i feel that Sonny has sacrificed a lot in this relationship. i mean he let the baby mama move in with his bf, even tho he doesn't really like her and he even contributes in raising the child. and now his suppose to leave everything he has and move. if it were me id have dump Wills sorry ass along time ago.

I'm in the "Sonny needs to step off" camp, but I do agree with you that I often wonder when it's going to be Sonny's turn to have his needs met and what exactly he gets out of this relationship. Will is an attractive and ultimately good guy, sure, but he's super duper needy and comes with extreme amounts of baggage.
Maybe, just like his mother Sami, his milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

This we can agree on. Sonny does need to step back. I really want the writers to have Sonny being withdrawn from Will and Ari too to protect his heart. Maybe spending all his time dedicating to his work and studies. Does he even go to college still. When are Sonny's needs and dreams going to be met by Will?

I guess that would require the writers to think of Sonny as his own person and its obvious that they don't see him as anything but a prob to Will hence why the natural emotions and reaction one would have, he doesn't or it goes by in a flash without dealing with it.

I do think Sonny needs to step back, but not for the reasons most do. I hate that people keep bringing up that he's not Ari's father, as if biology is the only thing that matters. The show has a history of bringing a child that lacks biology to a couple and having the unrelated half of the couple still embrace the child as their own. Maggie/Mickey/Melissa, Mickey/Sarah, Julie/Hope, Marlena/Carrie, Marlena/Brady, etc. I do think Sonny is taking it a step too far and needs to step back, but I don't think he gets no say in this situation, either. He's no victim. Neither is Gabi.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
While what Gabi did was horrible, I'm not sure how burdened by it Sonny should be when he's knowingly sharing his bed with an attempted murderer.
Circumstances of both situations are entirely different. Will, underage and under extreme stress. Then directed by the adults in his life to cover it up. Gabi, legal adult, put her "best friend" in danger to get a man and cover her ass. All decisions made were her own.
I'm not talking about the cover up. Ultimately, I'd consider what Gabi did to be just as bad or maaaybe a little worse than what Will did (because of the age differences and relationships to the victims), but it would still mean that neither of them should really have Ari, until after getting some serious help. But the story is that both of them have changed and neither of them are a danger to the baby, so I don't think Gabi's crime should be weighing more heavily on Sonny than Will's does.
The problem is Will suffered for his crime with blackmail (three times) and guilt over it. He consistently wanted to turn himself in but always people talked him out of it. Gabi on the other hand, never paid for it. The victims of her crime never forgave her. She was living with Melanie's grandmother and she never felt any guilt. She blamed Chad for not recognizing her crazy infatuation with him. Her brother covered up for her. She at least needs to feel some punishment for her crime. Everyone in Salem who committed a crime faced some sort of ramification, but Gabi is seeing as innocent as Ari. I don't want her to go to jail but I want Maggie, Daniel, Abi and JJ to find out what she did, then she will pay for her crime.

Another way the two crimes differ is that Will's crime was crime of passion, while Gabi had plenty of time to do something but continued to let that maniac keep her "best friend."

THIS. I want her exposed. I want her to experience the anger and grief of the people who suffered because her selfish obsession. It too easy for her to brush it off and say she feels bad about it. Try saying that to the people who lost their loved ones because of what she did.

I think we are seeing Sonny step back. After Will's discussion with Sami where he said that if he pushed Gabi she would definitely leave we see Sonny go to her and apologize. He then tries to discourage Will from telling Kate what was going on. This is stepping back. His saying he cannot move is not in my opinion him butting in. Will is the one that assumes that if he wants to move to New York Sonny can/will just pick up and tag along. I don't know what will happen on Monday but Sonny since his apology has seemed to be backing off.

I hate that Kate jumped to the conclusion that Gabi was moving to New York with Nick ... talk to the woman before you start making false statements as if they're the truth.

Oh come on Sonny ... seriously you can't move to New York! Really!

I actually thought the Sami/Gabi scenes were good. At least Sami didn't fly off the handle. Good move on her part.

I think I saw some chemistry between Rafe and Jordan today ... nice!

Like the talk between Jen and Eric.

Glad that Daniel and Nicole are sticking to being just friends. I like their friends chemistry.

Eric and Nicole ... she's going to cave soon. Poor guy.

Okay guys, help me out. . . I live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and we got THREE hours of JFK coverage. Give me a good link for Days, will ya? I watched part of the coverage, but I couldn't believe it was 3 hours worth. Thanks, y'all.

Oh, I don't have SoapNet either! :(

Gaaahhhhhh! Nicole just be a little nice to him and forgive him. He is really so sorry, I can't take this anymore.

I am such a weakling, I was all for Eric working for a long while before their relationship can be fixed but after three days I'm ready for it all to be okay between them.

I want everybody to find out what Gabi did, too. I don't think it makes her an unfit mother by the standards of Salem, though.

Even though Ari isn't Sonny's legal child or biological child ...
I think that Ari is a child of Sonny's heart.
It's understandable that he'd be emotional.
Of course it is . It's understandable that all of them would miss seeing that beautiful child on a daily basis but I still think that Gabi shouldn't have to base her decision on what Sonny or anybody else feels except Will. If Will chooses to go to NY to be with his daughter it means that she means more to him than anything or anybody else and he refuses to play dirty by trying to take the baby from her mother. I say good on Will because we all know his crazy mother and grandmother will stop at nothing so they can get to ruin yet another child's life. I love that Rafe is the only one who fuly supports Gabi's decision even though he will miss both her and his little niece.

Re: Sonny and Gabi. To me, the issue is how Sonny is taking the lead in regards to Ari/Will/Gabi. Now as Will's partner, he obviously deserves a seat at the table, but his needs should also be fourth on the list when it's a conflict re: Ari.
