Going back to the original spoiler on this thread (way back 26 pages ago), today's scenes did not pan out. I didn't get Abby "hoping" EJ would make a move. She kept trying to leave. Maybe tomorrow will be different. If the kids weren't in the mansion, I'd say EJ was hoping she'd pounce on him.

And TS, I didn't see any fighting attraction either unless you call wiping flour from her face doing that.

EJ isn't going to be redeemed at all He doesn't need to be redeemed. He is a Dimera and always will be. If Abby wants him (which I hope - and he wants her) then she will have to accept EJ. I think she could do that. She seems to be able to look the other way or see his side of things. Its not like EJ does things for no reason. He always have a reason for crimes (as he sees it).

She seems to be able to look the other way or see his side of things. Its not like EJ does things for no reason. He always have a reason for crimes (as he sees it). I think it will be more Jack/Jen... Jen expecting more but loving less. Jack was never the hero or the great and wonderful guy, Jack was the screw up who always did something stupid. Jen didn't love him anyway, she wanted more but loved him no matter what.
Sami accepts and says two can play that game. Nicole rolled over and thought, argue and you lose him.
Kayla & Jen, had, HAD, something in common they had two, into something stupid guys, they wanted better in their man, but loved them no mater what. Mind you they pissed off their wives, plenty of times.

Looking the other way just makes her look weak. They'll have to flesh out Abby more. True, and Nicole looked weak, and I liked them together. But she withered to him, and I didn't like that.

Not to mention how besotted and bemused he looked when he wiped the flour off her cheek. If I were to watch this on mute, EJ sent out all the WRONG signals.

I didn't see "fighting attraction" from either of them though. Yeah, they both seemed to get it was over. Abby was hurt, but wasn't being delusional. And EJ felt bad he was hurting her, but was pretty clear about what he wanted. It seemed pretty non-dramatic which makes sense given the shallowness of their relationship. I have a feeling Abby's going to amp up the dramatics tomorrow though.

For clarity's sake, I'm not sure if they are going for JnJ, I wondered about it. I think it's still too early and things are coincidental. IMO they are going more for 50 Shades than anything. Also, if they are, it doesn't mean they are doing a good job, sometimes things don't translate well. I've seen Ericole compared to The Thornbirds and the only similarity I see is that Eric is a priest. If they are going for Thornbirds imo they missed the mark but perhaps they weren't going for that at all. Ejabby might not be any deeper than just sex in the afternoon. Just to throw it out there, I also can see how they would want to redeem EJ :x since they have a very hard time figuring out what to do with him.
I don't know anything about 50 shades or Thornbirds, so I can't comment on that. I could see them trying to redeem EJ, too, and I could also see them making him even darker. I agree that it's too soon to say what the plan is.
They constantly want to redeem EJ without actually redeeming EJ. They want him to suddenly be good without having him really address the things he's done. His "redemptions" never work because he still walks around like an entitled asshole daring his former victims to even vaguely reference that he's ever been less than perfect. He could never do a bad thing again and constantly walk around performing heroic acts all over Salem, and he still wouldn't be redeemed. These conversations always turn into a thing about Sami, but the thing is Sami is far from his only victim and most of his other victims are expected to walk around town and treat him kindly despite the things he's done (shooting them, stealing their kidneys, blowing up their cars, having them falsely imprisoned, etc.). EJ is never going to be redeemed because there is no way they're ever going to actually address his past. It's not that it needs to be constantly thrown in his face. It just needs to be dealt with and there needs to be a certain amount of admission and remorse for him to actually be redeemed. If they didn't bother to do that for him to hook him up with Sami, there's no way they'll do it to hook him up with Abby. All that t say, I don't think they're going to "try" to redeem him. If they want him redeemed, they're going to pretend like he is without writing it just like they have every other time. While I don't think it's going to happen (case in point - Adrienne is suddenly cool with EJ, even though he attempted to kill multiple members of her family, because he liked Jack's book), but I wouldn't be surprised if they put some effort into redeeming EJ for some of his crimes, the way they redeemed Nicole for framing Jennifer.

Now I do think there was attraction but only at the flour moment when EJ forgot he's not supposed to touch her and she might have misunderstood what he was doing.
