I was just responding to the wish for a recast to indicate it is not likely to be granted given that the current actress is trending.KC and NBC appear to be all about ratings and money so they are probably going with the Yogi Berra theory:If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Since AS is leaving, who do you see as being a suitable partner for EJ/JS?
Given the fact that the other couples to trend - Caustin, Rate and Ejami (multiple times) - are either off the show or broken up, I'm not sure TPTB put much stock in trending.
Broken up but no recast so one can always cling to the hope they may reunite.
I'm open to a Caustin recast .... I was always a bit more Austin Peck version anyway. (possibly thanks to his fabulous driving skills);
Their freaking out over keeping Abby quiet has been idiotic from the beginning. Heaven forbid anyone know Gabi and Nick had a fight in HTS. It wasn't even a secret fight, and it in no way implies anyone murdered him. Idk and Idc what their intentions are with EJ's motives, but my gosh that whole thing is dumb.
LOL, well there's that. But since the show settled upon the contrived plot point that Abby is a big issue, I can see why she still is, even with Nick now alive.
They're just all too stupid to live.
If the show is going to sell me the idea that EJ has this brilliant criminal mind, then I am going to need some proof. He can't even cover up an itty bitty accidental murder without getting himself in trouble. I think he complicated the whole thing for the coven.
The only people who believe EJ has a great criminal mind are EJ,Sami,Gabi,Will, and Sonny.Even Kate told Gabi not to depend on EJ that day when she sent Gabi to follow up with Abby,

I agree.
But ole Eej hasn't been a competent criminal is some time.

Thank you!
At this point, all I can hope for is Sami (and Kate) berate EJ for fucking things up for them.
I gotta say I that I don't at all get from EJ that he wants Abby as much as she wants him. I think he hopped on it the first time and found it "lovely," but everything the last two days is indicating he'd much rather not have to deal with her anymore. The way he's acting now, I think he'd be glad to be done with the Abby drama if she'd agree not to talk to Hope. And Abby clearly knows this, which is why she's making her threats.
Even if Abby told Hope the story EJ and the others concocted, what could Hope actually do.Nick has already done his hazy memory routine so it's not likely he could refute EJ and Gabi's version of events especially since he also admitted he tried to manipulate Gabi for his own benefit.Even EJ at his most idiotic could talk his way out of anything Hope and/Roman might confront them about.I think EJ is talking himself into believing he has no choice but to give in to Abby's "blackmail".

Well,I actually understood it before Nick returned. They thought they killed him so they wanted to convince everyone that he voluntarily left Salem as he had planned to do so any subsequent investigation of Nick's disappearance would probably be pointed in the direction of much larger scarier New York City where anything could have happened to him than in the direction of the inhabitants of Salem. It makes zero sense now.Lets face it,it hardly creates a blip on radar if someone disappears in New York City.
I don't remember who brought it up earlier in this thread, but I'd originally meant to mention it when I saw it and then forgot it, but I freaking LOVED how hesitant Kate & Sami were to actually leave one another at the end of the reception. They both acted like "Um... well... Nick's alive so we really don't have any reason to be friendly with one another anymore and... um... I refuse to admit that I've actually grown to like you so... um...." It was like one of those awkward "morning after" moments when you've hooked up the wrong person and now don't quite know what to do. I thought BOTH AS & LK did some REALLY nice work in playing the subtext with that scene.
I really like them too. One of the interesting things I find about Sami and Kate is their lack of girlfriends. I think they enjoyed just hanging out w/ one of the girls and they didn't want to leave but both of their prides aren't going to let them say so. I even enjoy when Gabby is in the mix. I think Kate genuinely likes Gabby and I like the mentoring/bullying thing they have going on with her.

I can see Nick blackmailing EJ with the photos and forcing EJ to exert his influence over the murder coven to do what Nick wants. If that happens, I'm gonna need Kate to give EJ the major side eye and tell Sami and the Tweens they'd be idiots to follow EJ's lead.
Just joined the board and this is my first post. I've been visiting this board for a little while now and have laughed my ass off at some of the "snark" and other entertaining comments that are posted, I love it! But, today I found I had to join, break my silence and give my two cents about the EJ/Abby sl that so many seem to love. To put it simply, I hate it and am looking forward with great anticipation for it to be over and hopefully never revisited again, I find it gross and uncharacteristic for both of the characters, for a lot of reasons. I had been a loyal Days viewer throughout the 80s and 90s, and only came back after a 15 year absence because of the Ejami chemistry and storyline that was going on one day when I turned the show on out of boredom in early 2012. I was drawn in immediately by the so called "chemistry" between the pair. From the start, I found Abigail's character to be utterly boring, annoying and mostly laughable (Little Miss Golden Circle Club/Drama Queen) and I usually FF'd through all her material. From what I've seen of Ej's character so far I just can't understand his pairing with Abby, and I think it's solely for ratings and raised eyebrows, both of which it has received, so unfortunately the scheme has worked which will only fuel the EJ/Abby insanity. I'm very disappointed with where they have taken the Ejami sl since I began to watch Days again. I was hoping for a happy ending for the couple, after catching up on the whole Ejami history that I missed, I really thought a happy ending was fitting. But, I am still holding out for a hero, to somehow save the couple from the brink, and provide that happy ending.

Welcome to the board!!
I too use to like Ejami.
My real love was EJ though.
Now, I just want to light his dippty do head on fire & punch him in the throat.
For the one millionth time - GIVE BC A FREAKIN' CONTRACT!

T Tad Brendan Coughlin
"Tad is part of Salem High's Class of '11. He played baseball with Will and ran track with Will and Chad. He frequently appeared as comic relief for the teen scene, and often acted as the buffer for Kinsey. Other's referred to him by the nickname, "T."
But, when Abigail's cousin, Sonny, came to town, T was less than welcoming. As soon as T learned that Sonny was gay, T began being very mean to Sonny. Will, Chad, and the rest of their friends jumped to Sonny's defense, driving a wedge between them and T. When Will came out, T accused Sonny of "turning Will gay" and punched Sonny. Sonny retaliated with a punch back, then tried to make peace with T. But, T wasn't willing to call a truce. He continued to hate Sonny.
Finally, Will intervened. Will opened up to T and made T see that they're still friends and that Will being gay doesn't change anything between them. T began to act more accepting of Sonny and Will. T is now considering dating Gabi."
Wow thanks for that. I forgot that Will and Sonny are both Abby's cousins. I knew Will was but I guess I forgot about Sonny. it just seemed like she was closer to Will to me. I missed the whole beginning of Wilson and T so I appreciate the update. I do like T and hope he gets more screen time with Gabi b4 she leaves. Is there anyone else right now he could date? I just realized there isn't besides Abigail. Dang we need more 20 something's!

And now I'll have this song in my head for the rest of the day.
All I know is that it's a good time to be an EJ hater. Between Abby (who looks poised to board the train to crazy town and drag EJ on the tracks behind her), Kate (who already doesn't trust him and who is gonna be PISSED for f'ing up her attempted murder) and Sami (who has a history of trying to murder him when she finds out he lied to/hurt her), EJ has some big, crazy, vindictive chicken coming home to roost. I'm soooooooo looking forward to it.
I don't remember who brought it up earlier in this thread, but I'd originally meant to mention it when I saw it and then forgot it, but I freaking LOVED how hesitant Kate & Sami were to actually leave one another at the end of the reception. I thought BOTH AS & LK did some REALLY nice work in playing the subtext with that scene.
I noticed that. And I thought it nice. I like enemies on the show but Kate and Sami feud has gone on far enough. With AS leaving, they may as well make them actual friends.

Unless Sami enters Lucas' orbit again. Can you imagine Kate then? :chee:

There's a reason Sami doesn't have friends... dump her as soon as you can Kate.
I can remember one time Kate was nice to Sami and looked after her kids when there was an emergency meeting she had to make and then Sami was just a total B.....H afterwards. There's No point being friends with people like Sami Brady ( stupid faux breakfast club anyone) . Sami being friendless is the correct state for someone like her.
You know this last scene with Sami alone made me kinda sad. I don't exactly know why...if it was Kate leaving her (their frenemy status was over) or if it was because EJ wasn't there (And he was with you know who).... I just wanted her kids or someone to be there. She looked like she needed a hug!
Or Maybe it's that Ali is really leaving? Many of us grew up with her!

Oh gosh I hadn't thought of that. Another reason why Lumi shouldn't get together.
