I really think Bristen may have surpassed Ejole as my least favorite couple ever. Or maybe it's just because they're current.
but...but...I thought you shipped Ejole.... :blulaugh:
IKR? Mind. Blown.

Nicole and Eric were by far the best part of today's show. Are they always this powerful?
YES THEY ARE!

Check this out from a few months back, one of the best scenes until recently:

Sorry for shouting but I flove them.... :wub2:

Um... KA and GG were 10 times as cute in their scene as CS and GG were in theirs.
Hmmmm....

(and no, this isn't me suddenly pimping Hope/Rafe <-- just wanted to make that clear)
He looks cute here.
i think that i will forever be amused by Kristian doing that.
Seriously though, Galen & Kristian stole the Katie interview from James & Deidre simply because of their obvious friendship chemistry. It's that real life friendship that comes through during their scenes. Maybe CS playing Jordan as standoff-ish is why the Jordan/Rafe aren't coming across as as cute as the Hope/Rafe scenes. I do think that once Jordan lets her guard down & she isn't always trying to force the professionalism there will be a spark between them.

Neither comes off particularly cute to me.

I've just read through this entire thread. Won't be able to watch until tonight or tomorrow. The best thing, as I see it so far, is that this thread is 12 PAGES LONG.

Wow, when's the last time that happened before 2:30 eastern?

A Culliton has written every single episode of this Salem day (which began last Tuesday). Last Monday's episode (the last NON Culliton episode) was written by Janet Iacobuzio (10/28). Jeanne Marie Ford wrote that previous Friday's episode (10/25). Melissa Salmons on Thursday (10/24). David Cherrill on Tuesday & Wednesday (10/22; 10/23).

I'm wondering if we're gearing up for a Salmons/Ford tag-team. I certainly hope it's not Iacubzio or Cherrill (even though it seems that when he hits one, he hits it big).
It seems like they give most of the really big reveals to MS. Hoping we see her on Friday and Monday.

JJ to Daniel: "I can see now that I was totally wrong about you."

Well most of us called it... I knew this was happening the minute we heard about the rape being revisited. It was a plot point to lead JJ to disown Jack, and praise Daniel as Salem's Messiah. Maybe to some, we were seen as ridiculous, but this show is way too predictable and I saw it coming a mile away.

I still think it's ridiculous because the rape part of that story has nothing to do with what's playing out now. It is annoying that he's changed his mind about Daniel, but it has nothing to do with anything that aired a month ago, IMO.

No kidding. JJ clearly still hated Daniel after he found out about Jack. His change is because Daniel is covering for JJ's ass about Theresa. None of that has anything to do with the reveal about Jack.

It does. They used the rape reveal as the climax that would lead JJ to have his meltdown, which would unravel a chain of events that would lead to this point, his new-found praise of Daniel. How is it unrelated? It's not like it's 2 different stories - they're intertwined, and Tomlin and co IMO clearly knew where this was going the minute they decided to pursue the rape thing.

Anyway........

Well, if it's any consolation, the price of getting JJ to like him is half the town turning on him and losing his glorious reputation.

I think it's only related if you want it to be. I mean, there's an automatic relation because both parts include JJ, but that was just a two week arc in the middle of a bigger story. No one ever claimed it was going to be more than that. The rape reveal wasn't a story. But no matter what airs now or what is said now, it's not going to change the fact that they did a relatively decent job with that reveal and that particular aspect of a bigger story that happens to be mostly crap.

Okay, clearly there's a miscommunication here. I'm not saying JJ loves Daniel because of the rape reveal. I'm saying Tomlin's motivation behind pursuing the rape thing was clearly to use it as a plot point that would unravel a chain of events (meaning JJ's breakdown, rebellion with Jennifer, being reckless until Theresa's OD) that would lead to JJ's appraisal of Daniel. There is a difference.

And people's problem with the rape revisit (for the most part) was not the actual revisit, but how it would be used... as a plot point that would lead JJ to praise Daniel. And it has. I have no problem with the writers wanting to revisit the rape thing, I have a problem with the reason behind wanting to pursue it, which I feared would be agenda based... and it is.

My post was directed at this particular statement: "No kidding. JJ clearly still hated Daniel after he found out about Jack." which implies that I am insinuating JJ's appraisal of Daniel is directly correlated to the rape reveal, which is not what I was saying at all. I was talking about TPTB's intention of pursuing the rape reveal as a plot point, which they would use to develop events that would lead to JJ's eventual acceptance of Daniel.

Anyway, I don't care. I don't agree with what you have to say, and you don't agree with what I have to say. Nothing's going to change that. I've said what I had to say.

The fact that they wrapped up the rape reveal in 2 weeks bugs me more than anything. I agree with NB about their motivation for the reveal, however, the bigger story is crap and it was way too rushed. And now it seems like JJ is over everything and it's like nothing happened. The emotional beats in this story are being ignored in order to make it about Daniel.
