Quoting limited to 4 levels deep
Kristen didn't steal EJ. Susan sold him, then she saw the life Kristen had set up for herself with John and the baby and decided she'd rather have that, than the money. The show could have looked through the 53 back-stories they've written for EJ and picked the one that would allow him to feel loyalty toward Kristen, lol.
Actually she wanted both. ;) lol, Susan wasn't really a saint herself. She was perfectly happy to leave Kristen and Marlena in that secret room while she wed John.
Yep. If you really think about it, she was a terrible person, lol. Selling children, stealing husbands, the aforementioned secret room saga, covering up Penelope's murder, trapping Kristen on the island with that creepy dude... Marrying her sisters murderer. lol, Susan was a terrible person. She had everyone fooled with that goofy exterior of hers but her actions don't lie.

I bet they'll just take the Ali schedule adjustments and apply them for Eileen.
Either way, if it means more Kristen/Marlena, good! I'm sick of Marlena being relegated to just listening to Sami and Eric vent.
There was barely any Marlena the first time round.
There wasn't as much as I would have liked, but I wouldn't say "barely any". There were some very good snarky scenes between the two of them, and Marlena's character was integral to the story.
She actually got a good deal more screen time when Kristen was there. I wasn't arguing that point. That is obviously true. However, when she WAS here, Marlena should have had a bigger part considering their history. As it happened she was just a supporting player.

I completely agree with the person who said they should overhaul Kristen and EJ's relationship. If they could sell PM-Austin as LK-Kate's child, I'll go along with Kristen as EJ's substitute mom.
That would've been so much more interesting to me than what they did write for Ejisten. Plus, it would've explained EJ's sudden loyalty to her better.
Why would Elvis necessarily like or feel loyalty to a woman who, along with Stefano, stole him from his birth mother to pass him off as her own? In fact I don't get why they never played that side of Elvis's story.

Susan wasn't the brightest to say the least, and I think they more than showed she regretted making that deal with Stefano to sell him, and that she loved the baby. Kristen knew very well that Susan wanted her baby back, but she didn't care. Certainly Elvis must know these things.

lol, wonder what made them change their mind about the "news" date? Kassie's reveal first? I still think it's not a coincidence that the news was supposed to be released 1 day apart from Ali's news. Whether to bury Ali's departure or b/c they were linked. Or both.

I'm not. A lot people seem to want days void of any kind of trouble maker or villain characters despite the fun they bring to the show. There was two other polls a while back that was neck and neck for "like em or leave em?" those polls were for JJ and Theresa. It's so weird how there are viewers who want absolutely nothing bad to happen to anyone at anytime. Like, that would be so boring.
Or maybe those that don't want her back got tired of the Kristen show, and don't want more of that.
It couldn't be that she can be polarizing, like *every other character with a fanbase* on this show. ;) Yep. I just don't buy that anyone who dislikes a villain only wants happy happy happy all the time. Some of my favorite stories have tons of unhappiness and sadness and villains that don't wear me out, like Kristen did.

I think it's weird that Days has kept a lot of the recent casting news quiet until about a month out, but has decided to announce KDP & ED's news now, before either of them has started shooting. IMO, it would've been better to keep at least ED's return quiet until at least such a point where the show would start to drop hints of Kristen's return, if not even longer. Maybe even keep it a secret until Kristen does pop up.

I was kind of hoping to get back to some sort of a balance with Days again. AS is leaving so it won't be the Days of Sami's lives. For me, Kristen is the type of character that demands a ton of air time. This is one character that is on more than one or two days a week. That was the biggest reason why I am on the fence about her return. I would love to see other characters that are completely in the background get some sort of air time. At this point, I don't think it'll ever happen and that's sad to me.....

I wouldn't make assumptions about anything EJ knows about that time, seeing as he was either raised by Susan, raised by Stefano in New Orleans or raised in boarding schools.

Another thing that bothers me about the sorasing of Elvis and insertion into the DiMera clan, as though he was just born into it.

Yep. I just don't buy that anyone who dislikes a villain only wants happy happy happy all the time. Some of my favorite stories have tons of unhappiness and sadness and villains that don't wear me out, like Kristen did. I don't think that's what was meant by saying some prefer Days to be free of conflict characters. From what I've personally seen and read, there's quite a bit of people who would like to have most of the trouble making and "villain" characters gone because it takes away from characters being happy all the time. I know of two other polls, for two other characters, from that site that echoed that sentiment. I was only commenting on how it wasn't that surprising that the poll results are basically tied for wanting Kristen back and not wanting her back. :-/
I think it's perfectly normal to not want certain characters to return or currently be on canvas because some may not particularly like that character, but there's also those who, inexplicably, want the show to be nearly conflict free.

Hell yes! I wasn't thrilled with the way they wrote Kristen's exit in November (her last week of shows were fantastic but the car crash sucked and I hated that everything was left so unresolved) so hopefully with this final arc we'll be able to get some closure, even if it means Kristen ends up dead in the end.

I dont know about final arc. I could easily see them bringing her on and off when they want to stir things up. We still dont know how long she has signed on for. I bet she signed a short term contract with an option to stay.

The only way I see Kristen dying is if Sami kills her and that would be TOTALLY unacceptable even if she has the best storyline ever on the way out. No, just no.
Other than that I think she will come in for 3-4 months and be gone for 8-12 months then come back until Days is gone or Y&R gives her a contract.
