I think it's just the stories....not any particular pairing here that is having success. Overall, Ejami are together but unlike in previous years they don't seem to be the focus of the A story....Kristen seems to be the real driver of the A story here....and the insertion of JJ into Dannifer has taken the focus entirely away from Dannifer, which is always welcome. In other words, stuff is happening on the show and I think that is the most important part....and what measures their success. If the show was as boring as when MarDar was writing it and as disgusting as when Higgs was writing it, then we wouldn't even be talking about any ratings increases.....that said...I truly don't know how Days could have gotten ANY worse from MarDar's numbers....they went below Higley's worse numbers.....when you hit the bottom you really can't go anywhere else but up.....

Ratings can always go lower but whoever is running the Days ship right now
will hopefully learn from all the mistakes MarDar & Higley made.

Glad to see Days is getting good numbers especially going
ino the summer. The last few summers have sucked so maybe
there is hope after all.

I personally have liked most of the stories
on Days since January except for Fetch lol but with the introduction
of JJ I find them tolerable. I love Kristen and her schemes but then
I loved her back in the 90's too!
Maybe the teen / college scene is starting to draw in some of the
younger viewers like they used to during school vacation.

Quite possibly. I know the casting of JJ has turned into a major hit. The majority of the audience absolutely love him.

I'm glad to see Days get good numbers as it has been enjoyable TV lately. Also glad to see Days beating GH as GH has hit a really rough, boring patch IMO.

I think DAYS numbers are exceptional. Especially, considering the fact that there was nothing really noteworthy happening that week.

A priest got raped and Ejami´s magic dinner :P , maybe shocking storylines really does bring in new Viewers. On other hand the friday Before when the raped started only got 1.7 so who knows.
Maybe it was the Roman Marlena scenes?
it was definitely Roman.
