Poor Nikki - first stepmother to Sami's children and potentially now Kristen's.

yeah Ericole will be blissfully happy until Kristen returns with "Erica" or Eric Jr. Tomlin is nothing if not predictable.

I don't think it will be blissful for them at all right away. It sounds like they will make a go of it, but Marlena, Roman, Sami and Brady may have something to say about it...among others. I think the fact that he will choose Nicole will cause a lot of issues for peeps who will not sit by quietly and just let it happen. Then maybe by summer it will be better and then bam...Kristen shows up. I just don't want to be disappointed by the wait.

Can't wait to see what happens with my favorite couple. They are the only reason that I still watch the show. And I'm happy that the writers skipped the insta-route with them and gave them a slow-burn, giving them the opportunity to build a real emotional connection. As for Eric, I've loved every minute of his soul-searching because he is tormented by the decision that he has to make. And I love Nicole's transformation: no longer is she the scheming inteloper trying to steal a man's attention from another woman. I can't wait to see Eric's choice because I know that Greg will put a perfect spin on his performance, and of course, Ari will rise to the occasion and shine. Love these two together. As for Daniel, there's absolutely nothing that he could ever do to make me wish him on Nicole. Nada. Nothing. Zilch. Only words that I have for him are: GO AWAY. Don't know why the writers are so gung-ho on throwing Dr D in Nicole's story for now. When the writers were scripting their so-called "greatest love of all Dannifer story" they couldn't wait to through Nicole under the bus, and on top of that, they ruined Jack/Jennifer's story. Now that they've seen the light about Dannifer (I guess, don't know, don't care) and their story has hit the skids, they want to shove Daniel up Nicole/Eric's ass everyday. Take a hike buddy. You ain't wanted or needed. Go away. Save the world. Save the Earth. Do whatever you want doc. Just get out of Ericole's story. (Rant over) So, I'm pumped to see what Eric's choice is and I'm leaning with it being Nicole.

He will choose Nicole and they will be happy for a while, until Kristen returns this summer with his baby!! Yay. Ewww. The thought of that old cunt having his baby disgusts me. :x

Can he choose to convert to Baptism or something where he can be a reverend and marry Nicole? Well, I know a former Catholic nun who is now an episcopal priest with a husband and three kids. So, yes, other denominations would welcome Eric. And perhaps he could join one that would allow him to perform his nephew's marriage ceremony.

Nicole and Daniel are OK as friends only because Zucker would have chemistry with a phone book. Oh, wait ...

It's obvious that they don't need him, but he who is inserted into story after story has none of his own. Wonder why that is? Oh yeah, he's boring and useless.

It's obvious that they don't need him, but he who is inserted into story after story has none of his own. Wonder why that is? Oh yeah, he's boring and useless. I feel the opposite. I want Dan to remain in this story, and I want him to fall hopelessly in love with Nicole. If Eric really wants Nicole, I want to see him fight for her. So far Nicole has come too easily to him. She is the one that was shown to be definitely in love with him during this so called slow build relationship. She also has helped him out a lot, and still is doing so. He was very sure that the church was for him and that he was not in love with Nicole for a long time. Then came the day that he was absolutely horrid to her. He then finds out that Kristen was the guilty one and wanted Nicole's forgiveness. It didn't take very long for him to get it either. I also think they spent too much time talking about Eric's love for the church and his love of being a priest, that when it came time for him to express his love for Nicole, I was just was not feeling it.
He chooses Nicole but, I can see this relationship being pretty dull unless they change Eric's personality a little bit. I do think he is a bit boring.

But if Eric has to fight for Nicole's love (which is a bit of a strange detour at this point) could it be Brady instead (or even the man with initials for a name) rather than Dr Dan.
Eric can choose the church and Nicole can get reinvolved with Brady helping him get over his latest bout of addiction (or transferring from booze addiction to sex addiction). And Eric can be super jealous but mask his jealousy as concern that Nicole is going to be "hurt" by Brady.
He can then fight to win her back from Brady.

After all that has happened I would not want her to get involved with Brady again. Brady doesn't want help anyway. He seems happy enough to wallow in self pity and drink himself senseless. I suppose they are keeping him in that state until Kristen comes back. I want Nicole's time to be better spent. As for Eric fighting for her, it would all depend on whether or not Nicole decides to be with him. There will be no need to fight for her if he has already got her.

I totally agree! This has become a bore. God help us if Nicole turns to dan. I'm gonna hurl. And be more pissed than I am at EJ and Abby right now. She has held out this long. If the writers have her fall for Dan, I'm done. It would be such an insult to the characters and story. C'mon show us a real love. First love that has endured even thru the shit she has been thru. She deserves a love story. Nicole needs a man who loves her for who she is! C'mon days writers, give us a love story not lust story like we get with Abby/EJ. I know I'm being a bit repetitive but I'm tired of lust. I need romance.

Nicole is not the same woman she was 2 years ago, and it's because of Eric!! I came back to DAYS because of ERICOLE's love story, and hopefully the writers know how special this pair is!! I can't wait for this week...as I have waited over 13 years!!! COME HOME AND GET YOUR WOMAN, ERIC!!

I love Ericole, but the insertion of Dr. Monchichi the Great and Holy Savior of the World into their story has been a real killjoy. At least for me.
