If you live in Alabama, only Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, and Louisiana are considered the south. Sometimes Tennessee.
Yeah, I was going to say, I know people who don't consider Florida to be the south. Which is crazy talk, because it so clearly is, but what are you going to do?
Basically, it's that the location is but the people aren't. Seriously.
Yes, Florida is south of The South. I grew up in south Florida. That part of the state is most definitely not part of The South, where I have also lived.
As a South Carolinian, we have that same thought that Florida is south of the actual "south", very strange when you think about it lol.

No, we definitely include Tennessee. (Just don't care much for their football teams). Also Kentucky, Arkansas and the Carolinas. But only the panhandle of Florida (for obvious reasons - the rest of Florida is transplanted Yankees). And we're good with the southern half of Virginia and most of West Virginia.
Maybe where you live. ;)

True enough. Or maybe I've just learned to be forgiving and accepting of the less fortunate ;)

I need Days to build an entire family around Tad. Like the Lockharts, except, you know, good.
Tad puts me in mind of my beautiful Tanner (Scofield). BC really has dreamy eyes.

Fla is not south because Northerners all reside there.

LOL. This is so entertaining. In spite of my post, I am familiar with this argument of who is deemed a "real" southerner depending on which "southern" state you live in. I just wasn't going there because I've seen dawn come up while people argued this stuff.

Is SR from the south? I heard a southern accent during her speech to Victor.
Her wikipedia page says she was born in Maryland, grew up in Virgina - but that is if wikipedia pages are to be trusted. Is VA technically the south?
Well, Richmond, Virginia, was the capitol of the confederacy during the Civil War. Currently though I think it would depend on what part of Virginia you're in. I live in the D.C. area which is close to Northern Virginia and I don't believe the people there would think of themselves as southerners. Suzanne is definitely from Virginia.

I love going to the South! Everyone down there is so friendly and hospitable, seriously. I've never had a bad experience at a store, restaurant, or hotel I've been too. Sorry, side note!

Loved today's episode.

First, I love Jordan. I love her backbone and her sassiness with Kate. Now, she's no match for Kate because Kate kicks ass, but she's refreshing to see. Confident and love she has secret identities. I am also loving her and Rafe. Love new couples. I do still think she is Dimera connected or Sarah Horton grown up.

Nicole looks stunning as usual and has the best hair to me on the show. Short hair is so in now. I think more Salem woman should go short. Long hair is kind of wearing out on me to be honest.
I hope Nicole spins the story to help Eric feel free.

Daniel and Eric in scenes is so hot. The medicine man once again is on the scene.

I think Gabi will spill the beans eventually. I love Rafe and Gabi scenes. Think they have the best brother and sister relationship on the show right now besides Sami and Eric.

Maggie bores me. Victor can do without her. I hate when the woman tries to change the guy or vice versa. Victor is a bad ass and he is a legend. It is funny he was having a drink in front of coked out Brady. EM really is a fantastic actor. He can play so many facets of Brady. I'm not thrilled Brady is doing drugs again or he even does them at all. What was his mother Isabella like?

Love, love, love Ejabby. I mean, I see flirting from both sides. I say bring it on. I love it. I would love to see Jennifer's face to when she finds out Abby has a thing potentially for Ej. She thinks she has problems with Jj.

LOL...this is so entertaining ( and I studied American history, so I do know why this is still important to many people!) It's like the German version of Bavaria (South) against the rest of the republic. Northern Germans like me often make fun of Bavaria being a foreign country...it is in a way, it's not Germany ...and Schloss Neuschwanstein and King Ludwig are Disney figures lol!

Hmmm, as someone who has lived her entire life in central Florida (Go Gators?! LOL. Not really, I'm so not a sports person), I had no idea I wasn't Southern. I feel so displaced emotionally.

He actually reminds me of a younger Bryan Dattilo! I love that actor's charm and wouldn't mind seeing him get more airtime in a legit storyline. Actually, if this Ejail thing doesn't happen (please happen please happen please happen), maybe Abby/Tad or something to get him started.

This picture should make me happy because !dimples!, but it makes me so sad.

1. Philip should be running Titan with Victor, not that putz named Brady.
2. Victor should be married to Kate, the fiercest woman in Salem, not listening to Maggie screech about Taniel and Father Eric.
3. Kate used to be so fierce, now she's trying to destroy some dopey dude's physical therapist. WTF.
4. Again, Philip's entire generation is missing!

Get me a DeLorean and take me back. The Kiriakis family should be running things in that town.
Great post!!!

I loved the dynamic of the Kiriakis family - and I always felt like JKJ looked like he could be the actual son of LK and JA!

I miss Philip Kiriakis. I don't know that I'd want him back though - I'm pretty tired of the handsome, charming, wealthy, war hero being written as the perpetual loser - not only in relationships but in his ability to keep a child as his. He was always in second place and I hated that (not to mention finding it totally unbelievable). I'm sure TomSell would just give me more of the same.

If they wanted to bring him back to win over Chloe and to fix the retconning of Parker's paternity, I'd be all for it. But it'll never happen as long as St. Taniel is on this show.

Love this one too.

It's all relative, because the people seem southern by my northern standards, but obviously people from other areas judge these things on a different (and wrong ;) ) rubric. Well, maybe Texans don't. I don't know many of them.
I'm a born and bred Texan, Six! I consider myself very southern in mannerisms, colloquialisms and food fixin's. I was gonna ask Lysie what she thought of Texans and whether they are a breed of their own or southerners. I consider everything above the Red River "northern", but not "Yankee".

Or course, like you said - it's all relative too because I'm only 5'1" in height and anyone taller than me is "tall". ;)

All 3 of Sami's men moving on to other women has me laughing my ass off! Rafe with Jordan, EJ with Abby, and Lucas with his new girl.

I would love nothing more than for Sami to be man-less and alone.

Sorry sweetie! You don't have the magical vagina after all....
