So...I wonder how long Days is going to ignore Peggy McKay's apparent spoiler that Will and Sonny are indeed getting married in the near future.

I thought FS' comment about GW's version of Will acting older and evolving was interesting.

The acting older thing kind of worries me. Guy already looks considerably older than Chandler and while there has to be room for some give, they can only portray this character to be so old. Lucas and Sami can't have a 28 year old son running around, so I hope he's not acting too mature for the character. I don't mind him looking older, but Will still has this immaturity about him that let's you know he's still a young kid. I hope the transition is gradual.

NO KIDDING! (re: bolded part)
That would suddenly make Will about the same age as Shawn D would be. Plus, it would have to make Sami & Lucas about 45.

They shouldn't marry yet. They haven't even had a psychotic third party try to break them up! It's hard for me to care about Will and Sonny when their journey to be together has been relatively easy. They need a third party to make things interesting. Sonny should fall in love with another guy, and Will should take a page out of his parents' book and start scheming to get Sonny back. As for the third party, how about a grown-up Ben Reardon? He is Abe's nephew by marriage (he's the son of Wendy Reardon and adopted son of Jonah Carver, Abe's brother). He was also born on the show in 1993, so he falls into the same age category. Plus, with Cameron gone, Abe could use a new, established relative on the show (not one who was pulled out of thin air like Cameron or Jett Carver in 2007), and Days can always use new people of colour. Plus, Ben's mysterious paternity was a story that was dropped and never revealed. He could turn out to be Eric's son!

I agree about the age thing. I really wish shows would stop casting thirty year olds, or close to, to play late teens, early twenties (like Glee :glare: ). I feel like this guys gonna make it look like Lucas and Sami had Will before they were ten lol

Will&Sonny

I want Will and Sonny to get married, too...but I wish that it could have happened with Chandler Massey playing the role of Will. It's going to be painful (for me, at least) to watch a wedding between Will and Sonny without both of the actors who made Will and Sonny the extremely popular couple that they are in the first place. This should have happened months ago, since the writers knew all along that Chandler's contract was ending this year and that there was at least a possibility that he wouldn't renew it, but instead they wasted our time on more stupid nonsense involving Nick the homophobe and his ridiculous obsession with Will's daughter.

For what it's worth, Guy Wilson played a high school senior (when he was 25 or 26) with a fair amount of believability, so it might not be as jarring as we think.

In any case I'm looking forward to the storyline's continuation. :-)

Guy looks way younger than his age, not that he's that old to begin with. He's around Blake Berris' age I believe.

I agree. In person, he looks at least as young as Chandler does, IMO.

Will and Sonny cannot even have a fight that goes beyond an episode, talk about perfect road to a marriage  hope they add some edge to them with the new Will on board.

Hopefully, they give Sonny a seedy past. Even Freddie wants to see a different side to Sonny, not Mr. Perfect 24/7. Sonny wasn't living in Salem for years. He has a past that none of us knows about (good or bad). It should be easy to write some storyline where Sonny's past comes back to haunt him. He's a Kiriakis after all! Come on now. Man's got that evil gene in him somewhere.

I'll miss Chandler of course, but I am interested in seeing what Guy Wilson does with the role and of course think he deserves every chance to make it his own. Besides, Days loves to do up weddings, so I hope if Wilson gets a wedding it will be big and wonderful. Heck, this is Days, so parity demands they have at least one spectacularly interrupted wedding.

Days should request the services of every gay designer and gay wedding planner in the nation. They should set up a Kickstarter account requesting donations. Gays will gladly have the Wilson wedding outdo the Royal one.

That is just so not Will or Sonny, though.

I clicked on the link and, OMG, the comments are beyond disturbing. This has been bothering me
for quite a while. These fans are talking equality, anti bullying, love etc but what they do to Guy is bullying,
and hate. There are fans going thru his two years of tweets looking for something to slam him on.
Lord have mercy, I feel for Guy.

It's a damn shame. Chandler left of his own free will. He has other ambitions besides acting and good for him. Guy deserves support and certainly a fair chance - especially since there are a relative few gay romances on national television. Sometimes I don't know what is wrong with people.

Truth be told, it's one woman who's writing all the comments. She is insane. The Wilson fans have discussed her. She is stalking Guy. Her Tumblr is even weirder. She's seeking vengeance due to NBC firing Chandler. She can't accept that he left. She's a French woman with a ton of kids. You'd think she'd have more to worry about.

Someone brought up the following: she downloaded a program to hack into Guys account and find everything he Favorited. She then took screen caps and posted them. She even took her camera phone, pointed it at her monitor and took caps that way. She's written about how people think she's crazy. She's written about people 'forgetting Chandler' already - "Not on my watch!"

She totally ignored Guy's pro-gay tweets and progressive causes comments and retweets. She's taken 99% of what she's found out of context or has manipulated it in keeping with her agenda.

Guy used what is now deemed derogatory about transsexuals. It wasn't a comment attacking transsexuals either. It's the same word that got Neil Patrick Harris in trouble. When Guy was taken to task over it, he apologized profusely. This woman totally ignored it. She also bashed Guy for attending acting seminars, laughing that it must mean Guy can't act. Um, we've seen his work.

She also has this thing about ruining both characters, ending the storyline because Chandler is no loner part of it.

Come January, Guy will start airing. She'll try bashing his performance, attempting everyone to 'see the light.' Come mid-February, she'll be forgotten and will hopefully change the channel as well as log off.
