Trish hitting Jack in the head with the iron is definitely one of the most memorable moments on Days for me. Wasn't expecting it at all.

I am so used to reading about someone pretending to be insane to get off when charged with a crime, I laughed when I saw the Mickey pretending to be sane so he could represent himself. Can someone please explain what this portion of the storyline was all about? Also interested in what Greg did to help Susan realize she was frigid?
It does seem kind of funny when you read it like this that Mickey was pretending to be sane. If he was insane, how would he be able to control that, lol? But, he was just trying to act normal so he wouldn't be committed to the sanitarium.

Can't remember what Greg did for Susan re her being frigid other than talk it over with her. Susan being frigid and men being impotent were Bill Bell's influence. He wrote a lot of psychological based stories, in the 70s especially.

And now, for some reason, I can't find my September 1977 SOD (with Dan & Kim's wedding from ATWT on the cover). I *know* I have it & I have it marked that I have in on my SOD inventory sheet (yes, I'm OCD), but for the life of me I can't find it (or my December 1977 for that matter, which I *also* know I have). I'm not amused.

I've been thinking that for a while now, and I loved Neil. And he was totally smarmy and rather unethical but I really liked him. I think Joe Gallison had a lot to do with that. But then, I liked Veronica over Betty (The Archies), so sue me. lol Oh, Grams hated him. I was a weird little kid.

It's interesting that you made the Neil/Daniel observation. As I've been reading through this the one thing that really caught my eye was Bill's hand troubles and how it interfered with his ability to work. Daniel Jonas anyone. Sorry Dan, with all of Bill Horton's flaws, you still don't measure up.

BTW Matt (and Jason) - Thank you, thank you, thank you.

This is such a great service, Matt (and Jason). I can't even stay caught up. What a great dilemma. lol This is filling in a lot of gaps for me, and giving me recall of such great memories of sharing some of these stories with one of my Grams (the one who watched Days and CBS soaps). It's so enjoyable to read these well crafted stories.

Thanks so for much for sharing. This is awesome. :applause:

Hey now, when I was purchasing all the old 1970s and 1980s issues through the years, I didn't have the knowledge that another person had all the issues waiting for me (in case I needed any)...so turn that frown upside down!!

We want people here to be  not :frustration:

I try the best I can to make everyone  and not :frustration:

Lysie, I'm still waiting for that paycheck!!

You can't keep up?? Try typing out 12,300 episodes of cast/set lists...it seems like a never-ending task, but I guess I will have finally conquered that never-ending task sometime next year, yay!!

And, yes, thanks to Matt for all the time and effort in compiling the SOD scans. It's cool that he happens to be doing it during this time period, just as my big research on the show is coming to a close...2014 looks like it will be a great year for "Days" history fans.
