I like her with pretty much with all of them.

Ej, Brady, Eric..... Austin, Victor and very reluctantly even Rafe and Daniel.

I want her at the moment with Eric because I think he's the best one available (and that's saying a lot considering he's a priest) and they have potential to be super sensational but if I am honest with myself the writing is just not there for them yet. They have a bit of a doomed past and the issues that were at play in their past haven't been resolved and the only way I can see them be resolved is if Nicole evolves into something where she is just not Nicole anymore. I'm not signing up for a relationship where Eric is constantly telling her she is not good enough and she needs to behave despite his undeniable hotness. I'm going to need Eric to loosen up a lot. I want to see Nicole happy ( even if only for six months), I want to see her with a family, and I'd trade her with a baby for any of the menfolk as I think it would lead to more lasting relationship than any of the others.

Still I'd love to see young Phillip Kiriakis come back and impregnate her, he doesn't need to marry her just give her a baby. The resulting relationship between Nicole, Victor, Kate, Vivan and Brady would keep me happy for years.

Dicole should have never happened to begin with. :shame: It really feels like Days doesn't know what to do with Nicole's character. It's also kind of weird that AZ isn't pimping the Ericole pairing more.
Actually, she is. The whole purpose of this interview was to ask about Daniel and they say it's not even happening. That's what so bizarre.
I agree I just find it weird they're interviewing AZ with SC about Dicole to begin with, it just seems pointless.
I'd be willing to be bet that was the outlet's choice, not the show's. AFAIK, the two of them aren't doing press right now. But it wouldn't be hard to get an interview with them together, because they've been together a lot lately.

I don't want Nicole with Daniel, I want anther try with . . . Brady. I'll give Eric another chance, too. But Daniel? Nah, they sucked together last time. Not that Bricole ever really, really hit the mark when actually together but I still like them.
The only way a relationship will work with Nicole and any of these guys is if the writers make it so. For some reason they want Nicole to be forever the loser in love. I guess Az is so good at carrying off the sad scenes and making people feel for her that they write whatever story they give her with sad endings. There was no good reason to kill her second baby, but they got their emotional scenes out of it. For Drama they had to have Eric a priest being so horrible to her, after having built up the relationship to make us think there was a close friendship, and caring not just on Nicole's part but on his. He wasnt as nasty when he confronted Kristen the real culprit. That's why I think that they will rebuild the relationship (I am sure they wont do it to my sastisfaction, because I havent forgotten how quickly they had Brady going back to Kristen and trusting her completely) and just when you think this is it, they have him choose the priesthood over her. Another sad ending for Nicole, and they will have their emotional scenes again, and round and round we go.

Friends, fine. They totally work as friends. Anything else? Hell no. Nicole's soul mate is Eric, period, point blank. I really would hate for the show to backtrack on everything they've been painstakingly building with Ericole.

As for Shawn's social outcast comment - maybe Daniel was a social outcast at some point in his past. I think part of the reason he is helping J.J. despite J.J.'s repeated transgressions is because he sees something of himself in J.J. But as with Rafe, they haven't really mined Daniel's past enough for us to get a clear sense of him. That is a big failure on the show's part. They want both of these men to be integral characters, but they haven't given them the kind of depth that would allow viewers to more readily accept their prominence. Obviously Daniel is definitely NOT a social outcast now, minus everyone giving him the stink eye lately over what they think happened with Theresa. Before that, absolutely everyone (edit: except Lucas and the one-dimensional character of Anne) did nothing but sing his praises for months and months and months...something Nicole has NEVER experienced.

I appreciate Shawn basically acknowledging in the nicest and most diplomatic way possible that the writing is heavily skewed toward the Dannifer pairing, basically forcing it in the most inorganic way possible. That has been clear to the viewers for a long time, but it's nice to have it more or less acknowledged by one of the actors.

I don't want Nicole pining away for someone who doesn't want her. I want her pursued. It doesn't have to be Daniel, but it has to be someone. And Eric isn't happening. He doesn't want her that way. He wants his priest robes.
And isn't that exactly what she'll be in doing with Daniel? He wants Jennifer. So why should her character be wasted on yet another man who wants someone else? Not to mention she has zero romantic chemistry with Daniel. And Eric isn't a priest at this point and given his conversation with Marlena yesterday, it's questionable if he'll ever go back.

You hit the nail on the head! Daniel is in love with Jennifer. So, hooking up with Daniel is a complete waste of time I can do without another round of Jennifer blasting Nicole for not being 'good enough' for Dannyboy or setting Nicole up to be the villain why she so call "keeps them apart". The writers heaped that crap on us last time and I can do without another round of it.
If they want Daniel/Nicole to be friends. Fine. I don't have any problem with it. She needs friends, so that's okay. And if it'll ruffle Eric's feathers, I'm down for that too (which I think will happen by the way). But no, to them being past platonic.

Keep Daniel away from Nicole. Dicole is the only pairing of hers that makes me psychically ill. And STOP interviewing the actors about it.

Eh. They're taking ericole slowly so I don't mind if she has flings before it happens. I don't care for her with Daniel though. I'm just trying to remember the last time I saw multiple interviews about nothing.

I'm not worried. For some reason this show is insanely committed to Dannifer. World War 3 and the Zombie Apocalypse could hit at the same time and when the dust cleared it would be cockroaches and Dannifer left standing.

lmfao.....

Yeah....I'm not worried.....I can live with a year worth of Eric fantasies now.....even if they have Dan and Nicole going at it like bunnies, having Eric fantasize about Nicole while she'd getting some kind of comfort from another 'source' would be worth it for me.....

I'm not worried, just repulsed. But it might take something like this to make Eric get his head out of his ass. I'm just hoping that the "possibility" of it makes him reconsider his life choices and will serve as enough angst without them having to actually go there with Dicole. :yuk:

SC also did interviews with Kate Mansi at this time. My guess is that without MR at the event they just paired him with other actresses he is currently on screen with.

I was at the event. Everyone was paired except for LK, GG, and CS who were a trio. SC was with KM the entire time, so these interviews were done somewhere else at another time unless they asked both of them separately and then combined their interviews into another write-up.

Not a Daniel fan but I feel for Shawn because of all the backlash he's been subjected to since he first came on the show. The writers have damaged his character from the get go starting with the creepy pedophile like relationship with kates granddaughter Chelsea

I'm going to be the minority here and say I liked the Danicole pairing -- but when it happened in 2012, I think it was in direct contrast to the fact that I despised schmoopy EJole so much.

I wouldn't mind Nicole stopping off at Danicole Junction on her way to Ericole-ville. And if it keeps Dannifer off my screen, I'm even better with it.

AZ and SC have their phenomenal chemistry. The only point at which I thought Danicole went too far was Dr. Dan doing pregnant Nicole on his desk...

I do think the actors have good chemistry. Then again, Ari Zucker has chemistry with everything that moves so I'm not surprised. I probably wouldn't loathe Daniel/Nicole the way I do now if it had been approached differently. The pregnant desk sex was just icky, and Nicole was used as merely a prop in Dannifer's story until Chloe returned. The almost-ruination of Nicole for Dannifer in 2012 is the reason I will never be able to get on board with a Daniel/Nicole pairing.
