Interesting/Spoilerish Tweets, Week of 11/11

Please post all interesting/spoilerish tweets in this thread. If a news article or new video is also tweeted (for example by SOD or NBC), it should probably go in its own thread, following our normal rules. This thread is for tweets, usually from someone on the list below, which give us information in some way about anything related to the show or upcoming storylines.

Please link each tweet and then set it off in italics, quotes or a quote box. To link a tweet, click "expand" and then click "details". That will give you the link to the tweet on its own page. If this is difficult (ie posting from a phone), please at least set off the tweet in quotation marks.

If anyone has names to add to this thread, please PM them to me rather than putting them in the thread. There are unfortunately a lot of fake accounts out there, and we want to verify each account is legit before putting it in this list.

I have entered the below list as a "Twitter List" under the DaytimeRoyalty twitter account. To access it, go to

Then click "Follow this list". It will then appear in your lists.

Thanks!

It is unlikely SOD will print any letter that bashes an actor/actress, producer or headwriter. Try to be reasonable and respectful with your criticism, but don't be afraid to express your point of view about the show and its storylines.

If the comment line inboxes are full, wait until they're emptied and call back later.

The PR team at Days wants us to let everyone know they check this board daily and they report our feedback to producers. They also check the comment line, so make sure to call it often and leave your feedback about the show!

I mean, he's not stating his beliefs. He's a kid who had an un-PC comment. Contrast that with MR who knew what she was doing.
Also unlike MR, he also apologized from a sincere place within about 12 hours and isn't digging the hole any deeper. I bet he'll be more careful.

Yikes. While part of me knows he probably didn't mean any harm by what he said, the other part of me feels like he should have known better, being a 28 year old male who is about to be looked to as a figure in the LGBT community (whether he likes it or not). It's kind of like when my friend says "I'm hanging out with my f_ _s (I won't even type that word) tonight, I'm such a hag." so nonchalantly, and doesn't understand why I give her a good punch and a lecture every time she says it. It's a term of endearment for you, but for others it's pretty offensive. We just have to remember that everyone has a different worldview, and that certain terms aren't the same thing universally.

I live in Nashville Tennessee. And the word "Tranny" is used as a term of endearment here. I used to hang out at The Connection, this was a very popular club in Nashville. The Connection is where Calpernia Addams performed. I saw her perform and she was Awesome. But anyway the word "Tranny" was really popular when I hung out at The Connection, and was used as a term of endearment at the club and at other places in Nashville, like the OUT LOUD bookstore. People all over Nashville use the word "Tranny" as a term of endearment, and no one I know is offended by it.
That person who you mentioned is an advocate for transgender rights, and those two places that were just listed are LGBTQA businesses. So of course there would be an "okay" for the language to be used by those in the community itself which is really pushing it since there's a lot of transphobia in the LGBTQA community still. However the general usage outside of the specific community should really be stopped or at least contained.

It's the same way with racial and/or stereotyping. If you're around a group of friends from another ethnicity than yours and they use language that is perceived as offensive to their ethnic group (by the use of those outside of that group); that doesn't mean that the language is no longer offensive and it doesn't make it "okay" for you to use it too just because your friends are using it.

"However the general usage outside of the specific community should really be stopped or at least contained."
Why? I didn't realize you were the voice of all LGBTQ people.
I have talked to my sister tonight, who is a Lesbian, and she told me that she wouldn't be offended by it,and neither would her "tranny" friends. You can refuse to believe it, but "Tranny is used as a term of endearment here, whether at a club, business or anywhere else.
