I think KM is fine, and I think she actually does well when she has real material, but I can't really compare her to AS or AZ. She hasn't had anything like the material they've had and this kind of story isn't really giving it to her at this point yet either. My guess is that she'd be somewhere between AZ and AS, but my other guess is that we'll never really know. I agree. Kate Mansi is fine. And to me , she has potential of a Shelley Hennig. Very likable. They improved as the years went by.Shelley was very strong by the end of her run, IMO.
Right now, to me BB and AZ are the most compelling to watch. I also like Casey Moss, And think his has huge potential. And in the younger actress category, there hasn't been a compelling actress to watch since Rachel Melvin left. I think Jen Lilley might have the chops but the writing is not favoring her, so far.

That Hope and Ciara gif just shows one of Hope's winning parenting methods — treats your daughter like she's a cute character in a show.

I do adore Ciara! Oh and JJ is coming along. He needs more time with Bev. Are we using Jev? Or something else?

That Hope and Ciara gif just shows one of Hope's winning parenting methods — treats your daughter like she's a cute character in a show. Not the right thread for this, but since you commented on this, a single response isn't taking the entire thread off topic. So here goes:
There was nothing wrong with Hope telling Ciara to be quiet the way she did. Aiden & Chase were barely out the door before Ciara made her comment. Hope gives her daughter a "you know better than that" look after she shushed her. The scene cuts after that, so we don't actually know what happened between Hope & Ciara for those 20 minutes they had to wait for Father Louis to arrive. (Of course, it's not like Hope didn't kinda agree with her daughter about disliking Chase (or in Hope's case, Aiden).)

Not sure where to put this. I know we all commented on the Ejabby shower scene. But I found it very interesting that EJ couldn't pick out a nicer outfit for her to have on when she left (her walk of shame?) He said they just had a modeling shoot and that's all they had? Hooker attire? He could have really given a ---- how she looked. He dressed her like a ---- sure he said he would like to see her in that again. What, as his call girl? Not to mention he was telling her to hurry up. If he "cared" about her he wouldn't have let her walk out in the "cold" with wet hair and an open top. Just saying.

Personally, I think alot of his fanboying about AS is probably because of her being pretty well known. He may think that's better for his career if he's on screen with her. That's strictly my opinion.
I honestly think he likes her aside from all that as well & she seemed to like him as well. She's just not quite as giddy as he is.
I think it's a combination of admiration and knowing where his bread is going to get the most butter which almost go hand in hand. Going back to those quotes where he talks about liking to kiss AS and chemistry is just a polite term. I'm sure James knows what to say to get a reaction. It's still ADORABLE!
I definitely believe that both Ali and James genuinely likes each other. They seem to have a good time working together. I don't wish to imply, but they even got some spark offstage. I know that Ali has husband and children, and that James got a beautiful girlfriend, but I wouldn't be chocked if these two were to have an affair in real life. Due to the chemistry. Regarding screen partners, I think actors in general try to make it work no matter what story they have to take part in. But they're people, too, so certainly they got their favourites. So here it's up to their professionalism to try and not make it show too much. Their job is to sell a story somebody else's written. Sometimes the story's believable, sometimes it's less believable. It doesn't have to be the actors' fault, often enough they work their asses off to make it work. To put it plain, the story can be outright terrible, which is reason enough for most viewers not to buy it. I think James' acting has been flailing since the tail end of 2008. He's had some great moments, some stretches of consistency but a lot of weak points since then. IMO it's not acting partners but more writing and direction. Since then, they don't know what to do with him or who he is. I think for an actor they end up filling in the blanks and it gets lost in translation.
I agree, as far as sexual/romantic/friendship chemistry, imo it's the best with Alison Sweeney. You can see it in their interviews together. There's something about them that just pops. The only other person I could say that about was with Renee Jones.
People have hit it on the head, Kate Mansi just doesn't have the screen presence to be a major character. Her smirks and smugness annoy me as much as it did when Galen was doing it. She's fine when she's in scenes with Jen, it seems like they have a natural mother/daughter chemistry. I have yet to be blown away by her, not when Jack returned and not with the Austin s/l.

Probably so. and he didn't. And then he had to tell her he didn't mind seeing her in it again sometime and threw in that "IF" comment, she whined enough so she got what she wanted. lol EJ's permissiveness is his downfall.

It's the character of Abigail that has nothing of interest for me. She's a boring, whiny, little girl. She's spent most of her time on screen whining abot JJ getting in trouble, the idea that Chad lied...not even to her mind you...and Cameron Didnt stay & fight for her or whatever. I'm really not even sure because IT BORED ME SO.
Now, the writers want me to believe she's a character that EJ DiMera would give two shits about?? Someone that would actually LIE about her whereabouts or who she's been doing?? I'm sorry. It doesn't translate for me and I blame the writers for failing to write the character of Abigail with any layers prior to this (and no, writing her for a couple of months chasing Austin & then switching her back to the same goody goody doesn't count for me) and now all the sudden she's suppose to be this young sexually charged woman willing to do anything to be with her man.....NO.JUST NO.

Quoting limited to 4 levels deep

I haven't cared for the character of Abby for a long time. The writing for her coupled with *some* (I'm not blaming her for all) of KM's acting choices have made her come off like a self-righteous, judgemental shrew.
Now, I'm just supposed to buy that she is someone who would captivate EJ? Let alone be okay with fucking him despite her hand wringing over Chad's lie for the past 2 months? I just can't.
You can compartmentalize it for sure and those who like the characters of Abby/EJ together it's great but how the hell did she get from point A to point B? I'm not seeing it and it's stupid.
Add to that how EJ got from point A to point B and it's just ridiculous.

To be completely frank, while I know the actors certainly must have a preference of who they play scenes with, I really couldn't care less about their opinion on the topic. They're paid to craft characters and bring a writer's words to life on the screen. If they have a preference of a screen partner, I, as a viewer, should never be aware of it.
When it becomes obvious that an actor has a preference, you get situations like with Tony Geary over on GH and his tendency to phone in scenes with those who aren't on his "I wanna play with these people" list. Some of the demands he's rumored to have made have gridlocked stories involving Luke for years now, and his personal take on Luke the character has pretty much ruined any chance of me caring at all about him. No thank you.
So basically, I don't really care who James Scott's preferred acting partners are. He's paid to make sure I never know, and it's really for the best that way.

The thing they haven't managed to find are the great beauties that Julie, Marlena, Hope, Anna, etc. from back in the day. Kinda like the women from the James Bond films. Maybe it's a glamor thing.

IDK why she just didn't go down in her wet clothes to her car and change into her spare clothes she had there. She just wanted to see if EJ would jump for her. Walk across a building past people in wet clothes, out into the cold winter air to her car in the parking lot, collect clothes and come back into the building, past those people again so she can change into them. That wouldn't attract the attention she was trying to avoid at all.
That's likely all he had to choose from since those clothes were left behind, for obvious reasons. And at least she had a dry skirt to wear and could zip up the coat over the top until she got home where she could change in a warm place. Driving home in a wet dress in the winter is a terrible idea

It's not more conspicuous than that epic walk of shame she did with her clothes in a plastic bag. I'm still laughing that she didn't just toss the dress OUT of the shower to begin with.

If she had tossed the dress out of the shower then Sami would have saw the dress that's why the dress remained in the shower. LMFAO!
