Julie is so much more entertaing as the town busybody than Maggie . And a more logical choice given the history of the character.
Adrienne too

today's episode was directed by Herb Stein from a script written by David Cherrill. As usual, Cherrill is a study in extremes -- either really really good or really really awful. Today was really really good imo

I really like how petulant Abigail was there at the end. If she had acted all self-sacrificing and mature about it, that wouldn't have rung nearly as true. Abigail may be a fundamentally decent person, but she's done wrong and she's grown very attached to an attached man. She acted like a twenty something getting rejected.

I wouldn't say petulant, but EJ is trying to dump her and he won't just let her leave with some pride intact. And she is clearly trying to just get out that door.

I know he's trying to be nice about it and has some tender feelings for her (I like that), but she gets it and she wants to leave. No kind words is gonna magically make this experience any less awful for Abby. Love how she broke it down for him.

Today is also the first time we will have Guy Willson and Deidre Hall in scenes with each other.
That's the reason I bothered to watch today. Nice scenes but kind of boring and throw away.

Only other thing I enjoyed was watching Nick torment Kate. I want that to go on FOREVER :blulaugh:

Brady continues to be the biggest @ss in Salem I see :moon: I'm surprised he didn't clock that priest. It wouldn't have phased me a bit.

Watching freakishly hyper Sami just makes me really REALLY REALLY happy she's leaving. Can't come soon enough.

Went back and watched the first half I missed...

Great Ejami scenes - loved the "we're never going to look like anyone else we know, but we'll find a way to color inside our own lines" dialogue. I'm all for the developments today, but why the sudden change of heart for Sami after three months? The whiplash pains me.

Loved the NuWillena. It was sweet that Marlena was happy that Sonny loves Will so much, but honestly, I wish she would've shown more concern about her 20-year-old grandson marrying his first boyfriend.

I love Gabi in her cluelessness. Somebody has to play Chrissy to Sonny's Janet and Will's Jack. Really, it works well from a storyline standpoint and CB does well playing her that way. I mean, sometimes I want to bang her head against the wall, but it's all good.

Love Julie in this role as Aunt Blabby. I'd take 100 scenes of her playing busybody over one more scene of Maggie's meddling.

I don't get why Marlena is in favor of a Wilson marriage. I feel like it's just Days wanting to push the story ahead. Marlena's usually more 'don't rush into things', and how old is Will, anyway?
Isn't Will about twenty-one? And is it a good idea to marry the first and only boyfriend you've ever had? I would really have a problem if my child wanted to get married at twenty-one years old.......and he might be even younger.
I think Will is at least 21 since they have shown him drinking on multiple occasions. He was also 20 last year when Ari was born. And we all know that he was supposed to have a birthday recently, even if it was the totally wrong date!

If my grandson or son had an amazing guy like Sonny, who loves him and his daughter, I would tell him to hold on with 2 hands and never let go! Life is way too short!!
