I still can't figure out how Sami didn't see Abby's coat and shoes -- those didn't end up in the shower with her and they took up some space on the floor. The Dan/Nicole/Chyka scenes were disappointing. Yes, Dan is involved and that naturally drags down the story, but there could have been some potential for Nicole. She's concerned about Eric, but she was victimized too and in a way that should remind her of other times she's been victimized. They hinted at it with Chyka's comment about seeing her naked -- there's just not enough depth to the scenes.* It could have been a way for Nicole to take action against an abuser (for lack of a better term) when she couldn't as a teenager. Sucks hard that we're probably just going to hear about SuperDan in the aftermath. *I'm not saying Chyka did anything to her while she was unconscious, but she was still naked and defenseless and drugged. There are plenty of similarities with her father's abuse. Pretty lazy writing not to have her address them after she and Eric were rescued. Not that I mind the Ericole scenes in the hospital. :) At the end of yesterday's show, when she took off her coat and shoes, his towel was thrown over the coat and shoes and they pushed it off to the side. Then in today's show, he used a different towel when he left the shower.

Great show today with Ejabby. Days is truly just going for it with their love scenes and I'm so happy about it! They knew some fans would be up in arms and didn't care. They also did the same with Wilson. About time this show starts worrying about ratings vs. catering to specific groups of people. I doubt Sami is going to find out any time soon. But I'm going to enjoy others find out first which I'm sure is going to happen. I get the feeling Will and/or Sonny find out and EJ will blackmail one or both of them that Sami and Gabi will go to prison. I wonder if he'd even throw what Will did to him back in his face or does EJ have no legal cause with that anymore?
I must say that I am so over this Theresa/JJ story. I can't get into it anymore. I feel like it's the same thing every day and it's just not exciting. And Eric is a total bore right now. Him with Nicole isn't helping. And Daniel hogging up more useless screen time. Or was he not on today? I'm confusing yesterday's and today's show with him l think lol. Can't deal anymore with the airtime he does get though.
Sadly, Ejabby and Sami was all that kept my interest today. But they were enough to keep me watching. Holy crap on a cracker! THIS! THIS! THIS! Like 1000x's over! Days needs to be in the business about ratings and not sucking up.

I was very, very bothered by Chyka's comments about that, as I've been bothered about that whole drugging-Nicole scenario since it happened. Yeah, that comment from Chyka really bothered me too, which is why I was happy to see Nicole slap him around.

Ha, if EJ hadn't turned the cold water on himself before he left the shower, Sami would have thought he had been masturbating thinking about her.

Today was pretty meh for me. Chyka/Dikki stuff was just boring. Oooh, Nicole may shoot him, expect we all know she won't. It all just felt like a big stall and not in an entertaining way. I'm glad Stefano and Ricardo are getting involved because maybe they can bring something interesting to the story. Theresa/JJ stuff is just getting repetitive. We get it, they're rivals. Why again am I supposed to care? And don't even get me started on Eric and the monk's neverending dialogue. Who ever thought an endless conversation between a priest and a monk about whether he should try to be a priest or a monk would make for great soap? As for Ejabby, their sex isn't titillating to me, so all I hear is a bunch of bizarre dialogue (apparently Abby is upset that EJ has NOT been double-dipping - um, WTF?). Plus, there is zero consistency in how the characters behave toward each other so I have no clue as to any of their motivations for anything. Maybe it was the Cherrill script, but today was pretty bad all the way around.
Abby was upset that Ejami hasn't been sleeping together because she thought it meant that he just been using her for sex and that he doesn't have feelings for her but it looked like he does when he put that cape on her.
But how does that make any sense? Abby already knows that Ejami has been on the outs. Does she really think he'd be having sex with her if everything was good at home? Was today supposed to be some wake-up call for her that EJ is only with her because of how bad things are with Sami? My only response to that is "well duh, Abby."
I agree it was strange-ish dialouge bc I remembered Abby suspecting something was up with EJ and Sami before cabinsex - and re-watching the scenes from today just now, she says, "I knew you were arguing, but....". I agree Abby was upset bc she was "realizing" EJ was just using her for sex bc he was deprived at home. Like, that this was a specific policy being enforced. I mean, ummm, yeah, of course....but it's no surprise Abby might want to think EJ has less horn-doggish intentions than that, given her talk of "you feel what I feel too," etc. The thing is, EJ broached the subject with her when he said, "listen about what you just heard" or whatever, which indicated to me he knew she would be upset. Either he knew she would be upset 1) bc he knows she is naive and would have her feelings hurt easily (very likely) or 2) the show wants us to think Abby had a good reason for the pissy-offedness. Either way it was strange writing choice. I would think Abby would be pleased EJ was only getting his rocks off with her :P Yeah you'd think, right? But they played it like Abby was offended that EJ wasn't getting any at home. Seriously, WTF? And Sami seems like she wants to make up all of sudden after three months of being pissed. So what brought that on? Oh and EJ was all pissy towards Abby, but then flirty 15 seconds later. Um, okay? The dialogue and interactions were just stupid all the way around. I don't get any of the characters' motivation in this story and they seem to change daily and sometimes within the same show. Other than hot sex scenes, the story itself is a hot mess. And since personally, I don't get off on their sex scenes, all I see is the mess.

I didn't see Abby as offended that he wasn't getting any at home. She knew they had issues but I doubt she gave it much thought and now she realized EJ is solely dipping his pen in her honey pot.

I think the scenes were fairly realistic.
EJabby were almost caught by Sami. That would put a damper on any flirty stuff. Plus Abby overheard that Sami has been freezing EJ out of her bed. Now it's one thing to suspect that, but it's another to hear it straight from the horse's mouth. Her reaction to hearing her had more to do with Abby's own shame of how she's meeting EJ's needs other than his fiancee. EJ was cold at that moment but Sami JUST LEFT, and he was going to miss his son's basketball game too (which the way JS played it, that is what pissed him off actually). I don't think he's specifically trying to be cold to Abigail at the moment, just that seeing Sami obviously put him in a bad mood.
When he comes back with that hilarious outfit, enough time had passed for him to finally relax now. Sami is gone and their secret is still safe. With Abby mortified at that ridiculous outfit, I saw EJ realizing the preposterous clothes he picked and allowing himself the indulgence to watching Abigail be embarrassed by what she is wearing but as a man he appreciates it.
Abby tries to leave and YET AGAIN EJ is the one to call her back and make sure she doesn't leave without hearing his constant "I'm sorry." Abby's reply that she isn't sorry is probably the God honest truth . She enjoyed herself and then some in that shower. And in a way I think that's what makes Abby interesting to me. She doesn't play games. Not really. She's going to tell the truth if she can and the truth is she loves being fucked by EJ. I don't think she's in love with him, I do think she believes she sees a particular side to EJ that most people don't get to see. As for EJ, I don't think he's in love with Abby either but I do think she gets to him in ways he doesn't understand.

Other than hot sex scenes, the story itself is a hot mess. And since personally, I don't get off on their sex scenes, all I see is the mess. meh I wasn't all that horrified. As I said, while it was a little strange for Abby to be pissed, it kind of makes sense for her to wish/think EJ had deeper feelings than just horniness given her growing crush, and to know there was a "no sex pact" maybe struck her in a way to make her upset. And during that first scene with Abby post-shower, Sami had just left right? Or pretty much just left? EJ was probably still a little flustered, nervous, etc - and for Abby to suggest he get her clothes from her car was head-scratch worthy for sure, so I could see him being aghast at that thought. To be in a flirtier mood a few minutes later once more of a calm had settled doesn't seem out of the question to me.
All the Sami bits were verrrry strange - all that jibber jabbar with the security guard, and her OTT delivery, and all this insistence on signing contracts, etc. - that was a little all over the place.

It makes me wonder how far ahead the actors get to see the scripts. I wonder if they even know what plot they are getting to. Maybe that's why their actions are so confusing at times. They don't even know themselves.
To me when EJ told Abby to shut the door, it looked dark - like bad EJ. Then she started feeling sorry for herself and then he gets happy, smiley in the shower. Who was that grinning EJ. It was all really strange to me. And as far as km, she looked like she was about to crack up laughing when they heard Sami. Did she lose her composure, or was she supposed to be giddy Sami was standing outside. (I just kept thinking she won't be laughing when Sami eventually finds out and gives her a beat down!)
I missed the last 15 minutes do I don't know how the acting was after that, but from reading the recap, it sounded confusing as well.

Thats now how I read it... I didn't see an upset Abby. More like she now understood his behaviour. I don't think Abby particularly care,.. but I do think she now understand his thinking more. Overall I think its a good thing. And I don't think it will stop her. EJ not having sex with Sami is just one of the reasons why it went so far between the two. Abby would probably be thanking Sami for her neglecting him... LOL Then she would probably never had taste of EJ.

Ok, in the worlds most painful fight scene (and I mean painful for the audience), Nicole would like to just shoot Chyka. Only if she misses and hits Daniel.
The security guard is obviously an Ejabby fan and is taking his precious time trying to find the correct key. Bless Carl's little heart.Best security person ever.I hope he apologizes to EJ for keeping Sami waiting because he was unable to find the correct key right away then EJ makes him head of security with a hefty raise and bonus.

Hahaha Abby! Your inexperience is showing. " making love" ? The word you are looking for is fucking. And EJ- I'll buy a lot from you but - blowing off your son to flirt with your Lolita isn't it. I don't know who is writing this shit but all I see is a pod EJ.
The worst part is these winter storms is inflating ratings. TIIC are going to start believing the ga is buying what they're selling.
It's officially off the dvr for now.
Thank you Winter Weather Watch 2014 for all of your help with the ratings! This DAYS fan is grateful.
They're not that inflated. Days viewership increased less in the first 3 weeks of 2014 than in the first 3 weeks of 2013. Last year the first 3 weeks brought 581,000 new viewers while this year they only brought in 417,000 even with the polar vortex. (per SON # reported by zap2it)
I'm aware of that, but I'm also aware that they aren't awful either. So if people want to blame the snow on DAYS maintaining its viewership, I'll thank the winter weather as part of that delusion. While I appreciate being called deluded - who wouldn't? I do believe that the increases are due in part to many stuck at home. If these ratings hold for more than a month - then I will be proven wrong. Although the freakish spike in ratings across all soaps seems like a pretty big coincidence. Just can't imagine what they all have in common.

I'm hoping that Theresa will show up to JJs hearing and tell the judge that she remembers that she and JJ had sex the night she ODed and he left her on the couch dying. She could pretend she doesn't remember him bringing or doing drugs, but it would be enough to give JJ and JenJen a heart attack. I would have a heart attack too if my seventeen/eighteen year old son was going to prison especially after hearing about cousin Nick's prison experience.

Hmm. I wonder why it was spoiled that Sami comes home to the shock of her life?
I thought it seemed early for that cat to be let out just yet. Looks like we will be waiting on the reveal a little while longer. Which makes more sense anyway I guess.
