Okay, so I haven't been a fan of Greg Vaughn's Eric. I've disliked him since they brought him on as Eric.

But man, these fallout scenes are making me fall in love with him.

The street clothes don't hurt either. I legitimately gasped when I saw him.

Side notes: More Nicole/Abe, please. Let's get this EJAbby thing rolling. Patsy looks like she gave birth to Jen. And Sonny, stfu. You don't act like any Kiriakis I've ever seen. Nice try, though.
See I need them to do something to give WilSon angst that has nothing to do with outside forces like Gabi, Nick, Sami and Kate. Making Sonny struggle with the darkside of being a Kiriakis more, while Will, the "better than his parents" son of Lucas and Sami, who eschews scheming and trickery will give them an internal angst that, I think, is more interesting. It gives the show the chance to develop Sonny and give better insight to who Will is (under TomSell) to some extent, too.

LOL @ EJ "agreeing" to keep is distance from Sami, yet invading her personal space and getting all bothered. LOL.

And Gabi's behaved a lot better in that situation with Sonny than I would have. I'd a kicked his short ass and then invited him to bring it on. Kiriakis? I would have said Bitch that's your uncle, that ain't you.
Considering that uncle just helped destroy a priest and not give two fucks in the name of family, I think Gabi should worry what that uncle would do to support other members of his family.
If that baby was a God Child (like Daniel) or a blood relative, then I'd agree. But seeing as how Victor just threw Will's family members under a bus, I highly doubt he'd give two shits about Will's domestic issues with his baby mama.
He will if his NEPHEW, Sonny asks him to.
That's good that you believe that. Eh, I don't, so we can now agree to disagree.

Today's episode was pretty good. I found Abe and Nicole rather random but it was nice to watch. Ejami makes me roll my eyes. I know I'm opening up a can of worms, but I would probably be on board with Ej and Abby. I loved their scenes today.

The Eric stuff was important but rather boring.

So glad to see Kimberly and Shane, though Patsy Pease's eyes were distracting with that deer in the headlights look. I loved watching Caroline with them. They kept referring to the Pub though and other than the odd visit, wasn't the Pub brought in way way way after Kimberly and Shane's time there?

that's true...

Lexie

Kristen

Anna

Caroline

(NOT Marlena though, imho).
Will

Sonny

Justin
He is the super chemistry guy...
Why roll your eyes? He clearly is.

Remember that time when Nicole dreamed about being in bed with almost every male in the Kiriakis family? EJ should do that, except with every Salemite over 18.

Ericole... I don't really have anything to add that hasn't been said. All I know is that I just want to hug them both. Well, maybe one of them more than the other but that's just because he's dreamy. When you don't think GV can get any hotter, he does. That jacket... those jeans... yum.

I'm not on #TeamSonny or #TeamGabi. But I'm hundred percent behind Gabi standing up for herself and I'm also for Sonny getting his Kiriakis on in order to take her on. Bring on the drama. And LOL at Will even mattering to this story - clearly they were getting ready for CM's departure. By his acting, looks like CM had one foot out the door as well.

Yay for Sami not being dumb and not letting up on EJ. I love that she is convinced EJ is lying to her, and that they're not writing her as some clueless idiot (Brady, I'm talking to you). Hopefully that continues because Ejami makes me swoon when they both know they are manipulative, selfish liars - and they still love each other anyway.

Brady stuff was fine. I'm just not in love with any of these characters enough to really care about more their family drama. But I at least appreciate seeing different people and interactions on my screen, so that's been nice. It's not really moving me though.

Ejabby... meh. EJ flirted more with Justin yesterday, LOL.

when it came to the trust coming out about the baby will was wiling to let someone else rise his child because of how was raised with Sami and Lucas as parents, his childhood fueled every decision he made with regards to that, he should have told the trust but that doesn't say that nick wouldn't have blackmailed anyhow. When it comes to Gabi they are literally best friends and will would never go against no matter what.
Both Gabi and Will had crappy childhoods. The difference is Gabi's has been referred to, but Will's played out on screen. They both are products of those crappy childhoods. And I completely agree, Wabi love each other and in their own special dysfunctional way look out for one another. There's no deliberate malfeasance against one another IMO.
That's one thing that I hope the writers will always remember. I thought the writers' attempt to turn Gabi into a vixen during the Chad/Andrew debacle was totally wrongheaded and didn't like slimy and illegal way she hung Melanie out to dry. However, the show has always shown Gabi and Will to be close and rather devoted to and forgiving of each other. If anyone is wired to forgive bad choices its the son of Sami Brady, and when Gabi was written as possibly supporting Nick's emotional and/or literal blackmail - it always rang false to me. Even when I didn't like Gabi, it's pretty clear that Will always has.

However, Sonny is Chad's best friend and was shown being close to Melanie. The Melanie debacle could be a natural source of conflict between Wilson given their different and equally understandable loyalties.

The writers maintaining Wabi's friendship is why I still root for them. No matter what crappy thing that's going on, that reciprocal concern or deep regard has always been there either in words or subtext. And yes, IA that if/when Will finds out about the Andrew debacle, he won't condemn her (especially if he thinks back to the night the baby was conceived.) And I don't believe he'd used it as a means to take Arianna away from her. That's not who Will is, especially when it comes to judging someone he loves.

ETA: And yes, Wabi's friendship is a source of untapped angst for WilSon. I made a comment earlier in this thread that Sonny's mouth was writing check's in regards to threatening Gabi that Will wouldn't/won't cash.

Regarding to Pub, it opened just before Shane left in 1992 and was around for Kim's last several months in Salem. (Kim had a MPD incident at the opening of the Pub.) So they would have some, but not many memories of the Pub. I figure they were also taking into account that the Pub was the Brady Fish Market for years before that, and Shane and Kim had plenty of memorable events at the fish market.

Factoring in Caroline and Jeannie's dialogue later, I thought they might have meant Salem in general.

I watched the Donovan stuff and the Ericole stuff. The Donovan stuff was fine. It'd have been SO MUCH better if we had any history on Theresa and her parents at all. The Shane/Kim stuff at the end was nice, but it was SO VAGUE. I get it. It was for their fans. That's all well and good, but would it absolutely kill them to provide some context for anyone else that might be watching? Meanwhile, they got there a day early but only stayed for about twenty minutes. What?

The Ericole stuff was so old school soapy.
Considering the next Salem day will probably be Thanksgiving, Shane and Kim leaving makes even less sense. What is so important that they won't stay for the holiday with their daughter who just nearly died? And it's not like the Brady Thanksgiving scenes couldn't include have been written to give them a few lines.

I do agree with you about context and how the whole Shane/Kim visit would have benefited from more background, but today cemented how well I think the characters could fit into the show. I know your big criticism of Patsy is that she overacts, but I thought she was pretty toned down this visit. And Shane is such a great character, plus Charlie has great chemistry with the entire cast. Couldn't we put him in charge of the Salem PD? Then they might actually solve a crime.[/b][/b]
They serious fit back into the show like a glove. Some more writing to catch viewers up to speed would be nice. I enjoyed how, in 2010 - as poor as that was handled, the mention Kim going through a divorce (which I took to be Phillip) and this time Shane indicated that Kim was handling the kids all by herself while he was off being an important agent. Some consistency would be nice, especially since it was written for years that Kim and Kayla were both raising their kids in L.A.

And what have they been up to in the past three years? Are they married again? Do they talk to Eve & Andrew? The show always just relies on fan's knowledge of history, which only manages turn off those who don't know it.

Them leaving now and not after Thanksgiving is seriously bad planning on the part of TPTB. Shane running the SPD and Kim being back in town would be nice. Its bad we never seen Marlena be a psychiatrist, or I'd say Kim could flesh out that department as well.
