JJ: "I'm not 12 anymore." So if JJ was born in 2004 and is now 18 in 2013 when was he 12? #mathquestions

Interesting combination of EJ conversations today: EJ saying 'no' after Justin asks if he cares about any of the consequences of the Bernardi fall out plus the 'prayer circle' comment about Eric and then Sami thanking him 'for seeming to care about Will.'

EJ's patent insincerity about any interest in other people's lives is one of the most authentic things about him.
I REALLY like that the group of people that EJ cares about is so small - it's basically just the Dimeras, and Sami and the kids (on that note, I do think his concern about Will is genuine because he's Sami's son). But beyond that, he doesn't give a fuck. And that includes not really caring about Sami's other relatives. That works for me. Especially since they don't give a shit about him either.
EJ truly cares for no one but himself. I don't believe he cares for Will or Allie. He has used them both for his own benefit before and his interest in Will today seemed totally fake. I don't even believe he loves Sami either, she is just a possession that he wants to hold on to. He treats her like she is beneath him, throwing her past in her face all the time ,browbeats her and wags his finger at her like she's ten. Not only is he a liar but he's also a control freak. I don't care for Sami but even she deserves better.

I really miss Bo right now.
I need Kim to ask Hope about Bo or for Hope to ask Shane about Bo. You can't tell me that Shane & Kim travel to Salem & no one takes even one moment to mention Bo.
That would be truly absurd. I know the show misses some (I think) necessary story beats, but I can't see that happening.
Well Shane came to Salem last year and nobody asked him: (1) how was Kim; and (2) what was he doing with the ISA when he had resigned two years earlier as part of proving that he wanted to make family his priority.

Meanwhile, we've seen Harold THREE times in less than a week. When the fuck was the last time THAT happened?!

Jen's hair looks fab

Jennifer's hair is very nice, and Kim even walks into the room OTT. That's seriously all I have to say so far.

EJ's hair is perfection. The tuft has returned to the fold.
Elle

Ali's hair looks pretty-ish.
It seems like everyone went to a new salon or Days hired some real stylist.

It was so nice to have a break from whiny Theresa but all good things come to an end. Good lord, she was awful today. She obviously hasn't learned a thing because she's still blaming other people for her problems; first her mom and then Jennifer. I'm glad they told her to grow up but it's obvious that Theresa hasn't learned her lesson at all.

Really enjoyed Justin telling EJ what to do with his job offer. And Justin really had the Salem brain today because he knew what questions Gabi really wanted answers for without her saying anything and he refused to go there with her. Good for him. Although I do believe that Gabi has rights and I think she should solidify a custody agreement especially with Ari having a grandmother like Sami.

Sami and EJ - yawn. They just don't matter.

Loved the Brady family standing strong and together when facing Theresa.

Karen and Jen ... filler. Was that scene really necessary and if yes, why?

Enjoyed the Jen and JJ scenes.

I mean Hope is Jennifer's cousin and Hope is married to Bo - wouldn't JJ know Kim and Shane that way? That line just seemed so out of place.
It doesn't sound like Shane and Kim were regular visitors to Salem over the years.
but JJ didn't grow up in Salem, so even if they were, he wouldn't have ever really met them.
He must have at least for a bit. We saw the flashback of his birthday party at the Horton house.

I'm having visions of JJ & Chloe as a musical act at a newly reopened Doug's Place & Jennifer jumping to conclusions that Chloe is putting the make on her baby....

OMG!! Harold and Johnny in a light sabre duel. Cutest thing ever.
And Julian Barnes (Harold) played Shane's father in a flashback in the 1980s, so that was appropriate he was on today!!

Does anyone here watch Revenge? I think Harold was in last night's episode, also playing a butler.

Edit: Just checked imdb, and yep it was Julian Barnes in last night's episode of Revenge.

Julian Barnes has tied his MONTHLY record of 3 episodes, which he's done 3 times before....3/09, 11/09, 10/13. This is the first time he's ever been in 3 episodes in less than a week!!

I just watched the last episode of Revenge and thought that was Harold moonlighting.
He was doing actual butler stuff.

I think there's a difference between loving/caring about somebody and expressing that love/concern in a healthy fashion. EJ often fails on the latter, but that doesn't negate that he feels those emotions.
