Remember that time JS said about Ejami that they loved one another, but not neccessarily in a romantic way? I think they need to stick with that because everytime Sami gushes, "EJ..." like he's the sweetest, tenderest man who ever lived is just so laughable......the man laughed with his father about her being raped for crying out loud.
yeah, as much as that first rape horrified me, EJ laughing manically while Sami was being subjected to Fafe was so much worse.
To me its his dismissive attitude towards her like she is a prize he has won but he doesn't seem to have any real respect for her or appreciation of her talents (except one). He's like a cat playing with a clueless bird.

They had more strength back in 2007. There should be ways they can write them so that they go through a massive upheaval and their love finally triumphs over their history. This just isn't it. It was too rushed. And that lingering Rafe love mix up didn't help.
They could try that but there is nothing any writer could do to make me care about them in any way.

I can't with EJ's letter. "I go downstairs and stare at our portrait when I miss you."

That portrait was ridiculous enough without imagining EJ stroking Sami's face in it everytime he thinks about her in jail.
Oh great I feel the rerun of Santo and Colleen coming on.
Oh dear lord, don't even put that out there! :drunk:

Jen Lilley looks a lot like Alexis Thorpe. Does anyone else thank so?
No, but I think KA looks a lot like that ice skater that got hit by Tanya Harding. Always have! (Only way prettier). Funny, cuz KA skates or skatED too! Kerrigan was her last name. Nancy.
Looks wise, Jen Lilley reminds me of a young Susan Seaforth Hayes.
I've thought the same thing especially when Jen/Theresa wears her hair the way Susan/Julie did in this clip.

Is that what he said? I didn't watch the show, but I wish I had heard that cheesy dialogue. LMAO!!!!
Not quite, I was paraphrasing. His exact words were, "I'm finding it hard to sleep without you next to me. When that happens I usually end up coming downstairs and looking at you in that portrait of us."

Today's ep was great. I'll talk about it later but I only have one thing on my mind at the moment...

EJ wrote Sami a love letter, yall. A freakin LOVE. LETTER! Plus, we saw him in a robe w/ tousled hair. I'm swooning so hard right now. :cloud9:

Be still my heart Ejami. I am still fangirling about the love letter. How incredibly romantic. Ej has a way of pulling my heartstrings.

Samantha, please come home soon so Eej can sleep.
Or at least write him back! I would DIE of happiness if we got that.
I think that is impossible... Isn't Sami illiterate? I don't think she finished high school. She was too busy stalking and raping Austin, then running away after getting pregnant.

It isn't fucking enough they have a rapist and victim gropeing each other through the bars so she can reward his crimes, constant visits CONSTANTLY... they ram a stupid letter into their storyline too, instead of making time for Justin and Adrienne to have couple scenes where they work on their marriage- ON THEIR MARRIAGE NOT TALKING ABOUT DANNIFER, NOT TALKING ABOUT THE WORTHLESS CHILD- talking about and to each other!

Why the hell didn't we see Justin struggling over a letter to his wife, about all they've been through in their life together and how much he still loves her even though he's angry right now? Why didn't we get a scene of Adrienne reading the letter from Justin while her eyes filled with tears?! That would have been a beautiful scene of sadness and love.

Not to mention sending John away without a word to Marlena. An end to an epic love story with absolutely nothing for fans. :flipoff:

I couldn't help but compare Elvis' letter to Sami in jail to John's jailhouse letter to Marlena and how much more powerful and significant and worthy it was to that slop Elvis wrote.
considering all the screen time EJami have shared in the "Sami's cell" set, i'm surprised there was something EJ had to write on paper that he hadn't already told her 100 times before.
had we not gotten all those jail scenes, maybe the letter would've been more effective and touching. it just seems like EJami filler and a crumb for the fans.

EJ doesn't know the meaning of the word love and I don't believe hes in love with the person he raped, manhandled and used domestic violence on and tried to kill along with her family and her kids before they were born,he looks riddiculous and this so called professing his love and sacrafice things EJ knows nothing about looks riddiculous on him as well he knows nothing of these words with the person he totured for 7 years and he looks really dumb doing this and his actions aren't even believeable.

The viewers haven't forgotten what EJ did to Sami and her whole family over the last seven tears. Again this is an epic fail it isn't remotely believeable that EJ is in love with the person he raped and tortured and made her life hell for the last 7years and neither is Sami being in love with the person that raped her and laughed at her pain with the fake rafe and more and didn't care that he did and that she shot in the head.
Well, I'd say this, I buy their passionate sex scenes as well as their love. I could also say that the Days writers who all have been different when it comes to writing for EJ and Sami - they have created one of Daytimes most interesting relationships. I mean, despite their shitty past these two can not quit each other and attract each other like magnets. And comparing a complicated pair like EJami with Jarlena is both foolish and unsuccessful in my opinion. These are two completely different relationships. Also, I like how viewers are not interested in the boring couples like Dannifer and company. My point is, that, due to EJ and Sami being so unpredictable and passionate, nothing is taken for granted in their relationship. It can turn either way - and we've seen that on the show. They've waged war on each other but right now only love reigns. In a soap a lot of stuff can happen to one couple. A lot hinged on how the actors tackle this in their scenes. So thanks to JS and Ali's chemistry, I as a viewer buys every scene between them. This is my opinion, but I just wanted people to know that there are viewers who happily buy the stuff they deliver. And I don't think I'm the only one, considering their popularity.

No, you are certainly not the only one. I would venture a guess that the majority of the audience is buying and enjoying the heck of it. TPTB knows they cannot please everyone.

The writers continue to fail to muster some semblance of real love between EJ and Sami. It's like as long as they keep saying they love one another over and over, people might actually believe it. I don't, jmo. It takes more than words and EJ (and Sami's actions) for years have soured everything about them as a couple. Their (dirt) poor man's version of whatever it is I'm supposed to be seeing is not inspiring me at all. When I prefer to watch crazy obssessive Nick and Gabi aver these two, something is clearly wrong.
For me, it's because I have zero interest in Sami's love life. Period. She's always been this needy girl who has never grown up (I don't care how many children she spawns) and who is always desperate to have a man in her life. And I frankly don't care if she has one or not. I'm not interested in watching her. She has no elegance or charisma or sex appeal. It's like watching my next door neighbor if they suddenly got a job on TV.

While I respect your opinion, considering how popular Sami/AS is, I would say that most viewers disagree.

IA  and she can even do better than that LOL. Sami may not have a high school diploma, but she is very bright. She is smart enough to successfully run a multimillion dollar company.

Besides Sami is in good company, some of the most successful people in this country are high school dropouts such as David Karp, Richard Branson and Mike Hudack just to name a few. Not having a high school diplomat does not make one illiterate.

Does Jen know Nick was raped in prison? If so that was a heavy thing to throw at JJ.
Very few people in Salem know about that. I don't think Jen knows.
Maggie knows. I'd be shocked if half the town didn't know already since she can't keep her mouth shut to save her life.
True this! 🔊

Having finally watched today's show I just have to say Casey Moss is fantastic. JJ's pain was written all over his face and more Jen yelled the worse it got. He looked like a volcano of emotions ready to boil over and Dr. Douche appearing with Abby did the trick. And for the record I do believe JJ was genuinely sorry for what happened, however, those feelings evaporated when Daniel showed his ugly mug where it didn't belong. As usual. :flipoff:
Casey did a fabulous job today. Like you, I saw the pain on his face and in his eyes throughout the scene. Daniel showing up when he did was the worst timing possible, and of course, Jen runs straight to him. It just cemented in JJ's mind that she loves Daniel more.
Jennifer is already the biggest bitch on the planet, she must be challenging Brady for "biggest moron on the planet".I could not believe my eyes when she ran into Daniel's arms while JJ was cuffed with his hands behind him and his eyes red with tears about to fall. When she looked at JJ while in Daniel's arms,I wanted to punch her in the face and I am not a huge fan of JJ.I also thought it was callous of her to make a remark to JJ saying he should talk to Nick about being in prison which I took to be a veiled reference to Nick being sexually assaulted in prison.

Well, that's purely speculation, of course. You can't give anybody proof of how popular she is or isn't.

I would much rather take bitches like old-Nicole and Kristen rather than bitch princesses like Jennifer. I watched this week's shows online today, and I could have reached into my IPad and smacked her into the next millennium.

The tone of her voice suggested she knew he was raped. What else could she be referring to when making that remark in such a harsh tone of voice.I don't think she was just referring to prison generally being a bad place,I think she was actually trying to scare him which was cruel and stupid given his age.

Richard Branson is British, but that's beside the point ;)

I'm sure all of those men did a lot if work to get where they are. I've never seen Sami do much of anything other than obsess over the different men she's either trying to get or keep. Although I will give her credit for her days as a candy striper. :D

What else could she be referring to? Simply being in jail/prison. That alone is an unpleasant experience. That's why there are shows like Scared Straight, where bad kids experience what it's like in jail for a day or two, in an effort to get them back on the right track. I think JJ could use a night or two in jail. He needs to see where his actions could lead him.

JJ is stupid. He would know prison is not a nice place for anyone just from general knowledge.Hope and Lucas have both been in prison, she could have said ask Hope or Lucas but she specifically said Nick which is why I believe she was referring to prison rape.I just don't think a mother should say this to her son just before he is escorted to a jail cell.

I know JJ needs to come to a realization of where his behavior could land him for a significant period of time,I just don't think the reference is what a scared teen needs just before he is carted off to a cell,I think she could have waited to make that particular point.

There is way too much talk about the viewers in this thread. I don't have time to go through the whole thing, but I"ll tell you this...if it's still going on the next time I'm available to check in, I'm just banning. Read the rules. Talk about the show, it's characters, and it's actors and leave out the discussion about "the viewers", "everybody", "the fans", "the majority", or anything like that. That is baiting, and it is not welcome here. This is not a new rule, and I know you all know it. Consider this your last warning.
