Someone should have asked Eric about Eileen
They talked about her a little bit. Compliments as always :) . Eric said she brought the best out of him. Martha said she liked them as pairing.
i have to admit when she said she started watching everday when Eileen joined & hasn't been as much since, I mean I am so there w/her, but I felt SO BAD for Eric in that moment! It's like, what do you possibly say to that??

Thanks! That is nuts about Passions. Though I miss the good old days when NBC had that type of money to throw around.

^Love the writeup :)

But Martha actually doesn't think that her cohost Lily thinks they cause autism.

And hey, that Bollywood scene was gold, lol.
I haven't seen a lot of Lily Rivera scenes, but Lily M was as annoying as people said her character was during that interview. Her little speech about loving GH because they cared about the craft had me rolling my eyes.

You are so right. But she was just being sincere. And not that Eric himself never made similar "mistakes' while saying openly what he thinks, like mentioning in several interviews how different Eileen is from other veterans in her enthusiastic and deep approach to her material and role, which is pretty much saying that other veterans are hmm.... different.

I didn't even think to feel bad for EM when Martha made the ED comment, lol. I just agreed with her completely. I mean I hated Kristen's storyline around the first wedding of doom to Brady, but I really liked the hectic energy her character brought to the show. Even if she was only interacting with a select few characters. I miss having her on screen.

Yes. It's true. And plain truth is "undiplomatic" sometimes.

I thought that was pretty foot-in-mouth. But it's not like Eric has had a chance to work that closely with a lot of veterans in the same way, anyway, or many of them get the kind of extended and connected material that ED did, where there is actually something to work with.

My pet peeve is when a new character is introduced, tests well with the audience and network, is on contract for a year or more, and then they decide to make that character some long lost relative or egg baby. Think of how many characters started out on this show with no blood ties to anyone and are now related to practically everyone. We could add that to the list that someone started awhile back called Soap Opera Problems. Does every older female character have to get pregnant as teen, give the baby up for adoption, and be reunited with them many years later after first having a contentious relationship with said long lost child?
You're right.Chad was a non entity then all of a sudden we had his judge mother having been a hooker with Kate and Kate finding out Stefano was his father. It just seemed like contrived BS to make Chad the son of Stefano.Maybe thats why I was less than enthusiastic about the character. It was a bunch of nonsense.
That story screwed up Kate's timeline. She sold her body to make money to feed Lucas, who had to be an adult and a year away from fathering a child of his own at the time she and Madeline were working for Stefano.
Well I was not really watching much during Kate and Lucas, the early days but as I said the story with Chad felt like contrieved BS.Thanks for confirming my suspicion.

Lol, you don't say, Jade? :yawnz: She straight up panicked! Kind of made me side eye Sheryl's first couple of episodes, haha.

Didn't she have a baby about the time Kristen left? Maybe that is part of it?

That's probably part of it because yes, she did have a baby. But she sent out a tweet or two about how Blake Berris and Eileen Davidson were amazing so she may have lost some interest with neither of them currently onscreen.

And Jade handled it the worst possible way. Did she think they will fire her? Kassie DePaiva received similar congratulations, hints and questions weeks ago but she either remained silent or tweeted to her fan something like "you think you're going crazy... Me too!!!" which was really sweet.

I really hope it's about ED!!!
Maybe TPTB were waiting for the official renewal to make her an offer to come back.
