Do these people not realize that the more they press Gabi to turn down this contract, the more she might want to do it just to get away from their meddling?
Will and the small army of fellow drama queens in his camp never learn.
I'm sorry, WHO's the drama queen? Gabi is up there with the rest of them. If she makes a major life decision for her and her child purely out of SPITE, then she has the maturity of a tween. It won't be long before Ari is smarter than her.

I love how usually on this show if someone is in a coma or paralyzed they recover in like a week, but because they want a Rafe and Jordan pairing, Rafe lives at the hospital permanently and we have to watch every therapy session he has. I just want the guy to start walking and leave town. He's really a pointless character.

I wasn't expecting Sami to offer a counter modeling contract. What logic is there in her not taking it and ending the drama over Ari?

Part of me feels like they're trying to do the "slow build" thing with Rafe/Jordan like they did starting out with Eric/Nicole
They were so clever to start Eric with the Africa backstory. Had they given Jordan even a smidgen of rootable backstory it might have worked but as of today there's no reason to care.

I'm totally for Rafe walking (or even being wheeled, I'm not picky) out of town, but Days is finally doing something right by using his injury for something other than shock value.

I think Sami nailed it when she said Gabi is dreaming of a glamorous NY lifestyle. If I were her, I'd want to put some miles between myself and Jekyll and Hyde Sonny, too.

There is none. If all Gabi wants is to resume modeling and earn her own income, she should jump at the chance. It's the perfect compromise.

And Rafe decides to walk today.
And he's disappointed when Jordan doesn't jump up and down with glee. What is Rafe's problem?

Gabi can't live the "glamorous NY lifestyle" with a baby on her hip. Unless she intends to leave Ari with nannies most of the time.

Gabi's no innocent, by any means, but Will and his bunch always manage to handle every situation as poorly as possible (See Kiriakis, Sonny).

Agreed, but some people can't realize the truth until they live through it.

At least Sami has some awareness of her own past actions with Will
Yea, that was refreshing, however what she did with Will is hardly the same path Gabi's on. At least Gabi has career goals and isn't just interested in using Ari to snag a guy.

And really...who would want to work for such a fickle boss. If any conflict arises between her and Will, she wouldn't have job security.

I think that Will and Sami have handled this very well up to now. I don't know what's going to happen going forward, but so far they've done nothing to Gabi. Will pleaded with her to stay in a very non-confrontational kind of way (and what parent wouldn't want their child to be near them) and Sami has been very rational even offering Gabi a contract in town.
