One thing I find realistic about the Nick story is that they are playing Gabi like a typical abuse victim. It's why I can't completely hate her. I know people who've been in relationship like Nabi. Nick came into her life when she was incredibly vulnerable and took advantage of it. She was 21, and he was very close to his 30s. He made sure her entire life revolved around him and fed her a fantasy. Even after she killed him, Gabi still had moments of "I wish super smart Nick could help me with this. He always 'helped' me".
You're right, I just hope the show actually names it. They should use "abuse" over and over again. Nick is a controlling psychopath and people around him should recognize that. He's conditioned Gabi to rely on him and to defer to his superior judgment. He's made decisions for her throughout their relationship and acted as her "protector," so she's feeling lost now.

About Gabi's age, I think when they met she was 19 the most. When she gave birth to Ari she was listed as being 20.

So EJ never answered Abigail's question if he could ever be with a woman like her...I foresee another encounter when he actually answers it (please say yes, please say yes, please say yes -- I know, wishful thinking).

This Eric and Nicole scene is either the most dragged out mess I've ever seen or I'm just too invested into this couple. Or both.

Nicole, you either tell this man about the evidence, or jump on his bones!!! RIGHT NOW!!! That's the third time you're telling him you must say something before a commercial break! ENOUGH!

Gabi is guilty of many crimes..namely the deaths of Jack and Madison. She hired the man who caused all of that shit. She deserves whatever comes her way. Get her, Nick!

Will and Gabi graduated HS in 2011 as 18 year olds. So yeah, she met him at 19, had Ari at 20 and is now 21. I messed up.

Nick (and his immediate family) also has a history of mental health issues. Why are people taking Nick's word? Jessica and Marie should send him to a facility to work through his issues. Although that isn't dramatic. Nick will probably be killed for real, while Gabi goes to jail for either Melanie or really killing Nick. If he does die, I hope it's by Gabi's hands. She deserves to end him after everything he did to her.

I agree with you.

I could've just posted a "like" --
but I wanted to be clear that I agree with what you said,
and I understand what Gabi is going through,
but I *HATE* Nick doing this to her.
I'm just seeing all of this "DUMB GABI" stuff everywhere, here and on Twitter. I agree she can be dim in some areas, I don't really fault Nick against her. I wish some of the characters would acknowledge her abuse instead of rolling their eyes at her.
That's also realistic. Family, friends and acquaintances see the abused woman as weak and an idiot. Very few people recognize the effect of the control.

Gabi didn't kill Madison and Jack. Andrew did. Gabi may have hired him to pretend stalk Mel, but HE kidnapped Melanie and HE blew up Salem. Gabi just kept quite about it.

Sure she kept quiet about it..she hired the man who did all of that and that is a CRIME. She needs to pay for it. But like most in Salem, she won't LOL

I'm sad because I loved Nick 1.0. His relationship with Chelsea, his friendship with Shawn, Stephanie and Max. I also kinda enjoyed the beginning weeks of Nabi. They were really cute up until the pregnancy.

Nicole is STARTING to explain to Eric about how she and Daniel found out about the doctor's identity. The story is just beginning to be told... and we're at another commercial break.

Oh God.

Someone needs to tell Rafe about Nick. He needs to stop dallying with the boring lady and start saving his little sister before it's too late.

Gabi, desperate for a man (Chad), hired someone to stalk Melanie Gabi.
And when the stalker turned out to be a really bad guy, she didn't get help.

Edit to clarify that Gabi originally wanted someone to pretend to stalk HER,
so that Gabi would appear to be the damsel in distress that Chat would rescue.
At some point things deteriorated and Melanie got kidnapped.

I always hated her for how for what she started in motion .... and for everything that followed after.

And her embarrassment at what she did, prevented her from telling the truth to the town.

But NONE of that, i repeat NONE of that ... is any REASON/JUSTIFICATION
to say that Gabi "deserved" to be abused.

There is never any justification for abuse. Never.

Gabi's crimes pale in comparison to most characters on the show. Besides she was shown to remorseful and wanted to confess until Nick stopped her.

I agree! Gabi is where his priorities should lie! If he found out what Nick did...Nick is TROUBLE!
