uncle Zach and Miranda.

As much as I don't want Tad & Dixie to end...I'm hoping they do so she can move on with Dr. Anders - the more I see this character, the more I like him.

Everything with David & Cara is just the stuff soaps should be made of. I don't like how she's suddenly so icy to him...but the fact that she still fantasizes about him is just ridonculously hot! I want them to snipe at each other, fight, argue, holler, hoot, scream, throw shit and get it all out in the open, then actually communicate and work things out.

Adam taking JR to the "woodshed"... :hail: Get him, Adam!! :whip:

I loved seeing Adam and Brooke. Hot dang! That short little scene they had, those two have great chemistry. I don't want them to break up and Brooke to hook up with Dimitri, but unless TPTB can convince DC to come out of retirement...that's where this is heading :(

I can see them flirting & being friends with Dimitri hoping for more...but I would love to see Brooke tell him no and give him an ultimatim - no hanky-panky or he's GONE. Why not have Brooke in charge of Chandler with Adam behind the scenes? I'd love to see her as the matriarch of the company/family and throw Adams name out only when she needs to get JR to get in line. Brooke is a great character & Julia Barr has the chops to pull it off.

The David and Oliver scenes were so adorable!!

Ryan Bittle and Eric Nelson delivered on those confrontation scenes. :applause:

These episodes really made Cara look like a bad mother. Keeping away from her son after he had a seizure because she didn't want to get caught by David does not make her look like mother of the year. :shame:

Loved her confronting JR about stealing her prescription pad. Now that JR laid down that threat, maybe she'll start to see the error in judgement she made concerning David and JR.

I wonder if David already has suspicions about Oliver. His questioning Cara on why she was there kinda leads me to think he might have noticed a resemblance to Oliver.

Poor Colby.

JR is back to his old ways. I gotta be honest and say, "It's about time!" I love the Chandlers.

Liked Heather and Celia's little chat. I think Dimitri is Celia's guardian.

I'm still shipping Dixie/Dr. Anders. :wub2:

Loved the montage at the end of this week's first episode.

From the 8/26/13 episodes:

I'm really liking the slow-dance that JR/Cara & David are doing about Oliver. It's just a matter of time before shithead JR lourdes it over David about having a "secret" and demanding something from him, or JR blackmailing Cara with it. Poor David...I can't wait till he finds out. Then it'll be Poor Cara - you really should have told him the truth! But then that wouldn't be much soapy fun.

LOVED the Myrtle flashback today - I really wish they could have found a way to make Zach her long-lost grandson, those two were just beyond fabulous!

I'm beginning to wonder whether I should remain bored silly by Celia - there's just not much there, but with Opal getting weird vibes whenever she's near her, it might be something worth watching. I like Opal & Colby teaming up though - it was fun & will be until Pete finds out about it, then he's gonna be PISSED at his mom! And sorry, but you can smell a skunk from quite a distance, even if they aren't spraying anything...there's no way Pete & Celia wouldn't have noticed that thing.

Dixie & Dr. Anders...if they pair them up - which is I believe where they're headed - it means they have to kill off Tad & actually find the actual body & actually prove that he's actually dead. I wish we knew more about whether MEK will return or not - I'd love to see him again, but if he can't return, Dixie & Dr. Anders could be MAJOR good stuff. The more I see him, the more I like him.

Jesse. Just. Don't. You KNOW Angie is gonna find out and you KNOW she's gonna be pissed off. Just. Don't.

Heather, please, stop talking and walk away. To where I neither know nor care...just do it now.

Zach and Miranda are beyond cute, but the more I see of him with Lea, the more I want him single for a while. They need to resolve him & Kendall first...and if they get rid of Kendall, they need a very sappy/soapy deathbed goodbye between them for us Zendall fans who've admired the chemistry since day 1!!

And lastly...LMAO at JR challenging David. He still hasn't figured it out & probably never will - and what fun would it be if he did!! Get him, David!!

I'm so with you about the Oliver storyline. It's a good one and they're setting it up very well so far. You know JR will blow the secret. He's not reliable in any way, shape or form. I know Vincent Irizarry will do the reveal moment so well and I'm looking forward to it like a crazy person.

The Myrtle flashback was an unexpected treat. She's always great to see, especially now when AMC seems overrun by characters with no history or purpose (hi, Lea!) and new characters who are frontburner who are harder for me to like (hi, Celia!).

I'm an optimist when it comes to Kendall returning, so I'm going to keep hoping that all these mentions of her mean something. Ginger Smith once said that if AMC keeps mentioning a character's name, it's because he or she is going to show up soon. We heard about Kendall a few times in today's two episodes. I don't think Zach is going to be single for long, once he gets rid of Barnacle Bill (Lea). If Kendall does show up and Lea is still around, there'd be no contest. Zendall for the win!

Heather's voice annoys me. Her cluelessness about how Miranda feels annoys me. I'm a fan of making the audience wait for the guy and the girl to admit how they feel about each other, but right now, everyone involved is a little too dumb for my taste.

I'm more interested in Dixie and Anders than I thought I'd be, but nothing can take the place of Tad and Dixie. I hope TPTB know that.

Colby and Opal should have been funnier. It was kinda dumb what they did. I expected more.

I've only made it up to episode 14 basically because I haven't had much interest in it. It is getting better, though. Episode by episode. This Cassandra forced-to-be-a-stripper / forced-to-be-a porn star is laughable at best. I don't even know who this woman is or why I should feel sorry for her.

Umm. Uh. That was the end? I thought OLTL's finale was lame. AMC just took the title and ran with it.

I was surprised to hear the voice, but since we didn't see the face, I wonder if there will be an off-screen death...oh man...that would SUCK but not surprise me with the other relationship they've been building.

Jesse being fired & Angie encouraging him to become a detective - predictable. Jesse going behind her back to go after Yuri..meh.

JR being an asshat...I was hoping he wasn't going to, but alas, it is JR after all. I do like how they are building up toward a baby-daddy reveal with Cara & David - who will spill the beans & what will happen once the dust settles? That could be good stuff because I LOVE me some Cara & David and if it all leads up to another JR/David showdown?

Colby...meh. The actress has had a few good scenes, but I'm still not all that fond of her in the role.

Cassandra...meh. At least she finally stopped frickin crying. It would be more realistic to see her in a support-group setting at the Miranda Center for her ordeal...but I guess they decided to put CeliaLater in that part because you know, she's been having nightmares... :drunk: I'm sorry...I cannot seem to find an airborne fornication to give about this character.

Miranda/AJ/Screech2.0 - meh, meh, make-it-stop. They're cute as friends - but if they're going to build them up to supercouple status, it's going to take years because I simply don't know the SORAS'd versions of these two well enough to care much. Screech2.0 needs to shut up and leave...she's weird and not in a good soapy way.

All in all, I give the relaunch first season a B-, and 1/2 of that is due to Brooke, Zach, Dr. Joe, Billy-Clyde, Opal a few pop-up Adams. If they'd have brought back Stuart - if only for one brilliant scene - the grade would have been a B+.

I'm looking forward to next season, but with the news that OLTL is on indefinite hiatus, the outlook for AMC's future just took a bit of a step back.

ETA: I didn't forget Lea. And believe me, I tried.
