||Good to see DOOL get back the viewers they lost the week before and go back on the + with their demos|

||Good job, DAYS!|

||Good job for Days. Now, I just need to find my enthusiasm for the show, well all the Soaps, really. I record, but I find myself not being excited by any of them. I really miss that kind of viewer anticipation.|

||Awesome job, DAYS.|

||Ugh at those dailies, though. They were doing good at hanging out in the 2s for a while.|

||Not bad for summer ratings. Is this week or the following week the comparison to the pre-Olympics Daysaster episodes?|

This week. Pretty nice numbers.

||This was the week of the St. Luke school opening/Sami getting arrested/Adrienne tape reveal. A great week of episodes and performances in my opinion. Give Judi Evans and Wally Kurth a contract now! Bring Back Eileen, she brings the ratings as well.|

||The drop between Wednesday and Thursday cracks me up....just because I thought Wednesday was awful and subsequently tuned out on Thursday and Friday...and y'all know its rare that my viewing match the ratings, lol.|

I must be old. But its been a long time since I have thought any of these ratings were worthy of a "Good job." I bunch of 1.9s?! With a 1.8 to boot. How is that a good job? Hell, I remember one week I came in here and it was 1.8s and people were saying good job. I was like WTH?
What happened to anything under a 2.0 is something to frown about? Did I miss something?

||I think you can say good job since they seems to care more about the demos than the dailies, but of course it would be good if they could keep it at 2.0 too.|
|lysie||Aug 3 2013, 11:03 AM Post #15|
At some point the expectation will have to change. Just like it used to be that anything below 2.3 was bad. But after pulling in a lot of 2.0s for a while, I agree that it doesn't really seem to have changed yet. The demos are more important but the dailies are often a bit more indicative of trends. So while the demos may be up, you can see where people are tuning out and if it continues, that will eventually be reflected in the demos, too.
Meanwhile, it's also worth noting that all soaps are up over last year, but Days had the least increase.

||The only way all soaps are going to increase their ratings if they stop using wash/rinse/repeat storylines, period.|
