I would think even the biggest AS/Sami haters would want Sami sent out with a bang. I've had no use for Sami for about a decade or more, but I still hope she has a huge exit. I want her exit to cause huge ripples through the canvas.

We have watched all of these people basically fade away. People that were my all-time favorites have gone with barely more than a whimper and that didn't do anyone good. But its not about AS or Sami deserving a big exit. Its more about leaving that for the remaining characters. Her death, arrest, fleeing town could leave story for a ton of characters. What does the show gain from letting Sami fizzle out? Plus a big exit will DEFINITELY pop the ratings. Its win/win, IMO.

Depending how she goes, especially if it tragedy, many characters will have aftershocks when she goes, some may feel shock, guilt, anger, despair. Could be great stories for those who remain...I'll watch..

I don't think she'll be sent out with a bang. Days has kind of 'slid' characters out for a few years now. It's really Tomlin's MO. It leaves the door open for their return, and it makes it less noticeable to the viewers. Also, Ali doesn't seem to be leaving on bad terms at all, so I wouldn't be surprised if Sami pops up for the holidays or weddings. I agree it would be good for the ratings if she had some kind of eventful exit story, but my guess is that that's not what they're going to do.

Don't know if this has been posted or not, but, Wendy Williams talked about AS leaving DAYS
in her hot topics beginning at 9:38.

And I didn't know Alison is worth $7 million dollars.

I would love it if Sami died. If she's going to go, I want it to be big, splashy and permanent. That said, I don't hope that she dies because I hate the character -- on the contrary, really -- but I think it would have an enormous, interesting impact on the show, the canvas and the story lines for a long time to come. That, and I am a sucker for tragedy! ;) I love it when characters I like/used to like die. What is wrong with me, lol.

Also, re: JS. The show would be crazy to let him go. EJ is a tremendously popular character who consistently garners interest in the fans. To lose both him and AS would be a big hit to Days.

While all this is true, the tone of the show's writing has been different of late. They may see how Bo's exit and John's exit bit them and go big. Hell, it being AS, I can see NBC banking on it.

That video was hard to watch. So much bad information. But the $7 million net worth is correct.

Ok, I read the SOD and she said she told KC right after she made the decision to leave in November. So I'd think the absolute earliest we would start to see any storyline changes based on AS leaving would be April.

Come on Ron, We are counting on YOU !!

You know, this is a perfect example of why their ridiculous taping schedule hurts them. Not only do they tape 4.5 months ahead of airing, but the stories have to be maped out at the very least 6 months out....so in theory unless AS started giving hints as early as the summer that 'next year' (meaning this year) was going to be her last, I could definitely see a bunch of very quick turnarounds in her story particularly around April/May of this year which obviously would have been when the reveal of the affair is due to air, and what looks to be the culmination of the Nick murder coven story too.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking - some sudden shifts in April/May in all Sami-related stories to set up for whatever exit storyline they're going to tell. I now wonder if we will get the Ejami wedding fiasco we've all been expecting. They've filmed all of a May sweeps and we haven't gotten the usual tweets or tweetpics that clue us in that some big event is being taped. That has been surprising to me. Although maybe they're just cracking down??

Ali tweeted on Dec 4 about rehearsals for a big scene and then she tweeted: "We've been in crazy rehearsals, shooting this really &@"/! stuff " The pic she sent the next day showed JS in his usual EJ suit and you couldn't really see what AS was wearing, but her hair was pretty simple.

But those scenes would air in April right? Jason can probably tell us, but I assume they filmed May sweeps from mid-December to mid-January timeframe. So I figured we would've had some "big scenes" or "so fun to have us all together" tweets or some DH pics with various cast members during that timeframe if they were filming an Ejami wedding fiasco. But since we guessed both Ari's christening and WilSon's wedding from tweets like that, maybe they're cracking down? Anyway, it's not like they're obliged to have Ejabby sex come out during an Ejami sweeps wedding either. I just really figured they would, LOL.

Obviously Wendy Williams didn't get the memo that Kate Mansi is the one who has it all.

OK, when I hear the renewal, this will be the very best news I could have possibly hear. With each day, I consider what a Sami-less "Days" will feel and look like, and it gives me a good vibe. Tomsell, along with Broderick, may not be the best writing team we have ever had, but they beat what we have had in a while. Without Sami, there are so many possibilities with this show. There are (or were, if you will) forces that wanted Sami as the constant center, with everyone else playing around her as second fiddle. With the writing team we have now, I think if they are given some liberty, we will see better balance.

Days can have more than just one female lead at a time! Examples: Julie/Laura, Kim/Kayla, Kayla/Jennifer, Marlena/Hope....It happens more often than not that we have multiple leading ladies, and we did this last year with Kristen/Sami, and for me it was a break.

IF they are smart they will play this drama like a violin and have it pitch perfect. Though I have grown to loathe Sami, it would be insane not to give her a larger than life sendoff where it stuns the town and sends her family reeling. Carrie and Belle can come back to support Marlena if Sami is dead, and one or both can stay.

Corday has always been so caught up in Storms, but Madison's Belle was more of a leading lady. Martha Madison took Belle into some very dark, and adult focused places that changed the character from the squeaky clean, Mickey Mouse Club protege persona. Christie was groomed by Reilly to be the next "Marlena", but I always wanted more guile in Carrie. Carrie was written with less fight and gumption than Marlena, and it made no sense because Carrie is Anna's daughter. She should be at least a bit more devious. The Marlena we have when we get a chance to see her is the real Marlena again. Maybe they can do the same with Carrie, and give her all the class she needs, with the strength and bite a leading lady needs.

Otherwise.......Zucker is there, and she can out act Alison 10 to 1. Having Carrie or Belle share the reigns with Nicole as leading ladies, with more stories for the true faces of "Days" like Deidre and Kristian, would make Days a hit in my book.

SONY, NBC, AND CORDAY ASSOCIATES THAT COMB THESE BOARDS: Realize we need one of Marlena's daughters as a lead, and you already have Nicole ready to slip into place. If you spread the love and give us two young leading ladies instead of just one, and give veterans like Deidre Hall, an indisputable legend in the soap world, storylines that matter.....you will come out on top and surprise those who thought everything must revolve around Sami, and which man is getting a piece. We are all tired of it. By quitting, Alison has given us our show back. Now show the audience the legends we love in storylines (Dee, Kristian, Mary Beth..), and promote characters and actresses around Sami's age that we love now, or miss on the canvas, and it will feel like healthy soap . This could really help this show if done correctly.

Okay here is an idea for the big exit, Sami is getting married, I don't care who the groom is for these purposes, the time comes for Sami to say her vows. She collapses and dies from a burst aneurysm, Quick and done. Everyone is shocked. They could do a few flashbacks, hopefully none of her crying, and everyone could move on. I just know this show will be so much better without it being the Sami show.
