GH NABS DONNA MILLS

According to EW.com, Donna Mills (ex-Abby, KNOTS LANDING) has been tapped to play a new, top-secret role on GH, set for a late February debut.
'General Hospital' casts 'Knot's Landing' star --EW EXCLUSIVE
A Ewing is coming to Port Charles!
Donna Mills — best known for playing villainess Abby Ewing on Knot’s Landing — is joining the cast of General Hospital. EW has learned that Mills was the only choice to play a new (see: big) character — particularly because the writers are major fans of her old primetime soap.
Sadly, insiders won’t spill details about her character. She is expected to start appearing on the sudser in late February.
The addition of Mills caps off a big year for casting on GH, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last April. Executive Producer Frank Valentini lured back former stars like Genie Francis, Rick Springfield, Kelly Monaco and even Richard Simmons to help celebrate the milestone.

Wow! This is awesome news. A year or two ago, I watched Knots Landing for the first time and it has become one of my favorites. I definitely need to tune in for this.

||Awesome! I've missed me some Donna Mills. Cannot believe she's 73??! I wonder whom the wonderful former Abby Fairgate Ewing will play? Some guesses (1) Nina Clay's mother. (2) a re-cast Tiffany Hill Donely, since Sharon Wyatt cannot return, Donna Mills would be great in the role! (3) Lorena Sharpe Barrington ---formerly Shelley Taylor Morgan.|

The fact that she has been off our TV screens on a weekly basis for 25 years is criminal.
And kudos to General Hospital for not being ageist and hiring somebody over 70 (!!!).
This never would have happened under Jill Farren Phelps' reign of terror.
