I thought this new character Liam is suppose to get involved with Hope? Isn't he the one with a child? I could totally see the writers bringing Lucas into the story and giving Rafe some competition to light a fire under him. At least I hope that's the reason. I wouldn't mind this Kate nonsense being pushed into a back corner. It does fit that this is the reason why Bryan is suddenly working more but not in scenes with Will.

I do think Rafe and Jordan a gorgeous couple and the chemistry is there so I'd like to see this relationship go further. I'm not sure that I'd want the story to flip flop at this point. The slow build up has been engaging so far.
Jordan is ugly. I guess in soap world that when she takes off her glasses she will suddenly be beautiful. Hope and Justin would make a good couple, Adrienne is a pain in the ass. I wonder why all the young people are leaving one by one, and we are left with Teresa . Brilliance. Oh and hiw could I forget The riveting Gabi and Nick.
The actor playing J.J. has been a revelation so I hope he sticks around for awhile. He's all the more impressive because this is his first big role. The number of younger actors leaving the show might seem worrying, but none of them are what I'd consider riveting performers, so I don't think I'm going to be feeling this loss too much. J.J. and Theresa showed up at exactly the right time, and I'm very curious to see what the new Will is like. Freddie's still around, Kate Mansi's still around even though her character needs a major overhaul, and both of them can actually act...so it's fine IMO. I know I've mentioned this more than once, but I wish they'd take the opportunity of this exodus of mostly dull characters to bring back Belle, Shawn, even Chelsea...

Kate gets stunning news about the mysterious physical therapist.
Lucas overhears Kate plotting against Jordan.
Tormented Eric asks his superiors to be relocated.
Kristen is determined to make sure nothing will ruin her wedding to Brady – and arms herself with a gun just in case.
Victor gives Marlena the means to destroy Kristen – but leaves out a crucial piece of information.
Cameron informs Abigail he’s leaving town.
I'm pleasantly surprised at the Lucas spoiler....somehow I don't think his increase in airtime is going to be all about Allie and I'm glad that hopefully he won't be revolving around the circle of suck that is Sami Brady. I'd rather have more Lucas/Kate than Lucas/Sami fighting over Allie....

Eric....leave it alone...you aren't going anywhere and you know it.

You know someone on another site was speculating that it would really tear Eric up if somehow Nicole is injured as a result of the fallout that happens after the truth about Kristen raping Eric comes out....somehow I think with Kristen arming herself with a gun, and Nicole likely being around it would be sooo soapy for her to target Nicole, Nicole to get hurt and Eric to go bananas.

So it looks like Cameron won't die, he'll just leave town too...

I wonder if Victor doesn't tell Marlena that it's Eric in the video, and Marlena thinks this is the proof that Kristen cheated on Brady with a guy....

I actually agree with you on all of this, minus the "circle of suck" part. ;) . I would love it if Kate uses Lucas to distract Jordan and he she falls for Jordan him hard. That's totally something Kate would do. Plus, I'd rather see Lucas have a new love interest than Rafe. I actually care about Lucas.
Lol...I played around with your statement a bit...I'd love it for her to fall for him hard....aside from that and the circle..we agree...
I like your change to my post. ^_^

There's gonna be a new character named Liam? With a kid?

Where has this been posted?
A few months ago there was a casting call for a character in his mid-forties or fifties with a young son who he was over protective of......we're just speculating this is the character Liam.

I bet EJ finds our Kristen secret and keeps it secret, man that would be a bad secret to keep.

it's going to be a shotgun wedding or maybe just a 45 :D

Mark my words, they are NOT going to be able to hang onto Casey Moss once his contract is up. I predict the show will write heavily for him during his contract, he'll win awards and catch the eye of prime time television and/or film.

Personally I think it would be stupid to kill off a former Major Character and build a murder story around it. In that case you might as well choose any former major character, and how would you show any scene leading up to the killing, what? a phone call, he's been murdered and who would want Bo dead? he's not even in Salem. What his daughter gets enough of her father being gone and wipes him out, then Victor, Theo, Caroline can keep it secret? To me, it would be just dumb!

True - the way the show runs, it restricts them severely from doing outside projects.

ETA: I mean, who are we losing in a 6 month span - Chad, Cameron, Will and (rumored) Nick and Gabi. They need to upgrade T, Rory and Bev.

I would hate it if they did away with the character or the actor, I think JJ is a fun scratch based character and could be taken lots of places. I could see instead of Daniel, Lucas mentoring the guy, I mean JJ is his nephew. Maybe a young love story-- Maybe helps to straighten Theresa up. Maybe MA, Jack, comes back as a ghost and guides his son. Maybe he goes on a quest and discovers how Jack was haunted in his thoughts by Duke and Harper. I just think this character is worth building further.

I don't get why Dan or JJ don't just tell Jen the truth in the first place. It's one thing to not tell Hope the truth because she's a cop & would have no choice but to arrest JJ for breaking the terms of his bail agreement.

That could still happen. He most likely signed a 4 year contract. Plenty of time for lots of stories. And I think the writers WILL write a LOT for him. I'm sure they've seen his enormous potential.

I'm just saying, by the time his contract is up, other people will also see it and he'll be getting other offers.

maybe so on that, he plays a hard ass tender heart, R-E-A-L well, kind of reminds me of a very young Sami Brady. Breaks into Daniel just to be a jerk kid, and next thing you know his heart is breaking about his father's past. Going to jail, acting tough as nails. I like the actor alot, so I could see something bigger plucking him up.

I could see JJ confessing to his mother so she won't hold it agains Daniel, to me the character is very well written.

Sorry still got to call it as DUMB, sorry, it would be more idiotic to show it with doubles. In that case lets just kill off Steve, that way it would give Kayla an opening to see another guy. I mean, IMO, that would be the only foolish reason to kill off a former major character, that I don't even consider a major character, he's not on the show and barelly mentioned how do you consider him a major character. I mean is Lucas a Major characer right now? (he was)? should he be... Yes, he's better than 3/4 of the wahoos on this show right now, but right now he's shown as more of a minor charater, sadly, Thank goodness there changing that. Barf, if they make it just a Custody thing.... But personally, I do not think a character not on the show, currently, could reasonable be called a major character, not IMO, opinions are personal but I'm just saying.

You are right that there is a lot of time to build JJ. The one thing that makes Casey Moss so different from many of the other young actors is that it hasn't taken him two to three years of his contract to become decent. Camila Banus and Casey Diedrich only became watchable with about a year left on their contracts. Until then, they were painful wastes of space.

That at least has been one area where Days seems to have improved. CM and Jen Lilley won't waste space for the first years of their contracts and then leave just when they finally reach the point where they can carry a story. If the show were smart, it would keep them, Kate Mansi (though her acting has seemed to regress a bit lately), Freddie Smith, and Blake Berris as a nucleus of the younger group. Add a younger male Brady to the mix (Andrew Donovan?) and/or one of Sonny's brothers, plus a couple of unrelated characters (Bev would be a good start), and you could build a compelling young cast.
