Oh, absolutely. But I love when characters are wrong, wrong, wrong from the get-go. Gives them room to grow. I'd much rather hear Hope calling Aiden a jerk than hear everyone and his brother singing the praises of SuperDan. If they'd treated Daniel like the awful horndog he was and quit trying to prop him (and also not hook him up with Chelsea right in the middle of her romance with Nick, because ick and ew), he might not be such a hated character now.

So be a jerk, Aiden. Be a big jerk. You can make it up to us later.
Hmmm, wasn't Bo a big 'ole jerk when him and Hope first met???
....and so begins the Aiden/Hope love story. The same way the Bo/Hope love story began...with them fighting and arguing.
I got a kick seeing the eyebrow, yeah Hope's getting her sass back. Want to see much more of her this year...

Great episode! I thought it would be a nothing placeholder type of ep before tomorrow's big day. But not at all.

I'm still not sure if he is being menacing, or sexy.....what's in his head confuses me.

EJ is truthfully telling Abigail that the sex wasn't about covering anything up. Henderson interrupts with an important call for EJ.

EJ says to Abigail: "Stay here."

Abigail bolts!
Henderson works for Victor Kiriakas.

Henry works for Stefano & E.J.
Harold, that's right. Well I knew his name started with an H but was not Henderson LOL.

LOL if EJ hadn't said it on screen I wouldn't have known. I miss the short lady... Mary? Elianna?

I think it's just a way of saying that you'd otherwise be yelling but you'll talk very sweetly with a ton of intensity because there's a baby in the room. It comes off even more dramatic than yelling imo. Reminds me of some of the J&M scenes when they found out Belle was John's. When the baby was there, they'd all whisper. About major life-changing issues.

(not the best cap of KA, but the best one I could grab of her raised eyebrow.)

Aiden sees Hope's single eyebrow, & raises to the double eyebrow.

I'm sorry but those two don't look like a couple to me. They look like a father having a conversation with his adult daughter. I could see EJ with Hope, heck even Theresa but not Abby.
JS looks much older than his actual age, imo.
He always looks thirties to me,early or mid most of the time but late when he wears his glasses, especially when they are at the end of his nose.Regardless, most of the time I find him extremely handsome. How old does he look to you?

We argued ,I mean discussed that scene for about five or more pages earlier in the thread.I am honestly interested in the reason(s)you love JS in the scenes as well as your opinion of KM/Abby in this episode,if you don't mind sharing.

Oh, I don't remember that. Darn. On a recent Castle episode where a baby is found at the crime scene, the medical examiner insists on holding the baby but goes over her autopsy findings in a sing song voice while facing the baby.

Well yesterday Julie mentioned the Dimera maid was going to take the food from the parlor off the foyer back to the Dimansion for the potluck. I would have loved to have seen some of the Hortons face when they read after the christening they were headed over to the Dimansion. It's like leaving Heaven's Gate to hang out in the Devil's parking lot.

I think EJ is looking a little worse for wear lately. He and Sami have been at each other since mid-November, he's trying to fix DE, then there's the "murder" cover-up, dealing with the coven, especially Gabi is wearing on him and Abby, Jenn, Stefano, who am I forgetting?

JS by the way seems to look younger to me lately. There was a off-set pic with the twins that play Johnny last summer where he looked like he did when he started 8 yrs ago. And the video DH shot at Christmas was golden, with the t-shirt, tattoo and bed head.

Ok... I think soap actors too often fall into over-the-top emotions (see: Suzanne Rogers). It takes real thinking about one's acting, and the talent behind it, to make a different choice. As for James Scott, unless it was the director telling him to (which would then be excellent direction), someone actually thought about the fact that if a baby were in the room, one wouldn't yell or even cry at a moment like that. Baby Arianna is old enough to sense others' emotions. So I think it was an excellent acting choice to do the scene with quiet intensity, and I think JS pulled it off perfectly.

As for Kate Mansi, she definitely has the real tears in the eyes thing down (see: Ali Sweeney), and she's showing that after Abby's strong, intelligent deductions in the DiMera mansion, she's trying to keep her cool in light of the fact that he's telling her why he slept with her. You can see on her face that she's wondering if he's even telling the truth now, but she's hoping he is. To be able to convey that on one's face without any words, not to mention without any OTT emotions, is really excellent acting imo.

Ok, I just skimmed through the discussion you're mentioning. I don't think it was creepy... maybe it's because I have a baby so I can relate to the idea of lowering your voice but knowing the baby doesn't understand a word you're saying anyway. They do react to the tone, though.

But I totally agree the music cues were very weird in this episode.

Also, and I'll just put this out there, I had to wonder if Abby standing there with a baby looking at EJ was foreshadowing in any way. Maybe, maybe not, but kudos to the director for at least putting the idea in our heads.

I actually intended to add something to your post but I decided there is nothing to add,it perfectly describes what I saw today.

The foreshadowing issue was discussed. When the promo came outt I predicted we would be dissecting each scene as to dialogue, facial expression, and body language and would disagree as to what is shown even though we all see the same episode and lo,it has come to pass.
