This time we want to know about your favorite holiday scenes! They don't necessarily have to be Christmas scenes. Any holiday is fine. Please remember to try to include a clip. If you don't have one, though, that's fine. You have until December 15th to participate!

John mistakes Marlena for Kristen and kisses her under the mistletoe, which leads to family time at Salem Place and a Black family photo where J&M are mistaken for a couple by Santa's elf.

Also, Christmas 2002 - the Supercouples vs. Supervillains episode (esp. the J&M scenes.)

Part 1:

Yay! My favorite holiday of the year, so I will keep it all to Christmas moments!!

My first Days Christmas is still one of my faves of all-time. The Hortons singing Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas as the rest of the Salemites are shown. Charlayne Woodard's wonderful rendition of O Holy Night, when Days used to spend time to take a break from storylines and gave a chance to Charlayne to showcase her beautiful voice a cappella singing one of my favorite Christmas songs of all-time. Also, when Mac & Frances kissed and wished each other a Merry Christmas at the end of 1991. And, when the show gave a Christmas tribute to Mac in 1996. And Frances' final scene ever, where she looks lovingly at Mac's picture and speaks her final line of dialogue: "Merry Christmas, Tom."

Okay, I won't keep going with all my other faves, but here are those clips mentioned above (and a few others)!

1965 First Christmas episode

1989 Salem montage

1991 Charlayne Woodard's rendition of O Holy Night

1996 Tribute to Mac

I'm so glad that 89 montage has been mentioned. Not only is that one of my all-time favorite holiday memories on this show, it's one of my all-time favorite memories PERIOD. Just the camera panning & dissolving from the Hortons at the window to the Bradys coming out onto the porch to Victor's "bah humbug" is just PERFECT.

In no particular order (& i'll edit the post tomorrow to add clips):

1. Christmas (1984) - i'm a sucker for the music box scene. lol.
2. Santa Zack (2004, i believe)
3. 4th of July (2007) - aka the last time we saw Frances Reid
4. Thanksgiving (2002)
5. Christmas (2000) - yes, that includes Bope's wedding. lol.
6. NYE (2002) - Victor & Nicole's wedding; Colin Murphy's death.

I watched these a few days ago. I managed not to tear up while Bo & Hope put Zack's ornament on the tree, but when Hope's hands appeared while Chelsea was struggling to put her ornament on the tree, I was a goner!
(Chelsea & Hope's talk in the hospital in 2008 gets me too!)

Not here for St. Jack of the Immaculate Redemption

Trying to think of some good gen moments but these are pretty couple-y. At least there's no Clay Aiken.

Kayla gives Steve a cookbook for Christmas:

Steve leads the Emergency Center in holiday cheer:

Also the Thanksgiving '89 montage. It's in parts at the end of both these clips--

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gvm4zn77jo4

--but there's more to it (Kim and amnesiac Shane) if anyone can find the whole thing. It was nice to see those steps (Jack taking Jo up on her offer of dinner, Steve and Kayla beginning to thaw after the Marina mess, etc.) happen on Thanksgiving.

There's a Christmas 2007 scene that I always liked. Marlena is having a hard time because it's her first Christmas without John and Sami comes over and puts up a tree and they talk. Sometimes Sami can be very sweet.

I'm gonna stick with Christmas for now.

- I agree with the 1989 montage.

- There was a Christmas episode with the Hortons looking out the window as Nat King Cole's version of "O Holy Night" played. I'm not sure what year it was, the clip I saw on Youtube was from the 25th anniversary in 1990, but I can't find it anymore.

- Christmas 1993. John and Kristen returns Belle to Roman and Marlena while Billie sings "O Holy Night"

That was the 1990 flashback montage of past Christmases. The scene you are referring to was originally the 1989 montage, with the Hortons looking out the window (see video above). The music was added in for the 1990 flashback montage.

My hands down favorite DAYS scene of all time. I vividly remember I was baking cookies with my then 11 year old daughter and we kept running back and forth from the kitchen to the living room during commercial breaks because we were so riveted. Best burnt Christmas cookies ever!

One of my favorite Christmas moments was when John gave Marlena the charm bracelet. Such a beautiful moment between them.

John & Kristen returning Belle to Roman & Marlena is always a classic.

And I always have a soft spot for Bonnie's gigantic Horton's ornament!
