Would have been nice to see Anna during Carrie's most recent stay. Also would be nice to hear confirmation that Carrie and Austin's baby has been born.

Ya know, in hindsight, the Sydnapping story was one of the best stories in the past 10years in my opinion and I freaking LOVED the true reveal: that epic "Say It Nicole! SAY IT!" Episode with Sami and Nicole.....best acting AS has ever done and my heart BROKE for Nicole. Sigh. Good shit! ;)

i wasn't a fan of the sydnapping, but I did love seeing Anna. Also def the best Sydney so far. Somehow they've managed to out-act all the Sydney's that have come since.

I liked the switch over the Sydnapping...I felt that the minute the story shifted it lost all the steam it had and it went down hill quickly. I did get a kick of seeing Anna/LH though.

Yeah, I love the babyswitch, but got bored once the November 2009 reveal happened. The Sydnap was pretty meh IMO, especially the confusing ending. Seriously, I felt like I missed a segment when EJ showed up in the Brady pub with Syd.

Sydanna!

I also hated that story, although the Syd/Anna interaction was gold and I learned that EJ/Anna had chemistry, because of it. It was another DH story full of twists that happened because DH wanted to write twists.

IMO, multiple twists don't make up for the lack of a well-written & cohesive story.

IMO, when a story isn't well planned out, the twists aren't even really twists. They're just abrupt changes in direction. Like, you can't just suddenly announce that Alice Horton was a drug kingpin and that the powdered sugar in her donuts was actually cocaine. You should be able to go back and watch the scenes that lead up to the reveal and see that the writers had been laying the groundwork for the surprise all along.

That is why the Alice secret's story had to be dropped, because it didn't make a lick of sense....but I do think that the Sydnapping was planned out by Dena as the final 'layer' in the onion of the baby switch. I just think that they should have played up Ej's hate for what Sami had done to him more..and that is what they failed at....

I NEED there to be an Anna/grown-up Carrie scene. I want both characters back on a more permanent basis if possible, but I at least NEED that scene. And I need it written in line with what's actually played out. It still just absolutely blows my mind that they missed each other by about a day in 2010.

I think the sydnapping was planned in the strictest sense of the word - DH knew it was going to happen - but I don't think anyone actually sat down and carefully plotted things out. The part of DH's book where she complained that he bosses always asked what would happen next, when she came to them with a big idea was telling. We saw EJ forgive Sami for hiding Grace and go back to happily sharing custody of one kid with her. But sharing custody of two kids with her was right out, because _____. We saw EJ worrying about Sydney's safety when he was alone. Anna got involved partially because she was so angry that Sami hurt Carrie, even though newer viewers probably didn't even know Carrie was Anna's daughter, because when Anna was on screen, no one had any plans to touch on her connection to Carrie. It would have been trivial to bring Anna back to Salem (since LH was on the show at the time, but Anna was out of town) and let her have a run in with Sami, or even make a couple of snide comments about her to other people. The pieces were there. The story could have worked, if someone had put in some effort beforehand.

And I agree about the Alice story
