Come on now. EJ read the book. They're practically BFFs with so much in common.

Wasn't it a pretty thick book? $10 says she uses it to stand on next time they make out.

No need to stand on the book.

Actually as I pointed out in today's episode, Alison and Kate were the same height standing next to each other.

If standing on a book helps, can we have Sami stand on a dictionary or encyclopedia or something to bring her brain back?
Too far from her brain. Best bet is to hit her directly on the head with it.

Ali can stand on a book, too then. They've never felt the need to stand her on anything though. It's just a joke.

Okay, now. This is undeniably adorable. Allow me a moment to be sappy and gush about Abby and Jennifer tip toeing to their men.

And look at those tiny little Barbie feet.

It seems the short jokes and pedophia comments are right up there with the rape mentions. I wonder if they eventually will get similar treatment.

I saw this the other day and was wondering if this was coincidence or if they are trying for a spin on Jack N' Jen. What do you think?

TomSell want people to forget about Jack and Jennifer. More likely they just wanted a shot of KM's perfect dancing toned legs and her ability to stay on her toes without her legs shaking.

After all, I don't think they want to compare EJabby to Caustin, when Carrie used to stand on that same cabin step to kiss Austin.

Maybe if it's still an issue in a few years. ;) Pedophilia comments have actually been treated like that for years. Short jokes never will be because it's not exactly a hot button issue. If you have a problem with the way things are being moderated, take it up in the appropriate way per our rules.

This. Abby puts out and EJ is hard up and takes it. You nailed it.

There is no rhyme or reason behind this storyline except for shock factor. I see no chemistry either since I find this sex couple so offensive that it literally makes me cringe.

I expect nothing else from these writers. There is no substance to their storylines. We'll see what they'll do with Ericole. My bet is that they'll screw that one too because that's what they do to any storyline that captures the viewers' interest. Time will only tell.

Like, I get what everybody is saying with the Ejabby pairing coming out of nowhere...

But Scott and Mansi are so electric together. I am so very heartbroken that we are probably returning to Ejami all day er'y day.

I finally started caring about EJ, I don't want to start hating him.

(cries like Johnny in the Pub today when told Abby can't help with cupcakes)

Way back earlier in this thread, I mentioned the scene from 2006 when Sami had wet hair and was scantily clad with a sheer cover-up over colored bathingsuit bra, showing bare midriff (appropriate because it was the summer, right after swimming and then encountering a broken shower), and she dashed next door to borrow a wrench to fix the shower, and she met EJ for the first time, and he answered his door dressed only in a towel, and his towel falls off.

I mentioned the recent EJabby post-shower-sex scene when Abby has damp hair she is somewhat tackily dressed in the model's clothes with the colored bra and the bare midriff. And of course, earlier in the same episode, we'd seen him in a towel and then losing the towel when they began kissing.

I commented that although the circumstances were drastically different, the *VISUAL* was similar -- in that one reminded me of the other. In both cases the women's torsos were somewhat revealed, their bras were colored, their overblouse didn't cover them, and their hair was damp. And in both cases, EJ appeared to be somewhat entertained to see the women dressed that way.

I commented that one episode appeared to be a "reflection" of the other ... but the theory of "Reflections" is that scenes often have common elements (visuals, stances, colors, or situations) -- yet at the same time the reflection is not exact -- and the reality of the two actual episodes is often quite different, and sometimes distorted, or even opposite.

There were replies from other DR members -- with other examples of other completely different episodes with other characters -- that appeared to be reflections.

I don't want to quote the entire conversation -- but it's on page 15-16 of this thread.

Here is a newer reply to that earlier conversation:
S loves EJ

Maybe they took inspiration from EJ sniffing the hanky when they had him sniff Taylor's scarf, but I don't think the writers thought of the other scenes when they had Sami almost catching Ejabby in the shower. There are probably new writers by now or they can't remember every scene that has happened in the past. I just think it's just bound to happen sooner or later in soaps that a scene is similar to another scene. It's not the same as recycling old storylines. Anyway Sami not wearing much and having wet hair the first time she met Ej ... and Abby looking similar ... is just a coincidence. there are totally different situations, and I don't think neither looked tacky.

I see what you're saying ... I suppose that the example I gave
(Sami borrowing wrench from EJ ... vs. EJ dressing Abby post-shower-sex) ...
-- it's possible that the visual similarity have been co-incidental -- and not intended by the writers.
Yet, for whatever reason, the visual struck me. (even if it was an unintentional reflection).

Even if that example was coincidental,
there are some "Reflections" that occur in soaps -- when the writers and/or directors *intentionally* do these things.

Yeah, I don't think the show would've wanted to reflect Caustin. That wouldn't make sense to me. I dunno.

Editing later to add: I just re-read what you said. Wow I didn't know that Carrie had stood on the same cabin step to kiss Austin! Ha!
Well with EJabby case, it may have been a coincidental unintentional reflection. Or perhaps an oldtimer crew member simply remembered that Carrie had found this convenient, and suggested that Abby try this -- for convenience. But not as an attempt to reflect the Caustin relationship. I did think that Kate Mansi chose to act this as portraying Abby choosing to be the taller aggressor in the situation.

But I *do* think that the show is *intentionally* writing and/or directing Ejabby as a reflection of Jack and Jennifer -- in my opinion. There are some directors active NOW that were active back in the Jack and Jen heyday.

In my *opinion*, the image showing the similarity of Jack/Jen shower legs vs EJabby shower legs ... is *not* a coincidence.

Edit to clarify:
I'm *not* saying that EJabby are Jack/Jen! Far from it. Remember that reflections are often distortions.

Nah. Ejabby makes it clear that no good can come from reading that book.
I can't wait till Daniel reads Jack's book.
I wonder what affect it would have on Sami if she read the book.
She's still struggling with "Goodnight Moon". :blulaugh:

Nananana7- great points and I think I agree with a lot of it. It's felt to me at least that they are doing it intentionally with the ejami stuff kind of like a transition. I realize that doesn't make sense. I wish I could explain it better. I think shows do that all that time. I felt like Ej putting Lucas in the freezer truck was a sort of homage to the Will doll. Of course there are tropes that will be duplicated but sometimes I think there's an intent behind some of it even if it's loose. We shall see where they are headed with all of this. It's like the 50 Shades thing. No they aren't going to show the kind of kink that was in that book (even tho they could allude to it, think Passions) but from what I've see so far it seems are going for a same feeling or theme that was present in the book.

I don't think anything this show does is a coincidence....Emilio, I mean, Ben is arriving in Salem in about 2 weeks...he could play the piano, or any other instrument, but we already know he plays the guitar and sings ;)

Oh and going back to the book....the girl needs no book people...she climbed Ej like a tree in that shower...wet/soapy and all....

Obvi, Jack Jr. will seduce Samanther at the Green Mountain Lodge. They will end the night smoking joints with Rory, using the title page from Jack's book.
LOL I didn't think of that scenario, that's a good one.

Is it just me or does anybody else have the urge to correct people's"moot point" to moo point?

I mean, it's like a cows opinion. It doesn't matter.Its moo.

I also enjoy another version, the "mute point." It doesn't matter because no one can hear it.

While we're at it, why don't we give the book to Hope. DC's the same height as PR, and they're a good 7-8" (4-5" in heels) shorter than Kristian. ;)

(IMDB also needs to update DC's page to add his Days credit to his filmography. lol.)
