Who knows what JS will do but if I was a betting woman.....my money is on his leaving this time around.
If he doesn't leave though, can we get the EJucas 'Odd Couple' roommate situation? Two single dads raising kids, snarking at each other, dating again, etc? Yeah. I'd watch that.
I'm undecided on how I'd like Sami's departure to be written. I'm leaning towards soapy death of some sort to propel other stories on canvas. A Sami Brady death would have a huge impact on many different characters.
I hope not, it would prove him to be a one note wonder on DOOL and I think he's got more to give. I actually figured this would happen a few weeks ago, I won't post why but I could have call it. JS has more to give, and maybe what they've been doing with his character is testing the waters. To me, the water is fine!! JS has the charisma to be an even bigger hit on DOOL, I hope he sticks around to show it. See and I think JS has the charisma and acting chops to actually spread his wings to move onto a show with better writing.
I'll continue to *try* and enjoy him on Days if he stays, but I'm also more than okay if he wants to pursue other options and hopefully land another acting gig somewhere.

I don't fully understand why 48 years into this show, there is still a commonly held belief that a character can't come back if they're killed off.
Roman fell off a cliff, Steve's died, Stefano had his bones displayed, oh come on dead and buried is only true in real life. On days, it's just a pause to see how many years it will take for them to return. Coming back from the dead also replaces previously donated body parts. See Jack Deveraux.

I don't think this man needs to be half of Ejami, Ejabby, Ejole, Ejucas, EJafe, Ejope...or any other couple blend to be simple amazing but I think this show is improved with him....
what am I saying?????? I've never been a JS fan, but what I'm seeing is hottttt! No arm flaying, no teapot stance, no sucking up to Sami, Stefano, or any other person. Just EJ saying.... here I am!! Can't believe he was willing to turn his sister in..... :hail: :hail: :hail:

...Stefano had his bones displayed? yeah, supposedly it was Tony's cousin (since Tony was stranded on the island), who trapped everybody on a island, if memory serves, or maybe it was a few people, whatever. Faux Tony kept talking to his father, only to eventually span to the chair and see bones, instead of a body. Like something out of Psycho, I guess Strip you down to your bare bones and still come back from the dead.

I don't fully understand why 48 years into this show, there is still a commonly held belief that a character can't come back if they're killed off. Well, that's true but I think if the character dies of a terminal illness like cancer it isn't as easy to bring them back. It's insulting to the audience. It's one thing to have Stefano return after his numerous brain tumors, but he never really had them.

I know many fans love Lumi, but I would absolutely HATE to see Bryan lose his place on DAYS with TPTB sending Lucas/Sami off together happily ever after. If we get any Lumi reunion, I need Sami to die before AS leaves, because I ADORE Bryan Dattilo, and no way in hell do I want him to leave the show... especially since he's made it clear how much he loves DAYS and appreciates the opportunity to be there. I don't want him to lose that. And I'm really scared the show will end up going that route, because even with Lucas back, I have not felt the show truly value him, or care about him. I think they see him as disposable... so personally, AS leaving makes me very nervous for him.
I'm going to support the hell out of LuSh, because I love Jade Harlow and Bryan's chemistry, and because I want him to stick around.

I am not sure if anyone else feels this way, but I'll ask. Does anyone else feel not quite as invested now in the storyline about EJ, Sami and Abby . I just don't seem to care as much about that story anymore, now Sami either dies, gets locked away somewhere, or is on the run..... Her announcement yesterday, seems like I just read the last chapter of a good book. I find the timing of her announcement yesterday sort of took the wind out it's sails. Why announce now if your leaving in over a year.. If you don't feel this way, no biggie, really not looking to debate. Just wondering if anyone else feels similar. Thanks for allowing my rant. :bye:
Salem Viewer I feel the same. I think when Ms. Sweeney saw the giant fan reaction to EJ/Abby sex her mind had to wander over to the topic of KARMA. As a younger actress, AS somehow managed to take the reigns from DH. It's possible KM could unseat AS as the self-proclaimed star of DAYS. The timing of her announcement doesn't surprise me at all. She seems to be a bit of a fame-whore. How cool would it have been if she kept her mouth shut and let the writers send her out in a shocking blaze of glory?
KM's version of Abigail will never hold a candle to what AS has created with "Sami Brady". I don't think AS is jealous of KM in the least bit, its just laughable. lol Not even close.

Wasn't John cremated once? :blulaugh: Oh oh oh, yes he was! BUT, it wasn't his remains. And that was back when we had GOOD SWEET Nick. And he was the one who proved the ashes were not Johns. And Marlena was so excited she kissed Nick and he had this whole "Aww shucks ma'am" reaction. Sigh, I miss that Nick. Tried to look for clips but coulnd't find any. :(

Not even close. I'm guessing NBC/Sony/Corday dictated the timing of this announcement. It is all very carefully orchestrated to build towards the February sweeps and to soothe the Ali/Ejami fans who are freaking out over the mess they created with EJ & Abby.
I don't care about EJ, Abby & Sami either because it is such plot-driven nonsense instead of the character-driven story line involving Ericole.

The red nose and shivering lip, not to mention the ape-childish head nod, is enough acting for me.

I don't fully understand why 48 years into this show, there is still a commonly held belief that a character can't come back if they're killed off. I know that a character is never dead. However, I really don't want Sami to die. I just have no desire to see a bunch of people watch her wither away on a deathbed. There's just a lot more interesting directions they could go.
