Phenomenal ending. The music, the editing, the reactions, and the unequaled BB's line delivery. Such pure, awesome soapy goodness.

Note to soap writers: This is what the fans want! Even if we could've seen Nick's return coming a mile away, it doesn't matter. We love this sort of thing. It's less about being suprised, and more about enjoying the feeling of a good storyline hitting all of its beats.

Kudos to the everyone at the show! Days is on fire!
I agree. This cliffhanger has been the best one in years on DOOL. Loved all the reaction shots and the music.

I thought the cliffhanger with the video of Kristen/Eric being showned was a lot better. This wasnīt a bad cliffhanger but since I already know Nick was coming I wasnīt suprise or excited about it. I saw the video of Kristen/Eric coming too but I loved the face expression people were having then more, plus it was more scandalous. I think monday could turn out to be a really good episode though friday wasnīt bad but I didnīt liked it more than other episodes this week.

Just started watching, but I thought EJ was a little "handsy" with Abby when talking to Julie and Hope. His hands rested on her shoulders for quite a while. And he actually rubbed her shoulders. I loved it.
EJ was openly shoulder rubbing Abby the entire time Hope and Julie were talking to them .Its just weird that they did not seem to notice it.I personally like the fact that he cannot keep his hands off Abby but I did think was strange that Hope and Julie were looking directly at them but did not think his behavior was out of the ordinary.

Despite everything EJ done in the past I donīt think people would suspect him of cheating on Samantha.
It would not surprise me to learn that most of Salem is as delusional as Sami.I think Nicole and Rafe would believe it.Probably Eric too.

Jackson "Sonny" Steven Kiriakis was born on the show to Adrienne and Justin and is the youngest of their 4 children. The family moved to Dallas shortly after he was born and he grew up off screen.
Judi is the only actress to play Adrienne.
Are you sure they moved after Sonny was born? I only ask because I remember a scene where Adrienne(?) called to let everyone know she had had the baby. I also recall somebody, maybe Jennifer, telling Jack that Justin and Adrienne had named the baby, Jackson, after him. I just remember how much I loved the look on Jack's face when he found out. Of course, this entire scenario could have just been a part of the rich fantasy world I sometimes constructed as a child. Never as an adult though, nope, never ever.
It was after. Adrienne being pregnant with the baby that would be Sonny was their big "Happily Ever After" moment when they left the show. Up until that point, the only children they had were Alexander (Justin's with Anjelica Deveraux, Jack's step-mother) and the adopted twins Victor & Joseph. A big point of Justin & Adrienne's story was that Adrienne had trouble conceiving (making the point that Anjelica had Justin's child and Adrienne couldn't a BIG story point, as I remember). Finding out that she was carrying a biological child of their own was a way to send them off really happy.
Yep, this.

Also, Jack is the one who received the phone call (from Justin) and then told Jennifer that the baby had been born and was named after him. It was just after Abigail was born and they were living in the cottage that Bill gave them.

(Just recently finished watching these scenes again.)

Man, today was so soapy good. I can't wait for Monday.
Okay, but I'm still confused because my contention was that Sonny was born after they moved out of town, hence the phone call. You're saying that Adrienne had Sonny, while still living in Salem, but they were never shown? I guess they were living in West Salem at the time, that mysterious place where people go when they don't want to be seen. Hey, I think I figured out where Nick has been the last couple of months.

I wonder if West Salem was buried under a snow storm and that's why mamma Hernandez couldn't make it to her granddaughter's christening.

And why wasn't Victor there? Sonny and Will are practically married, you would think the patriarch of the Kiriakis family would be there for his nephew.

The christening highlighted the lack of twenty-somethings in Salem. I hope the show remedies this. They need more Johnsons, Kiriakis and a certain Dimera to populate that demographic.

Well, this episode wrapped up what was another perfect Days week for this fan. There was so much good in it. :yahoo:

I'm still holding my breath and crossing my fingers that the writers keep doing so well with my couple of the hour, Ericole. So far, they've taken their time to hit every beat and not rush them into bed or reduce their relationship to sex. How long has it been since the show did that, especially with Nicole? :cheer:

Lucas is back on my screen and I like him with Sheryl. My hopes are that he falls in love with her and she with him, and then she finds out all this was Kate's plan from the start. I have no doubt that when mama bear Kate thinks Lucas is getting away from her, she'll be more than happy to spill the beans herself.

I want Hope to continue her interactions with the fiery Aidan. Kudos to TPTB for getting someone totally opposite from Bo. All I need now is a moment when he lets his guard down to say to himself, "Damn, she's beautiful."

I enjoyed Marlena but am more than ready for her to have something to do besides talk and worry solely about everyone else and his/her feelings and nothing about herself. I'm ecstatic though that she and Eric are on better terms. :applause:

And last, but certainly not least is Blake Berris. Yes, Nick has committed some fiendish/controversial acts, but the actor is the best in that age group, IMO, and has been sorely missed (by me). I  how the show ended with his stepping inside and turning around to face everyone. I know he has something up his sleeve and will soon have everyone scurrying about and scrambling to get him to keep his mouth shut. Simply Can. Not. Wait. until he flashes those photos in Junior DiMera's face.

So, again, kudos to the writers for another entertaining week in Salem, USA. I had feared that the momentum would slow down once Kristen left, but so far so good.

Anyone else find the fact that Julie's running around Salem wanting to know what's up with Nick's texts while Doug is supposedly "stuck" in Florida beyond ridiculous?? It would've made more sense for Maggie & Brady to have not made it because Maggie was taking Brady to an AA meeting (after all, drunk Brady didn't look like he had a cold), while it was Doug who was feeling under the weather and thus unable to attend.
I just wish they had explained what he was doing in Florida. Are Doug and Julie snowbirds and Julie flew up early for the christening? Does Dougie live there now and he is visiting him? Maybe Robert LeClair retired to Florida and Doug is visiting him. Inquiring minds want to know!

It wasn't because he couldn't keep his hands off her. If it was I would say. It was so he could control her, to keep from running her mouth off. I think Hope and Julie weren't buying that load EJ was selling.

This is correct. Adrienne was pregnant w/ Sonny when they left town. He was mentioned in 2007, when he would've been about 16, but never seen in Salem until Freddie Smith began appearing in 2011.

And yes, Hope was noticing it. It's possible that many of the people who see it another way have FF'd EJ so much in the past that they have a hard time reading his body language.

The way he closed the door, and they panned up and then his line delivery - why is this man so brilliant?

ITA! That scene was AMAZING!

Well, I had to wait until this morning to watch the whole thing, but I really enjoyed it. So many nice nods to continuity and relationships, from Lumi to Jen/Lucas to Eric's first time at St. Luke's since the wedding debacle to Julie's inability to hold her tongue about poor Eric. I liked the gentle reminder of Caroline's memory issues in the context of the story at hand, the "don't shrink me" moment between Eric/Marlena and the hint of an Eric/Fr. Matt discussion to come.

Kami continue to amuse me greatly, from the dismissive, "Amateurs" - "I know, right?" exchange to Kate's "Sometimes I really like you. Sooo disorienting."

I'm even still enjoying the whole Ejabby thing, mostly because I have no expectations. I'm not shipping them together, nor am I rooting against them. I just know that watching EJ try to navigate the rough waters of his escalating cover-up of Sami's bad choices, as well as his own bad choices, is endlessly entertaining to me. I don't mind a good trainwreck, and EJ has made his own bed in this situation, so I rather enjoy seeing him lie in it. Plus, having Sami ask him to handle Abby again? And his trying to say no but then giving in, because Sami asked it? I'm sorry, I know that it annoys a lot of people, but I think it's a very EJ thing to do and it made me laugh out loud at the absurd irony of it all. Give me more of that black humor and I'm in.

And Nick, still alive, still brilliant if demented? Looking for a little payback? I'm so there for that. I just hope he gets therapeutic help after it all comes out and we get to see a Nick who's edgier and broodier than the sweet geek he once was but saner and more rootable than the dark obsessive he's become.

I think the implication was that Brady was in fact drunk and Maggie was taking care of him, but Maggie lied to Hope about the reason in order to protect Brady's privacy. It's not something that Maggie would share frivolously. So the "excuse" made sense.

I'm right there with ya on Doug though lol.

EJ was a little controlling of Abby since he wants to stop her from talking to Hope, but it doesnīt mean he isnīt attractive to her he has been a little controlling with Sami too at least this time he has a good reason for it since he trying to protect Sami from going to jail.

I do not know but I think sometimes people see things they want to see because they ship a couple etc, anyway personally I saw an EJ that tries to control the situation with Abby and maybe he's attracted to but there is no visible yet in the story, but it can come, we all know that a shower scene is on the way :) lol and I do not ship any couple I've enjoyed EJami but it's over now, I'm more Team Sami to kick some ass very son, and especially now when the character soon disappears :)
