A role can be 'principal' and still be limited, right? Because that would be a bizarre new major character.

Bev's father? Someone to play against Stephano/Victor? |

Yes, all "principal" means is that a role has at least 5 lines of dialogue in an episode (and the actor will be credited in the on-air credits). There are three types of roles on any TV show: 1. Prinicipal (more than 5 lines of dialogue) 2. Underfive (aka U/5...less than 5 lines of dialogue) 3. Extra (aka Background...no lines/no interaction with principals or U/5s) Edited by Jason47, Feb 1 2014, 11:22 PM.

Hmmm. Didn't think of this. Totally sounds like Bev's dad, but really could be anything. If he's closer to 50 than 70 I would say Bev's dad. If not it could just be a random board member for any of the companies in Salem. |

I wouldn't be opposed to them bringing on Bev's father. |

If it was Bev's dad would the cast call ask for all ethnicities? I think it's just a day player board member. |

Is this the guy who Ej is always talking to on the phone? He works for DE. |

I would love this to be Bev's dad, although I agree, the "all ethnicities" comment makes that questionable. Bev has really been growing on me and I'd love her to have more ties to the show. |

Oh crap, the endless possibilities of yet another adopted child in Salem. :drunk: A left over Maggie "egg baby"? A Stephano super sperm kid? |

Lexi and Nicole don't look like their fathers. Both of them took after their mothers, so it could still be Bev's dad. |

Maybe they're bringing this character on for a vet's story. |

We have the church people supporting Eric's story. We had the Day Gays supporting Will's story. For all we know, this character could support the numours bussiness men and women in Salem; Brady, John, Victor, Stefano, EJ, Lucas and Kate. |

Exactly. All the casting call says is that the character will have more than just a few lines in an episode. There's nothing that says whether this character will just be around for a short stint, be on recurring status, or be on contract. |

Sigh...My ideal scenario would be this role is contract and Kate's getting a new gentleman caller. Alas, I fear the writers only have Stefano in mind for her...if anyone. |

How about Jerry ver Dorn (ex-Clint, OLTL), Walt Willey(ex-Jack, AMC) or Brian Kerwin (ex-Charlie, OLTL). |

I think Jerry Ver Dorn would make a good Bill Horton. |
